The Empire

The kingdom of Arcania was a place called Womb of the demigods. It was a place where magic flowed like a river, and where people lived in harmony with the mystical forces of the world.

At the heart of Arcania was the city of Eldrida, a bustling metropolis filled with towering spires and grand palaces. It was here that the greatest magicians of the kingdom gathered, drawn by the city's powerful magical energy. These magician combined their prowess and knowledge to discover the secrets of life.

The sun was setting over the mountains, casting a golden glow over the Academy of Eldrida. As the last rays of light faded away, a young man stood at the edge of a cliff, gazing out at the sprawling landscape before him.

His name was Adam. He had joined the Imperial Order of Mages when he was a mere 19 year old boy. He had talents in all sorts of healing magic. In the beginning he could only heal minor injuries, fractures and diseases. But after 100 years of practice, even the worst diseases evaporated away in front of him.  His presence had become so powerful that by just being around him healed minor sickness. But the one disease he could not find a solution for, one disease that had consumed the most promising magus was Death.

As the darkness closed in around him, Adam raised his hands to the sky and called upon the ancient forces of magic. he summoned forth the power of the elements, and a gust of wind whipped around him, lifting her off the ground.

As he soared above the kingdom, Adam knew that he was destined for greatness. He would stop at nothing to achieve his goal, and a smile crept up on his face. Suddenly, the world around him seemed to shift and change, and he found himself standing in a vast, empty space.

Adam looked around, confused and disoriented. He had no idea where he was or how he had gotten there. But as he stood there, he felt a presence looming behind him.

He turned around to see a tall, imposing figure dressed in shimmering robes of gold and silver. The figure looked at Jake with piercing eyes and spoke in a deep, booming voice.

"You are the one," the figure said.

“Professor!” someone tapped lightly on Adams shoulder. When he looked back he was still standing at the edge of the cliff. Behind him Ava, his assistant, was looking worried.

That dammed dream again. Adam thought.

“Professor, Are you alright?” Ava asked.

“The dream is getting more and more vivid Ava. Is this the madness that took all of them before me?” Adam looked up at the starry sky with a sigh.

“What do you want?” Adam asked.

“We found who the Intruder was.” Ava said in excitement.

“Oh! That is indeed a good news. Who was he?” Adam asked. The poor bastard had been snooping around the palace and had ran into him and now even his identity has been exposed. The situation almost made Adam smile.      .

Jack was limping in the Eldrida sewers. If he kept going for another 3-4 hours, he would make it to the exit.  His head hurt, his back hurt, and his leg was throbbing. He was hired to track an aristocrat and ran into a powerful magician.

“Bullshit!” Jack thought. Just looking at the magician had made him sleepy. When he stood up, the magician had already summoned a canon aiming at his face. Jack did not anticipate this. If it wasn’t for his magical items, Jack wouldn’t have been alive.

“I better get paid for this.” Jack thought as he limped away  to his destination.
