Chapter 1 - Waking Up

'My brain hurts!'

This is Zhang Chang's first feeling after regaining consciousness, his head seems to have been hit by a car as the pain seemed not wanting to diminish. Struggling to open his eyes, what he first saw was the scene of a carriage interior. The carriage seems to be moving as the constant wobbles worsen his pain.

After a while, the pain stabilized a little and even whit the carriage wobbling it didn't aggravate anymore. After thanking a breath he started to observe his surroundings.

It is a closed space surrounded by blackened wooden planks and around him bunched together a group of teenagers wearing some old-fashioned robes, some seem to take a look at him, but most of them had their focus elsewhere.

As he layed lump on the floor, the cold wood feel and moisty smell of mould touched his nose, all made him very uncomfortable, struggling to get up.

But it was then that the sharp pain suddenly rose from the depths of his mind.

Zhang Chang's legs failed as he fainted.

......

"Hey! Wake up!..."

In his daze mind, Zhang Chang heard someone calling him, his consciousness gradually came back and he slowly opened his eyes.

Looking back on his memory there seemed to be two types of conflicting world view. One is of modern civilization full of progress, light and peace and the other seemed deprived of progress very similarly to the ancient times and the legendary fantasy with a touch of wild feel.

'Did I cross?'

In his new memory, he had some awareness of who he is now and the basic situation that he was in.

In a test more than two months ago, his luck was considered outstanding amongst the mortals and was founded that he has the basic aptitude for cultivation. Although it was said that it was a lower aptitude but most of the sect will not reject it.

Now the headache had lessened a little, Zhang Chang then proceeded to lift his body from the cold wooden ground.

He looked at the man who woke himself up, he had a small round belly with the most noticeable feature of his face being his big nose, broad lips and was dressed in only a pair man mini-short and a half robe, looking a little funny, but in contrast, a solemn aura fluctuate around him, obviously not an ordinary man.

"Hey, you've finally woken up, a few moments later we might have to throw you as a fertilizer to our fields." When the man saw Zhang Chang wake up, he seemed to laugh a few times with delight.

Zhang Chang wrapped his head and probed his memories, and soon remembered the identity of the person in front of him.

"Thank you, Senior brother, Yan Hong." Yan Hong was the person responsible for transferring then to his new place, the Xianggong Sect

"Hey, who makes us brothers? Get up first." Yan Hong lifted Zhang Chang from the ground, although Zhang Chang wasn't too heavy but the man lifted him as if picking paper from the ground, obviously the strength of the man was extraordinary.

"Ok, now take your things and go down this road to the Receiving Hall."

Not waiting for Zhang Chang to respond Yan Hong commanded him.

Although Zhang Chang was still a little dazed by everything, he quickly bowed to Yan Hong and walked down the road indicated by Yan Hong.

As we walked the road he spotted lots of other teenagers just like him curiously taking a glance at everything.

"Hm" Them he notices from the teenagers some look at him with a vicious and other with pit. Then he remembered why he had been knocked unconscious.

It was because of the city lord daughter from where he was. The girl named Luo Jian although she was only 14 years of age, her body was already well-developed. For a young man that was the perfect enticement. So thinking now that he was the son of destiny he couldn't help make a move on her, and when she turned him down he tried to force her, only afterwards for her to screen and draw the attention of other teenagers.

What happened after went without saying - he was taught a brutal lesson by a bunch of hornies teenagers, ultimately caving to the injuries. This had ultimately profited by Zhang Chang.

As Zhang Chang finished exploring the memories, he rolled his eyes once again in disdain. No wonder the hateful gaze around him.

After checking out this memory, Zhang Chang calmed walked down the path, only to at the end of it to have a giant entrance gate and above it write with big symbols.

"I'm illiterate." Zhang Chang had a depressed face, he used to be a very prominent researcher in advanced scientific theoretical fields, but he had fallen to the height of not even being ably to read. But recalling the memory where his home barely had enough to feed 5 mouths, it was normal to give up what they regarded as non-essential.

But looking at the gate guard he quickly adjusts his face and approaches him.

"Broth..."

"Ha, Just go in and turn left there and you will arrive at the Receiving Hall" Before Zhang Chang could ask anything the gatekeeper with a bored face as if reading his mind point him to a building.

Following the gatekeeper, Zhang Chang arrived at the Hall and quietly entered it after following a group of teenagers that were in from of him, but there at the entrance was a queue of people in front of the desk counter talking and receiving something from the receptionist.

After waiting for 15 minutes or so, it was the Zhang Chang turn.

"Name, age, place of birth and who brought you in." the receptionist was a woman looking around her 50s.

"Zhang Chang, age 14, from Yang City closed to the lower Xiang River and was the bro.. a mean Senior Yan Hong that brought me in." Zhang Chang answered as he recall his memories and it so happened that his name before was Zhang Chang.

"Senior where to I go to learn how to read and write." After noticing the receptionist ending taking note, Zhang Chang asked.

"Hmm, You can go to the adjacent build to learn but you can only start tomorrow. " The receptionist answered Zhang Chang while taking a little booklet and a map and handing him. Afterwards, she points him to go inside to the Main Hall.

Inside the Main Hall, there were around sixty-seven or eight teenagers nettly arranged in seven rows one after another and still some coming in, some look even younger than him and others much older than him.

Not knowing how long an elegant middle-aged walked into the front of the Hall, his eyes calmly looked down at the teenagers and started talking.

"Today is a great day for you little daos. Now start your first step into a journey without end. You are fortunate to become the world's most noble person today, from now on to master the unparalleled strength, being able to command the wind, the rainy, the mountains and even the sky all this in an eternal dance in search of a long life."

With every word uttered by the middle-aged, the blood of the teenagers started to boil and their hearts seemed beat violent by the moment.

"From today onwards, you no longer mortals" When the middle-aged man shouted these words an aura emanated outward from his body covering every corner of the Hall.

Everyone in the Hall could feel the pressure emanating from the middle-aged man and the moment it came in contact with the already agitated young blood of the teenagers it instantaneously burst.

"Haaa" Someone could even hold any more and roared like a beast, and after the first roar, it was like a wave that swept by everyone and one after another started roaring.

Even Zhang Chang was also about to roar like a beast but only came to stop as if he had poured cold water into his mind and then his face moved as if choked with a surprise.
