Adam found himself standing atop the humming binding stone once again. The ominous sound only occurred when he died, ‘I hear that damn sound everytime i come back from death and it’s really starting to irritate me," he thought.
The humming binding stone seemed to mock him, a constant reminder of his failures and the pain that followed each death. The sound sent a shiver down his spine, fueling his anger and determination to avenge Lancer. 'I won't let this be in vain. I'll make them pay, no matter how many times I have to die,' he vowed silently.
He quickly grabbed a fresh set of clothes from a nearby chest and changed into them.
Adam dismissed the death messages, as they held no real consequences for him. He had nothing in his inventory and no dream coins, and it wasn’t like his death would cause him to have negative dream coins. The only downside to his demise was that he had lost the satchel and its contents, he would also need to replace his gear again.
Repeating the steps from the previous night he entered the Dreamverse, Adam replaced his missing gear and stole the same items from the hive. He remained cautious, ensuring that no one was aware of what he took and his activities. At one point, he narrowly avoided being spotted by a patrolling hive unit, he dodged into a chamber in the hive and waited for it to pass.
He also pilfered some clothes that fit him from the hive's crafters and restocked the chest near his binding stone, making sure he had enough garments.
‘I can’t enter the vicinity of the hive naked, that would be a dead giveaway that something is wrong.’ He mused while restocking the chest.
With his objective accomplished, he ventured deeper into the forest, determined to level up.
Adam was tantalizingly close to reaching level 8, and he knew he needed to push himself to achieve it. He stalked through the forest, hunting and attacking various beasts that crossed his path. Each victory brought him closer to his goal, and after several intense minutes of battling, he finally reached level 8. He distributed his stats focusing more on his more physical ones and once again ignoring his Charisma, especially now that he didn’t have anyone to lead since Lancers death.
Feeling a surge of power after distributing his stats, Adam decided to continue hunting the goblins parties, targeting the ones that had less goblin in it that were low levels than him. He hunted down several goblin parties, mercilessly dispatching all but always leaving one of their members alive.
His exploits soon caught the attention of the same group of level 8 goblins from the previous night, who were stunned to see Adam alive. With a smug grin, Adam taunted them, saying, "Surprised to see me?"
However, his bravado was short-lived, as the powerful goblins swiftly overwhelmed him again. Even his new level wasn't enough to save him from the formidable power of numbers. This time, Adam managed to leave more permanent injuries on his enemies, severing the arm of the goblin archer before being executed by the same goblin as before.
Once again, Adam died in the Dreamverse, which caused him to wake up in his bedroom, gasping in pain after a few minutes of his soul feeling like it was on fire.
The sensation of his soul burning felt like a thousand fiery needles piercing every inch of his body. Each time he died, it felt as if the fire lingered a little longer, eating away at his very being. The phantom pains, too, were ever-present—a constant, throbbing reminder of the violence he had endured in the Dreamverse.
His body ached from the repeated deaths, especially the killing blow in his heart again from that stupid goblin. “Can he not stab me in the heart? Maybe stab me somewhere else, It’s getting old, ughhh” he said
He knew that each time he ventured into the Dreamverse, he was growing stronger, and the goblins were rapidly losing their combat forces. With each experience, he became even more dogged in his urge to vanquish the goblins, with new grievances adding to old.

For three days, Adam persisted in his relentless crusade against the goblins, fueled by a singular purpose: to avenge Lancer. With no school to attend due to his exclusion, he spent time with one of his parents whenever they were home.
He asked his mom to delay the homeschool teacher for a few days, allowing him more time to focus on his vengeance. Although his mother was unhappy with the situation, she reluctantly agreed, mentioning that she had already identified some potential candidates for the homeschooling position.
Adam's ruthless assaults on the goblin parties left their ranks in disarray. He made a point of always leaving one goblin alive in each encounter, these goblins would then return to the village diminished and now mute from their ordeal ensuring that the tales of his exploits would spread like wildfire among the goblin population. As a result, the goblins dubbed him the Ghost of Three Days, for he would always appear on the third day to hunt them down.

After hearing a few parties call him this name it made him a bit curious about why he was being called this, he found out why he was being called this during one of the interrogation he did on the last goblin causing him to chuckle and it led to the goblin peeing his pants in fear. They feared what Adam represented; he was an immortal threat that would take their lives when they stepped foot outside the village. It seemed that him leaving a single goblin behind in his killings with their voice missing had increased his notoriety even further.
“Good, these bastards fear me now.” Adam embraced this name knowing that it would allow him to achieve his goals faster.
"I wish I was the ghost of One Day instead. It’s a shame that I can't enter the Dreamverse until the next day, or I would have instantly ended the goblins and Skab by now." They didn’t know that Adam would have to wait for the next night to enter the Dreamverse.
More time would pass in the Dreamverse; for every one hour on Earth, three would pass in the Dreamverse. If Adam spent a day hunting the goblins before dying, they would have two days of rest before Adam appeared on the third day, like a specter ready to kill more goblins.
Adam couldn't help but notice the varying reactions of the goblins to his presence. Some began to worship him as a vengeful deity, offering tributes in the hope of appeasing him, which didn't work as he would dispatch them indiscriminately, although it did make the fights easier.
Others cowered in fear, trembling at the mere mention of the Ghost of Three Days begging him to spare them and to not take their voice from them. A few even attempted to exorcise him, like that party of level 8 goblins, believing he was an evil spirit tormenting their kind.
Adam remembered the fear on the faces of that party when he appeared in front of them once again. They were missing the goblin archer from their party, and having only three members allowed him to kill them all after a brutal fight.
He felt accomplished when he drove his spear through the heart of the goblin who had repeatedly stabbed him in the heart. They gave him enough experience to be about 70% of the way to level 9.
He started to notice that the goblins were roaming in much larger parties, with some reaching a dozen members. Adam stayed away from them, even if they were much lower in level than him. After all, quantity had a quality of its own. He also avoided smaller parties of half a dozen goblins due to their higher levels.
As the goblins' fear and uncertainty grew, Adam took advantage of the situation to hunt beasts on his own, leveling up while the heat died down.
He quickly reached level 9 and acquired a new skill: [Charge]. This addition to his arsenal allowed him to close the distance between himself and his enemies with unprecedented speed, making him even more formidable in battle.
With his new ability, Adam devised a strategic combo that combined his existing skills to maximize his combat prowess. He would wait patiently for his enemies to be within ambush range before initiating his attack. First, he would use [Battle Cry] to startle and intimidate his opponents, weakening their resolve. Then, he would swiftly close the distance with [Charge], targeting the enemy in the center of the group.
Once he had breached their ranks, Adam would unleash a devastating [Whirlwind], a whirl of destruction that would take out as many enemies as possible in one swift motion.
