Chapter 1 - Overtake; pt I.

Chapter 1 - Overtake; pt I.

Daniel gets up whenever he wakes up and has no future intentions of ever changing this. He hates the morning sun and most importantly, the sunlight that sneakily slips through the curtains. His parents got tired of him a long time ago and decided to tell him to get an apartment; conveying a monthly allowance of 1000 dollars for Daniel to live on his own. His apartment costs 800 dollars per month, so he is left with 200 dollars at the end of it all.

Instead of saving the remaining money for potential better investments, Daniel insists on buying at least 3 packs of cigarettes per week. Given how they cost up to 6 dollars each, Daniel easily only has 100 or so above dollars to live for the month. To further add, Daniel absolutely loves energy drinks and hates drinking water. His favorite is Mango Loco, from the brand Monster. Sometimes he switches up from Mango Loco to Ultra Gold, but it's usually just Mango Loco as he loves the flavor to it. Due to the cost, it goes up to 2 dollars and since Daniel consumes at least 2 per day, therefore, Daniel actually has less than 100 dollars to live with for the rest of the month.

He always asks his landlord lady to cook something for him as he clarifies very specifically that he is paying for university constantly and that it would help if he didn't have to pay the additional food. The lady symphatizes with him but deep down is very tired and honestly annoyed at his pesky attitude. In reality, Daniel is not attending university and doesn't have a degree in psychology like he always says. Instead, he attends night-time school.

Why, night-school? That would be because Daniel never successfully managed to get past the 10th grade in day-time school. Reasons being; a mixture of lack of motivation and massive accumulation of bad grades due to presential faults in exams. A total of five wasted years and now, Daniel is 19 years old and still hasn't the 12th-grade certificate.

Whenever it's time to go to night school, Daniel wears sports clothes and tries to look cool by putting his Nike sneakers on all the time. In addition, he wears a white and blue slim-fit jacket alongside fit black sports jeans. However, that's all he wears day by day and nothing else. Not even when his clothes are dirtied. Last but not least, he wears an assembly of ten rings in all of his fingers, each different.

On the way out of his apartment, Daniel looks at the mirror and thinks of himself as cool and important due to his sufficient appearance, but he never bathes before going out nor does he brush his teeth, letting tartar accumulate extensively. He does put on his Adidas cologne but that's about it. The moment he leaves his miniature of apartment, his landlord lady keeps an eye on him from the outside but never greets him.

His way to school consists of going to the train station, catching the train and be off on his way to the school thereon. In the train, he always takes the higher section instead of the lower section.

No matter what, he will try to get a seat and hates having to stand up. Whenever an elderly member gazes at him hoping for a seat, he ignores that gaze and continues to fiddle on his phone. At the moment the train is reaching its destination, Daniel pushes past everyone and puts himself in front of the door, insisting on being the one who leaves first. Naturally, he always is the first one to pick the passport machine and this is something that has not changed for Daniel.

There is a young, disabled girl at the front of the station Daniel always leaves off to school, but he never leaves any money, unlike the majority of those who are behind him on the passport machines. As a matter of fact, he chokes every once in a while in laughter at how the blind girl is always drolling due to intense starvation. Not only that, but he has taken a picture of her face and whenever he is up for a giggle, he just looks at her.

Needless to say is, Daniel is always late for school. But that's not a problem, because, so is at least half of his class. The majority of his class consists of boys and a few girls. Daniel finds his male classmates either complete psychos or complete spineless losers who will achieve nothing in life. Of course, Daniel doesn't affiliate himself with the latter. As for the girls, he treats the fat/unattractive girls as non-existent and only has eyes for the attractive ones.

He believes that he is best suited for them and that they are, well, a perfect fit for him. His reasoning being: if they are under the same circumstance as him, and they don't find the others attractive by some sort, Daniel is automatically the best fit by nature. And while unrealistic, Daniel can't see that it really isn't like that. There is, of course, a girl in class, who is the major crush of Daniel.

Her name is Whitley. Whitley has beautiful hazel eyes and dark-sharp eyelashes. Her fair skin tone complements her long-well-kept orange hair. Her clothes aren't too revealing but she fits nicely in practically everything she wears, and unlike Daniel, her clothing choice is drastically versatile and variable. Today, she's wearing all black. Black shirt, black skirt, black stockings, black boots, and black make-up. When Daniel arrived in class, he starred at her for 3 seconds but not any longer.

His pride wouldn't allow him to look at another girl for more than 2 seconds, but for Whitley, he would always analyze her from up to bottom. Nonetheless, that was all that ever happened as usual. Daniel and Whitley seated on opposite seats. Whitley in the front and Daniel all the way to the back. Daniel, instead of seating in a place closer to Whitley, opted to always be on the back seats because he thought of himself as cool for not taking the initiative.

4 hours was all it took of Daniel's time in school, as classes were only from 8 pm to midnight. Despite being multiple projects late, Daniel didn't care and put his top priority in being the first one in class to leave. He loved giving his classmates, and most importantly, Whitley, the vast impression that he had something incredibly important to do. That it was a nuisance, the fact that Daniel, had to even attend night classes like this. In contrast, Daniel was not in a rush and just pretended to be in one.

There is also the fact that Daniel might've been overly conscious about some of his male classmates to whom he considers psychopaths and as a defensive mechanism, he might've avoided them by taking the initiative to be the first one to leave. But, this is not something Daniel has in mind.

"Holy fuck, she's hot!" Daniel shouted, his shout thundering all over his apartment.

Every night without fail, Daniel would masturbate to Whitley and indulge in many delusional fantasies involving her. But, despite doing so, and considering what his fantasies suggested, he never felt happier and instead felt incredibly empty whenever he was done indulging in this atrocious act. Ultimately, he would stare at the ceiling in solitude without any positive thoughts in mind.

That night, despite winter being around the corner, Daniel slept comfortably under three warm blankets and a smoothing temperature conditioner increasing the temperature of the morbidly cold room while torrential rain began to pour outside mercilessly.

The end of November came and December emerged, with it, arose a new element.

On his comfy blue pajamas, Daniel pulled out a cigarette and started to smoke while going to the mail box to check something. It would be something that he would check every month and it would come every month without failure.

He checked it, noticed that his landlord lady, who was feeding her stray cats, greeted him with a sour gaze, and checked it again. Daniel took a long turn to smoke and stroke once more, checking it once again.

"...That's weird..." Daniel anxiously said, fiddling with his medium length black hair with his right hand holding the cigar.

Daniel decided to ignore the issue and he also decided to skip school today as he was feeling sleepy. Of course, his school was much later on, but he preferred the idea of being an element of absence to his classroom, but noticeably, Whitley, because by doing so, he would be on her mind, or so he thought.

Through a heavy length of sleep, Daniel woke up at midnight and decided to smoke while the torrential rain continued to pour outside of his apartment. Like before, he did the same thing as he did in the morning.

He checked the mail box but the result was the same. Furthermore, he checked the day of the week and it was already December 2nd.

"You are fucking kidding me, right? Two days late? What the fuck is going on...." Daniel whispered in paranoia as he struck another cigarette with the lighter.

Yet again, Daniel decided to avoid the issue. Daniel felt hungry but he knew that he couldn't bother the landlord lady at this hour, so he warmed up some water and ate a cup of noodles. He turned on the TV and watched history documents on a history channel for two hours without flinching until he just got bored and decided to sleep again, although he would soon wake up in the morning for a completely partial reason.

"...." Daniel's eyes began to slowly yet painfully open as he heard some noise.

That noise came from his door, after further awakening. Daniel couldn't remember when was the last time that someone had knocked on his apartment door but the reason for the knocking became crystal clear once he realized who was knocking at the door tremendously.

"Huh..." Daniel couldn't quite figure out what words to say as he faced the one behind the door on his pajamas still "Hello, mister..." The landlord lady greeted him with cynical eyes "I don't suppose I am greatly occupying your time right now?" She politely asked.

Daniel's landlord lady was well-above her age and was nearing her 70's. Her skin was so rotten that it looked like she had fish scales on her face; her posture was more crooked than a tilted landslide. She was also severely shorter than Daniel, so to her, Daniel looked like a tower.

However, none of those were the issue at hand. Daniel was in trouble.

He scratched the back of his head, pulled a cigarette from his tobacco pack, lit it up and started to smoke in front of his landlord lady.

"...I actually must get ready for my university classes..." Daniel said with a smile, exhibiting his subpar clean teeth "I'm quite the important figure in my class. My teacher is always asking me if I could help out my classmates since I understand so much about the stuff in class. So, as we are speaking, I'm actually in a hurry..." Daniel concluded, starting to undress himself as he reached out to his clothes all over his messy floor.

In less than a minute, Daniel was storming out of his apartment and making his way out of his apartment without hearing whatever the landlord lady had to potentially say. He left in a seemingly hurry with the look of someone who had something incredibly important to do, and thus, the landlord lady was forced to assume that what Daniel just had spoken was the ultimate truth.

2 minutes later, after climbing up as couple of streets, he would turn on his left, midst the bright morning with light rain, Daniel would arrive at his usual local store and he would buy a new pack of cigarettes along with his favorite energy drink, Mango Loco. No matter the day and the weather, whether it's sunny or rainy, Daniel always buys the same things from the Indian convenience store and the owner of the place couldn't be happier over the fact that he has a frequent customer like Daniel.

This time around, he encountered a classmate of his on the same store that he was in, while picking up which cigarette pack to buy.

"Daniel, what the hell are you doing here so early? Holy shit, what an early bird you are!" Rodrick patted Daniel on the back from behind, not lightly, and anchored his right arm around Daniel lastly.

For a second, Daniel was stunned as he had never found one of his classmates anywhere else outside of the classroom. But that was not quite the reason as to why Daniel was stunned.

Aside from his eccentric spiky red hair, Rodrick was slightly older than Daniel, possesses a completely bulkier build, unlike Daniel's fragile figure, and had a wide arsenal of gang tattoos alongside multiple piercings in sensitive places like the lips, eyebrows, and tongue.

Naturally, this was one of Daniel's classmates to whom he labelled as a psychopath.

"...Hey." Daniel meekly said, inhaling briefly but very consciously "Malboro... Hey, buy me one too." He demanded and continued "I'm broke, so just do it for me, yeah?" Rodrick finished, pressuring Daniel's neck slowly with his arm anchor.

As much as Daniel wanted to refuse this, he was deep down afraid of the possible consequences of declining this. What if Rodrick just followed Daniel and beat him to a pulp? What if Rodrick followed him all the way to his apartment? What if there were others waiting outside for Rodrick to gang up on Daniel? And most importantly, what about in school when Daniel leaves classes?

All these questions pilled up on Daniel's mind as well as his very unfortunate dilemma that has been ongoing since two days ago. With this in mind, Daniel made his decision.

"Y-Yeah, of course... Wanna drink a Monster too?" Daniel suggested and Rodrick couldn't be happier "Holy shit, you're the man! Are you fucking rich by any chance?" Rodrick asked with a sarcastic yet serious tone as he picked a beer from the public store's refrigerator instead of a Monster "Ah, nah..." Daniel simply declined "But this shit is expensive... How much money you got?" Rodrick shotgunned the question while placing the beer and his Malboro pack on the payment table.

Daniel immediately regretted suggesting to Rodrick that he could afford more. He remained silent as he just grabbed a note of 20 and handed it to the cashier, who was eyeing Daniel with a nervous yet fixated look, as he had extended his right hand telling Daniel: "Give me the money and get out of here along with this guy!", to which Daniel happily obliged without any complaints.

As Daniel was attempting to leave the store, Rodrick snatched the change that the cashier handed to Daniel, which was just about 6 dollars.

"I'll give you back next week, man." Rodrick reassured as Daniel watched his change being snatched away from him "....Ah, yeah, man, no problem. Take your time!" Daniel replied back, as the torrential rain began to pour "My maaaaaan! Catch you later!" Rodrick put his black hoodie on and rushed to the nearby train station, checking the money that he had just snatched.

There was a slight problem now; the torrential rain prevented Daniel from moving from the spot that he was in. Right below the entrance, Daniel stood for a while, as he watched multiple people putting on their umbrellas and some rushing in due to the meteoric-like raindrops. Though Daniel wanted to stay in that exact same spot until the rain was over, he was blocking a few customers from entering the store. And of course, the owner wasn't having any of that.

"I'm sorry, but could you make way...? More customers want to walk in, and..." Meekly, the owner was glancing at the customers who were being drenched by the rain, and Daniel said "They can just walk in though?" With an arrogant tone, Daniel inclined that "Oh, come on! He's not buying anything from you, just kick him out, cashier!" One of the people being drenched argued back.

Once again, Daniel's options were reduced. He could either endure further humiliation or he could just leave.

"...." Daniel further pondered his options.

He checked his wallet and waltzed back into the store, allowing the clients to walk in. For about 10 minutes, Daniel went back in circles, bought nothing and pretended to be in deep thought about what he wanted to buy while he was just waiting for the rain to stop, which it did not.

Additionally, the owner had to constantly keep an eye on Daniel to see whether or not he would steal something.

After such time, Daniel plugged his earbuds in and embraced the fact that he would have to be drenched. His outfit didn't consist of a hoodie nor did he have an umbrella. He opened his Monster and started to take a small sip first before getting out of the store. Shortly after, he went not to the train station, but to the underground subway chain of stations, in which Daniel took all the lines for half a day, wasting countless hours.

Around the afternoon, even though the rain had not stopped, Daniel took refuge on the entrance of a church just so he could fiddle with his phone. In it, he called a specific person numerous times and unlike the other times, his calls went unsuccessful as no one picked them up; making Daniel far more nervous than he should have. Ultimately, he took a heavy sip of his Monster can, emptying it and throwing it to the grass nearby.

He smoked three cigarettes in a row before leaving from the church's entrance. It was threatening night time and Daniel figured that returning now would be the plausible time as the landlord lady would truly believe that he was out. As such, he returned to his apartment after a long way back and immediately checked his mail box once again, only for repetitive disappointment.

"Hello..." The landlord lady opens her door as it's right next to Daniel's apartment and greets him, much to his discomfort "Oh... Hi there." Daniel attempts to disclose any further conversation as he brings out his key to open the door of his apartment "Please let's talk, it's urgent." She insists as Daniel opens the door "I'm tired, let's talk tomorrow, alright?" Daniel shows a tired expression with a fake smile to the lady, hoping she would back off but she says "This can't be avoided any longer, and if we don't solve this now, I will have to call the police."

Daniel couldn't ignore those words, so he put his keys back to his pockets, leaving the door open and facing the landlord lady with displease in sequence. The rain continued to pour, but the two of them were in a sheltered area so it didn't conflict with the ambiance.

"I finally got your attention, mister--" She attempted to make her standing, but Daniel immediately interrupted "There's been a problem." Daniel says, gaining the full attention of the landlord lady "My monthly money hasn't been mailed to me yet and my mother isn't picking up..." He explains the situation "I see... So that's why..." She expresses her lament "If it's alright... Until I get a hold of what's going on, could you perhaps hold this off for a while?" Daniel very politely asked and added "Just until I find out what's going on. I promise!" He reassured.

She thought for a while and decided to emphasize with his position and trust his word.

"Well, that's fine... But do you have a simple idea of how soon you could pay your rent?" She asked, hoping for some reassurance "Um..." Daniel thought long and hard about this before answering and opted with "In a week or so, at worst" He wanted to say before Christmas, but wasn't confident enough about whether or not that option wouldn't backfire at him "Then that's fine." The landlord lady greeted him with a smile, easing up Daniel's worries.

Making her way to her own house on the right, she turned back one more time and simply asked:

"Do you not have classes at night?" Daniel successfully managed to unlock his door and didn't think before replying back "I do." He simply said "Then, what were you doing until now?" She asked "Well, I was having classes. A whole lot." Daniel continued to answer oblivious to the trick "And you're going to have more classes at night today?" She finalized.

Only after realizing what was going on, did Daniel decide to think before answering back once again.

"You see, my girlfriend got a cold and she goes to the same class as I do." Daniel told her "Oh, and?" She could not understand where Daniel was going with this "She asked me to not go to classes so I could text her. Whitley's so clingy, but she just loves me that much, hahah." Daniel laughed out loud.

The landlord lady still couldn't believe Daniel and so, asked one last question.

"You seem very happy when talking about her. Tell me, what do you like about her?" She asked Daniel.

This question was a simple one for Daniel. Or... so he thought. For the upcoming five seconds, Daniel would not speak as he couldn't come to a concrete conclusion on what exactly to say. So he simply said, meekly:

"Her smile...? She's such an angel when she smiles. You should see it for yourself!" Daniel said as he closed his door.

Daniel would think deeply on why he said that to the landlord lady when he never saw Whitley's smile once in his life. Also, Daniel would skip his night classes just so the landlord lady wouldn't suspect that he was lying to her.

Another late morning came to Daniel. As usual, he would take a Monster can out of his refrigerator, lit up a cigarette and started smoking/drinking on the edge of his bed. The rain had stopped but the sky was still mildly clouded. As well, he checked his mail box and found nothing. Furthermore, he called his mother once again, but no one picked up on the other side.

The situation was dire, to say the least, and Daniel knew that. However, he was too lazy and unmotivated to make a plan so he thought nothing of it, hoping for something good to happen instead.

He lazed around, switching between surfing on the Internet and watching TV, until he received a knocking on his door.

"....Not this shit hag again, I swear to God..." Daniel fummed as he went to the door but was stunned when he found a policeman on the other side when he opened his door "Good afternoon, I'm sorry to bother you but are you Daniel Amaral Lead?" He asked.

Daniel didn't have to think twice about the possibility and the extremely high likelihood of the landlord lady had deceived him and had called the police on him for not paying his rent, so he was beyond nervous.

"...What brings you here? I'm Daniel Amaral Lead. Look, if this is about the---" The policeman interrupted him right away "I am, extremely sorry for your loss." He bowed down and paid his respects, to which Daniel did not understand at first "...Huh?" He became puzzled "Your mother, Regina Lead, passed away from cardiac arrest on December 1st. I am, once again, terribly sorry." The policeman finally said the whole truth.

As Daniel absorbed the shock, he thought about something completely partial to his mother's death; his biggest worry that would come from this event. And in regard to that, Daniel asked the policeman something.

"....D-Did she by some chance leave something on my name?" Daniel asked, hoping for a positive answer "...Unfortunately not, you should speak about this with your father as he is your legal guardian and will know better about this than I do." The policeman clarified.

The policeman shortly left and announced to Daniel that his father had declared a funeral for his mother on December 16th. However, those words weren't important to Daniel, as he had an even bigger issue to deal with. Fortunately for Daniel, the landlord lady that had been watching their conversation decided to intervene and comfort the shocked Daniel, who was in deep thought.

"...I'm sorry, it must be incredibly tough..." She offered her condolences to Daniel "Yeah... Now that she's gone, I really don't have a way to... you know..." He played a word game with her "I understand... 5 years ago, my grandson died of a fire accident and so... I too know what it's like to suddenly lose an important person..." She griefed "Thank you... I... really am lost at words right now...." Daniel took this chance to then ask "Would it be alright if I could sort things out for a while? I really don't have a way to pay you back right now..." He further emphasized "That's alright, son... Take your time, I don't mind..." She hugged Daniel and Daniel remained silent.

Though unknown for how long, Daniel had managed to buy more time to avoid paying the rent. And now, Daniel had the option to call his father and ask his help but... Daniel didn't. As a matter of fact, he didn't even consider the option as "realistic".

So, Daniel spent his day thinking on how he could increase his money and a few options arrived at the surface for him. He could get a job, but he didn't like to receive orders, so that was out of the question. He thought of robbing a local store that has no security system but Daniel didn't want to be a potential target from the police. There was also the fact that Daniel had no realistic way to convey an assault.

This was quite the dilemma for Daniel, but he wasn't too concerned about it. Instead of being worried, Daniel smoked and drank more Monster cans than ever.

By night, it was time for classes and Daniel was getting ready to leave for classes. Daniel checked his wallet and realized that he was below 50 dollars.

Suddenly, a sense of urgency started to click for Daniel and he pondered whether or not was the time to really be prideful about not getting a job. At the same time he realized that he did not have a certificate for the 12th grade, which was essential in getting him a job. Nevertheless, Daniel continued to ponder his options.

Instead of taking his issue seriously in class by dedicating some time to make up his mind, Daniel would look back and forth to Whitley as she was paying attention to class. Daniel, on the other hand, wouldn't even bring out his books or writing utensils.

When classes were over, as usual, Daniel would leave class far earlier than the rest when the bell rang.

However, someone would make sure to catch up to him this time as Daniel was descending the main stairway.

Daniel had imagined that Whitley would one day just talk to him out of the blue due to a huge interest on him and surely, he was confident that it would happen, but...

"Hey man! Slow down! The fuck." Rodrick caught up to Daniel in no time and Daniel, was, to say the least, nervous "Oh, hey..." Daniel greeted him, but mainted a relatively fast pace but not too fast in order to not go against Rodrick's words "I was worried, man! You didn't show up yesterday. I was kinda sad, you know?" Rodrick said with obvious sarcasm lingering around "Where were you?" He asked in a rather serious way "It was raining a lot so I didn't feel like leaving my house..." Daniel justified as of lately, torrential rains were a common thing "Oh, so that's why. Hey, wanna go somewhere now?" Rodrick suggested, in a playful tone "Ah, nah, I'm in a hurry, sorry." Daniel rushed his step and attempted to make his way to the school's entrance "Hey, slow the fuck down, I said!" Rodrick slammed Daniel's right shoulder and some of his classmates were watching, which caused Daniel to be embarassed.

Rodrick then said some comforting words to Daniel.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, idiot. Just slow down and keep up the pace, alright?" He said "...Alright..." Daniel confirmed, afraid "I'm gonna meet up with my crew and we're gonna have some fun. Come along, ya?" Rodrick suggested but Daniel interpreted that as an order rather than a suggestion "...Can't it be some other day, I have things to do..." He replied back, with his voice progressively getting quieter "Man... Don't make this hard for you and just come along. You won't like what will happen if you don't." Rodrick coldly replied to Daniel.

For a second, Daniel thought of running away simply and never coming back to school. But, that's all under the assumption that he would be faster than Rodrick, to which, Daniel didn't believe he was.

"Where are we going...?" Daniel asked, already having accepted Rodrick's plot "Some place cool." Rodrick simply told him that, fiddling with his phone.

Daniel had an idea that Rodrick was sending messages to his friends but didn't want to pry as he could get on Rodrick's bad side.

He accompanied Rodrick to the place, which was in an abandoned building, right in-between two small buildings, around midnight. It was raining, but only lightly. Their destination was at the top of the building and as Daniel got there with Rodrick, he saw that there were other five male individuals on the scene.

They all got dead silent once they saw Daniel, and Rodrick took the chance.

"Yo, boys. I got great news, I found a patreon to our plan!" Rodrick declared out loud, further confusing the nervous Daniel at the scene "This is Daniel! Our upcoming patreon! He will be the one who will raise our funds from here on out!" Finalized Rodrick.

Of course, Daniel had no idea what was going on, but the thought of even fighting back in the scenario of six against one was beyond ridiculous.

"Holy shit!" One of the individuals approached Daniel, a caucasian male in his late 20's, full of tattoos and arguably taller than Daniel by a long shot "You're gonna help us out?! Holy shit, holy shit! Finally, we can buy it!" He said in the happiest form possible, hyping up the others who also started to circle Daniel.

Daniel was more occupied with the fact that if he ever tried to fight back in any matter possible, death would be possible as there would be no other witnesses.

"Now, now, settle down!" Rodrick told the others "Don't push our dear fucking patreon like that! Let's show some grace, yeah?" He reasoned and the others agreed "Daniel over here has agreed to pay us for our funds as we WANT the good stuff." Upon hearing that, Daniel got slightly interested in what Rodrick had just said and accidentally spoke out loud "What "stuff"?" Rodrick was stunned for a second as he didn't think Daniel would speak, but this provoked a wicked smile on Rodrick's face "Well, aren't you a curious one..." Rodrick put pressure on Daniel's shoulders by taking a hold of them as well as forcefully massaging them.

Rain then, slowly but surely, under a night time, started to pour down intensively on the cold ground.

"Dear patreon, please suffice us with our campaign by aiding us with a starting 100 dollars and then, we will tell you more about the "stuff"." Rodrick demanded for starters and the other individuals circled Daniel "...What...?" Daniel was in disbelief with Rodrick's request "Mhm? Didn't you hear me? I said, suffice us with a small loan for starters, patreon. Then, we will consider whether or not we will tell you about it." Rodrick repeated himself, with different words "No, but..." Daniel looked around and only found hungry gazes who spelled death to him if he said something negative "...I don't have 100 dollars...." Daniel came out and said it, despite knowing fully well what the consequences could be.

Much to Rodrick and the others displease, this brought immense dissatisfaction and so, Rodrick was forced to act.

"Hold him." He said, and two of the members took a hold of Daniel's legs and arms almost immediately "W-Wait! Just wait!" Daniel implored "I don't have 100 dollars but I have around 40...." He spoke with tears running through his face down "Hear that guys? Our patreon only has 40 dollars." Rodrick stated.

One of them took Daniel's wallet from his backpockets and discovered just how much Daniel was truly holding.

"Turns out it's a little bit more than 40..." Rodrick remarked, dissatisfied "That just won't do, patreon. That simply just..." Rodrick winded his right arm back and fired it like a shotgun "WON'T DO!" Thus landing it on Daniel's nose.

It wasn't the first time that Daniel had been hit in his life but it felt incredibly painful nonetheless.

"Argh!" Daniel screamed at the impact from his damaged nose "Not to a good start, patreon! Come the fuck on, you got money to buy cigars and stupid energy drinks and this is all you got?! My bullshit radar is tingling and it's coming all from you!" Rodrick this time launched a punch to the solar plexus and followed it up with a kick to Daniel's balls, leaving him on the ground.

With a combination of a ragged breath and a bleeding nose, Daniel lost all hope as he became completely vulnerable to whatever Rodrick would throw at him.

Multiple blows to the face, varying from slaps, punches, finger pokes, as well as kicks to various parts of the body, were all delivered to Daniel, but what terrified Daniel the most was when Rodrick ordered the rest to do one specific thing.

"No... No, no, no, no!! Oh God, please no!" Daniel begged but they didn't listen and proceeded with Rodrick's request "Holy shit!" One of the members started to laugh out loud, demonically "It's so fucking small! What the fuck!" Another one of them added "Can you even fuck with that thing?! HAHAHA!!" And another rolled on the wet floor midst the pouring rain.

With Daniel's wallet and each of them with a piece of Daniel's clothes; shoes included, they took off from that spot running like lightning, although Rodrick said something to Daniel, who was freezing naked on the ground, crying:

"Hey, patreon! If I don't have MY 100 dollars by tomorrow, I'm gonna fucking kill you! And don't even think about telling the police, I will fucking find you and bury you alive if you do!!" He delivered.

----------------------------------------

Thankfully for Daniel, it was extremely late at night, so practically no one, except for a few minor number of people who came across his way, did see him completely naked and beaten up on his way to his own apartment. Daniel keeps a spare key underneath his apartment's entrance mattress, so he was able to get in just fine. Although Daniel's arrival to his own apartment woke up his landlord lady, by the time he was inside, she couldn't catch a glimpse of him.

Daniel wanted to cry and bowl his eyes out as quickly as possible, but was more terrified of the thought of Rodrick and his gang actually killing him if he failed to deliver 100 dollars. There was also the fact that Daniel was authentically broke and he was never someone to save up money, which he deeply regretted now.

He took a hot steaming bath, which he also regretted due to his new wounds. The bruise on his nose was a complete fracture and Daniel could barely inhale from his right nostril. His ribs were semi-fractured as well which became a problem to when Daniel slept, because he always sleeps side ways and never face up.

After a horrible night, Daniel woke up extremely early in the morning, against his will.

He put up some back up clothes: a black sweater which contained a hoodie that he immediately put on without forgetting, black pants, and old Nike blue shoes. In addition, he put on a black surgical mask to cover up his face bruise, namely his nose. Lastly, he decided to wear black shades too.

Due to his wallet no longer being in his possession, for Daniel to get to his desired location, he would have to set on foot, painfully walking around 4 kilometers before arriving there.

The sky was clouded and it was threatening to rain after a long rainy night previously. It was almost 8 am and Daniel awaited for a certain person to make their move nearby the train station that he had always left off.

However, as soon as the person arrived the scene at that desired location, Daniel's streak of misfortune further expanded when he witnessed two policemen occupying the street.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me...!!! They are never here, what the hell..." Daniel angrily spoke to himself silently as he hid behind a building's wall while miring the location with precise attention.

But that was alright for Daniel, as he figured that some adversity was inevitable. All he had to do was wait until the policemen were out of the perimeter and had gone somewhere far away from the current parameter.

It took them around 10 minutes to exit the scene and when they left, Daniel made sure to see where their car went and only after confirming that their presence no longer posed an issue did he advance with his plan. Even though the streets were crowded on the morning day, Daniel knew that he had to do it.

He started to walk right into it and gathered all of his wits, that is, until, the person in charge, came out of it and looked into Daniel from afar.

Even though Daniel had his black shades on, he felt like the person knew that it was Daniel. Maybe it was the way Daniel walked, or maybe how he had memorized his height from all the times he had bought from that convenience store; Daniel sorely became convinced that he would be on his radar list if he were to commit.

He turned back in panic. But after a few seconds, turned back once again in direction to the convenience store; didn't speak to the owner who was at the entrance and started to walk in.

Daniel had not much to do, or anything at all, he was simply trying to get the owner to mess up by going to a place that would give Daniel the territorial advantage.

But it was all meaningless when the owner spoke to Daniel, from the reception desk.

The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

"The usual Monster, sir?" He simply said.

That was enough for Daniel to turn back and completely leave. There was no point in trying to argue back because Daniel would have to reveal his voice to him, which would ultimately just prove his identity.

"What the hell is going on lately.... So much bad luck... For Christ's sake!" He kicked the ground and proceeded with his secondary plan.

Firstly, he started with all the targets he knew. Despite not having a passport, he could enter the stations on foot, but he would have to walk tremendously in-between and since Daniel had no money to buy energy drinks or even catch a breath with a smoke due to his extravagant consumerism, he would be tired quickly; having to take breaks constantly.

Some of them were asleep, so Daniel went for those firstly. They were spread all over the stations as they knew that they could get some money from the people that would board the trains and would leave for work. The problem lied in those who were already awake and were constantly on the active move on begging people to give them money.

"........" Daniel analyzed the money he had gathered thus far and it was close to 20 dollars.

Already having stolen money from less than 10 homeless people due to the fact that some of them leave their money out in the open; Daniel started to eye those who had a bigger budget to be stolen. Naturally, it was never too much, but that wasn't the point.

He was waiting for a time when the train wouldn't arrive and the people from the previous train would all be outside of the station. But that was just impossible and unrealistic. People would see him no matter what, but Daniel still continued.

This time, he approached an old man with a long dirty beard on his 40's.

"Please be so kind to give me some of your time and assist me----" Daniel didn't wait and snatched the hat that was upside down and snatched all of the coins immediately; gaining the attention of a multitude of people.

He then started to run like crazy to the station's exit.

"S-Someone stop him!! He took all my money!" The beggar pleaded to the multitude and a salaryman who was passing through started to run towards Daniel "Shit! The fuck is this?! He's seriously trying to chase me?!" Daniel started to panic but nevertheless decided to run up ahead and climbed the stairs.

Instead of climbing the stairs with one step, Daniel took two steps ahead each time, completely losing the salaryman that was behind him. The beggar was chasing after him too, so Daniel had no time to rest. Plus, the beggar would plead to others to chase Daniel, but the gap in distance made it so hard to chase after him that most simply didn't bother.

After splitting up between buildings and entering an underground mall, Daniel went to the mall's bathroom, stood there for twenty minutes, and only after, did he get out of it. He counted all the coins and it came close to five dollars, which, was something Daniel just had to take as a win.

He put out his mask and drank some water from the sink, which was something Daniel had not done in so long.

"I'm seriously not cut out for physical stuff..." He said to his reflection in the mirror, putting his mask back on.

Now ready to continue, Daniel made his way to the exit of the underground mall; going to the opposite way of where he entered and proceeded.

Daniel had a stop station in mind, so he naturally travelled there on foot. One hour later, Daniel thought of using "his" money to satisfy his hunger and thirst, but he feared his lack of results and didn't want to take the risk. So instead of enduring, Daniel stole three apples from an open fruit stand from a fruit store. Thankfully, Daniel wasn't caught as he immediately picked the apples as he was walking by without stopping; and the owner of the shop wasn't looking.

In the upcoming two hours, Daniel would repeat the simple process of looking for homeless people who were asleep and would have their money out in the open ready to be stolen and thus snatching it; or if they were awake and had money to be stolen, he would wait until there weren't many people close by so no one could catch him after stealing it.

It was already afternoon and Daniel had robbed a total of 30 homeless people ultimately earning him close to 60 dollars.

But now there was a huge issue.

The police was on the scene and they were investigating the streets and so, Daniel was forced to act. He knew of a way where he could easily get away with this but it involves wasting a portion of his newly acquired money.

So, Daniel entered a bazaar that was selling cheap clothes and before anything, he asked something to the clerk.

"Do you have a bathroom I can use to change when I finish buying all my clothes?" He asked and the response was positive, as a bathroom lied on the left hall of the store.

Daniel bought a pair of white pants, a white hoodie sweater, and a pair of black sneakers. Unnecessarily, he bought a new surgical mask with the color red and red sunglasses. Also, a sports black hat. A total of 6 dollars had to be wasted and Daniel was brought down to below 60 dollars but not below 50.

After using the bathroom, he tucked all of his previous clothes onto the toilet, completely clogging it. And subsequently, he put on his new clothes.

But this time around, he wore the black hat instead of putting the hoodie back on as he didn't want to completely fall victim into the pattern of the known suspect.

His plan was essentially all coming back to full circle once he arrived at the final destination. Daniel just had to collect more 50 dollars and he could escape Rodrick's wrath. He was not entitled into even thinking of the possibility of running away from this as the thought of having to run away from Rodrick haunted him.

"Well, that's checkmate for you." He boldly declared as he approached the target "Please help me... I can't see and my parents died a long time ago..." The individual pleaded to Daniel, as she noticed Daniel's presence through his voice.

Some people were looking at the scenery, but Daniel simply didn't care and snatched all of the visible notes from the big open guitar case, containing all the money that the blind girl had accumulated from over the years.

When he did so, he ran as fast as he possibly could to avoid any potential incidents as before.

But, this time around, his luck completely ran out as he was busted on his way out of the station by two policemen who were lying out there in the waiting all along.

"Alright prick, end of the line, hands behind your back, now!" One of the policemen ordered Daniel as he froze on the spot, completely paralyzed due to how much attention he was getting from the sidelines "Didn't you hear me?!" The policemen forced his way to Daniel and pulled him over to the wing door of his car "Argh! Let go of me! I did nothing wrong!" Daniel argued "You think you're funny, don't cha? We've been on your tailing all day, so when I say end of the line, it means, end of the line!" He locked Daniel's wrists from behind; tucking him inside the car.

Just like that, Daniel had earned himself a trip to the nearest police station.

On the way to the police station, Daniel feared going to jail immensely, so his paranoia grew like wildfire.

Once inside the police station, Daniel was isolated into a small white room containing four security cameras on all top four sides of the ceiling.

A familiar face, after ten minutes in the wait, walked in, with a couple of files in his hand and a mystery box that he placed on the floor.

"We meet again." He says as he sits face to face with Daniel on the receiving end "...." Daniel avoided his gaze "Look, I emphasize with your situation and I can see, well, why you would do it..." The policeman stopped for a second but went against his words immediately "Actually, I don't. Tell me, Daniel, why did you go around and stole from countless homeless people?" He asked, very seriously.

Daniel had two options here and he went with the first one.

"I stole from the blind girl only, what are you talking about?" He speaks the truth from his perspective "Don't bother, Daniel..." The policeman pulled out the contents from the mystery box below to the table, completely drenching the table and Daniel partially "It's clever, but if there's evidence to work with, then it's useless." He finishes.

The contents on the table were Daniel's previous clothes before his new ones, so Daniel figured that a part of his case was already solved. However, he was not entirely convinced that the policeman wasn't simply bluffing just to get him to tell the truth, so he tried another idea.

"Again, what are you talking about? I don't understand." He feigned ignorance, which provoked a smirk from the middle-aged policeman "We asked the owner if someone with those clothes and came in and he said yes, but that wasn't enough due to your overprotective appearance." He said "So, we got another clue from a place close to where you were first spotted, which was close to the first train station it was firstly sighted an individual with a black hoodie with a mask stealing money from the homeless. It was from a store that you are very much familiar with. All we had to do was to ask if he knew who it could possibly be." He further added "That's it? Bullshit! It wasn't me!" Daniel angrily denied in face of no seemingly concrete evidence.

The policeman sighed back and confronted Daniel with another set of words.

"I know you've had it rough, but stealing it isn't going to make it any better. Your mother's dead and that's hard for you." He emphasized "No, you don't get it. There's someone trying to kill me and in order for me to not get my ass killed, I need to give him 100 dollars!" Daniel elaborated "Alright Daniel, let's go with your case, for argument's sake. Who is this person?" He asked, but Daniel remained silent, afraid of the consequences that could come if he were to snitch on Rodrick "No, Daniel, this is not how it works. I'm out here listening to your case when I don't even have to, you know? Make this a little easy for me, would you? And, slightly easier for you too." He explained.

Daniel was confused as to what he should do. He didn't want to get on Rodrick's bad side, potentially. On the other hand, if he were to tell the truth, he could very well earn the police's help. And there was the fact that Daniel was slightly impressed with the police's work when it came to finding him out.

However, Daniel was afraid and he took the decision accordingly to his feelings, instead of opting for the rational choice.

"Please lock me up. Look, I confess, I was the one who stole money from all those people! There! I said it, now lock me up!" He pleaded, shaking his cuff's shackles around like crazy "Daniel." He said "Daniel, Daniel... I'm not going to lock you up. I don't think you're thinking straight, so, I'm going to give you another chance here." The policeman decided to let Daniel go free "No, listen, there's this guy who will kill me! He already borderline killed me yesterday! Just take a look at my fucking face, will you?!" Daniel shouted.

The policeman took a sharp look at Daniel's face but that was something he already had seen the moment he walked into this room.

"Again, who?" The policeman asked, tired of Daniel's continuous ignorance "...Just lock me up..." Daniel implored, tearing up "I committed a crime, so..." He reasoned "Unfortunately for you, Daniel, not everyone has free right to be locked up. I'll give you a chance at redemption here. Don't make me regret it. File us a complaint about this and we will look into your case." He declared, not allowing Daniel any further attempts "Here is your key, it was the only thing you brought along, so, go on." He said to Daniel "...That's not all of my belongings..." Daniel argued.

For a moment, the policeman didn't understand what Daniel was implying, but after a little while, it clicked.

"Get out, Daniel." He started to raise his voice "I don't want to see you here again." He left the room and two policemen were forced to escort him outside, against Daniel's will.

Daniel thought about committing a crime just for him to get locked up, but couldn't muster the strength to do so.

After a massive failure, Daniel wound up to his apartment, tired and frustrated due to his lack of positive results.

Not only was Daniel back to square zero, but he now had a history with the police, as he gained notoriety for this uncouth act, so Daniel had to think, and while on his bed, Daniel realized.

"Oh fuck... Today was the day...! The plan was to get the 100 dollars and go to school, hoping he would leave me alone." Daniel grabbed his frontal hairs with his right hand fingers "Shit, I can't even go to school, what now... Wait, no, what's he gonna do if I just don't show up?" Daniel pondered.

But that option came with a price of not being able to go to school. Plus, Daniel needed to fix his financial situation as soon as possible. And so, he finally decided to abandon his pride and gave his father a call.

Before doing so, Daniel thought of what to say, but his sense of urgency spoke louder as he pressed the dial number without a second thought.

The call was immediately taken but not by his father.

"The number you've tried to dial has permanetenly blocked yo-----" That was all Daniel needed to hear before completely throwing his phone into the wall, causing a hole to rupture within "Are you fucking serious?! Seriously?! Your son needs you and you can't even confront him?! What the fuck, man!" He spoke with a loud tenacious anger, tearing up, unable to control his emotions well.

After that, Daniel would succumb to depression which would not be entirely short-lived, lasting about a week and a half. Just like that, December had already reached its other half.

One day, on his bed, Daniel extended his hand high up to the unreachable ceiling and said:

"Alright, let's just get a job, fuck it." He finally came to his senses.

There was a slight problem, despite the sudden clear motivation to try and earn some money, Daniel didn't have a 12th grade certificate, which would heavily influence his chances of getting a job.

Daniel didn't care what exactly he had to do, but he needed money to pay his rent as he didn't want to test the landlord lady's patience because if she would call the police, then it would be bad news for Daniel since he now has a history with the police.

Also, Daniel would often think about committing a crime just to get arrested, but Daniel realized that he could just keep on running and so, everything would be fine.

----------------------------------------

The cold sun winter rose to full height on December 15th's morning. However, the fresh wind proved to be penetrating to most, so many would already start to wear their respective warm clothes. There were, of course, some anomalies to this; as there were more important things that would happen on that day.

On the outskirts of their headquarters, twice per month, each leader of the minor squads would meet up with their respective leader. Every meeting would be brief as the point was to collect all the receiving money from each squad leader.

"Rodrick, you're 100 dollars short." The main leader pointed it out, as he fiddled with each dollar note in each pack wrapped around elastic bands "...There's been an issue..." Rodrick cowered due to his failure "Rodrick, I don't care about the excuses or what you have to say. You do know what happens if a squad can't meet up their monthly quota, don't you?" He reminded Rodrick, who was receiving mocking gazes from the other squad leaders "But Diego---" Rodrick, who spoke out of line, received immediate wind gust blast which sent him back at least 20 meters, causing him to hit a brick wall "ARGH!" He echoed in pain on the freezing ground.

Not only was he blown away from a massive distance, Rodrick also had no clue "what" exactly hit him. He lay on the ground and only after three seconds was he able to get up, as the members of his squad watched him growl in fear.

"Watch your mouth." A cold feminine voice interferes from afar, from the right side of the main leader "Rodrick." The main leader spoke once again "As usual, you have until the month ends, but by then, you will also have to give back the double of the quota that you've just missed. I'm merciful, but he is not." He pointed out "I-I won't fail you...." Rodrick, motivated to not fail due to the possible consequences, left the scene quickly with his crew saying: "Come on, guys, we got money to collect, LET'S GO!!"

On their way out of the perimeter, a member of Rodrick's squad decided to question the obvious.

"Dude, what's the plan?! We're so fucking screwed if we d---" This opinion was not tolerated as Rodrick immediately shouted back "Shut up! There's no plan, it's goddamn simple! We track that fucker Daniel and beat him to death! We torture him into telling us where his house is and we assault it!" Rodrick elaborates on his plan despite telling that there was no such plan "But how do we catch the bastard though? We've been unsuccessful so far..." Another member of his squad points out, leaving Rodrick in deep thought.

As of now, December 15th, Rodrick's entire squad which is consisted of 5 people, (6 if Rodrick is included), have failed to make any progress in regards to finding Daniel Lead. After all, they didn't have a lead to begin with. Rodrick expected Daniel to show up after that entire beatdown, so he became furious as to how Daniel essentially failed to comply.

However, the question remained, how would Rodrick be able to track Daniel Lead?

A smirk rose on Rodrick's face suddenly.

"I hate to stay in debt, but it really can't fucking be helped!" Rodrick started to dial a certain number "Hey, oi, oiiiii! You can't be serious, not that bitch again!" A member of his squad started to panic "We almost went bankrupt! She asks way too much! Don't do it, man!" He further argued as the other members reminded themselves of what had happened prior "Shut the fuck up! This is serious shit! No sacrifice no victory, you know what I'm saying?!" Rodrick further defended his point.

It would only be a second after that, that the other side would pick up.

"Hey! I'm doubling the usual, so get me this guy for me. His name? It's-----"

----------------------------------------

"Daniel Lead... What the hell happened?" The policeman who Daniel had became acquainted with this December asked the question "If you're not going to give me money, then please spare the pity..." Said Daniel, extremely dispirited "Goddamn, what a mess you are. This should get you something to eat at least." He gives ten dollars to his two collected dirty hands out of extreme pity "T-Thank you so much, sir! But, please give me some more!" Daniel insists, but the policeman started to walk away as he knew that there would be no end to it if he didn't.

Daniel looked at the money he had just received, then put together the money he had previously received over the past few days and came to the realization that it didn't even reach 20 dollars, it was almost 15 instead.

"How the hell did this happen to me... This is the worst month of my life..." He talked to himself in an vastly negative manner, as tears started to rain from the corners of his eyes all the way through his dirty face.

He remembered fully well what had happened.

On the day after Daniel was released from the police station, his landlord lady had announced that he could not keep Daniel in any longer.

"Huh? Why not?" He asked, confused, due to their previous agreement "The police informed me what had happened and I can't keep a criminal like you any longer here..." She said, affirming that the police had stopped by and had told her about Daniel's stealing spree "But I don't have anywhere else to go! You can't do this to me! You even said so! Come on, I'll get the money soon, I really will!" He implored but the landlord lady told things from her perspective "I understand what you're going through but if the others hear about this, then they will..." She implied.

What she was telling Daniel was basic enough for him to understand: since Daniel wasn't the only one around the block (the place Daniel lives is actually a block full of apartments that the landlord lady holds in her possession), it would greatly affect the landlord lady if the other residents were to know that they were living closeby to a criminal like Daniel.

However, Daniel was displeased so he threw a tantrum.

"But I'm not even a criminal though! That's the messed up part!" He argued "...Young man, don't make me call the police, please... For your sake..." She threatened to call the police on-spot, further making things complicated for Daniel "Oh God... Oh God, please no..." He got on his knees "Don't do this to me, please... That's so harsh, I will have to live on the streets... At least give me some money so I can live fine for a while... I beg of you!" He pleaded continuously, unaware of his pitiful attitude.

Out of pity, the landlord lady took out her wallet and handed Daniel a 50 dollar note, to which Daniel immediately snatched away.

"This is so much! Do you have more you can give me?! Please, you have to! I really like you!" He begged in such a quick-like manner that the landlord lady started to reach out her phone "Woah, woah, woah!! Geez, alright, gosh!" Daniel realized what was about to happen "At least let me pack my things, geez...!" He complained.

Daniel made a backpack with the things that he thought he would need, but it was mainly things that he could use to sell things out to the public in order to earn some money. He was also extremely concerned about Rodrick and so, he went to a place where he thought he wouldn't be found out. Instead of going to the train station near the store he always goes to, Rodrick's biggest clue to finding Daniel, he went 10 stations far from that one and made a stand there.

He also wasn't successful in getting a job as his criminal record would immediately show up every time; completely screwing up his chances. Also, in less than five days, Daniel wasted his 50 dollars on cigarette packs and Monsters. He became optimistic that he could easily win money just from selling the variety of things that he had brought along.

That illusion was strongly shattered over time as he witnessed how no one was even interested in the stuff that he was selling. There was also the factor that Daniel didn't put a price tag on the things that he was selling so anyone that would be interested would have to ask Daniel the price. But that alone also proved to be counterproductive as each time they would ask, Daniel would overprice the things he was selling.

"......" Daniel's stomach began to growl and he was overly conscious about the fact that he only had 10 dollars to work with.

His stand wasn't selling anything and he hadn't taken a bath in five days.

He wanted to go to school but he actually couldn't due to Rodrick. He wanted to sleep all the time, but couldn't because he would have to watch his stand. Plus, the daytime noise made sleeping literally impossible for him. He also had to keep an open-eye for Rodrick, as if he saw Daniel, he would have to immediately abandon everything and run.

Daniel's life hit rock-bottom and he only truly realized that when he had to take a shit.

Never so fast in his life did he start searching for a cafe nearby and thankfully, he found one. He adjusted his dirty black hair and tried to look nice for a change.

Thankfully, no one questioned him and he went to the public bathroom successfully and managed to perform his necessities there, but more importantly, he was able to use the marvelous toilet paper. Daniel stole all the toilet paper from the man's toilet and when no one was watching, he went to the woman's bathroom and stole all of it too; stuffing both roles inside of his jacket's pockets, ultimately compressing them so it didn't look obvious that he was carrying something suspicious there.

He additionally ordered a coffee in order to not look entirely suspicious to that end.

But Daniel forgot something very crucial. While it was magnificent what he just achieved, he really, forgot something beyond essential.

"Oh fuck." He realized and began to run with almost no form; only speed.

Torrential rain slowly but surely began to pour, to further add insult to injury; and as Daniel progressed forward, his hands became numb from the bullet raindrops and their penetrating coldness.

As he reached the scene, his worst nightmare became true.

All of the things in his stand were nowhere to be seen. Just in the interval in-between his departure from his stand and arrival to the nearest by cafe, which took around 5 minutes, his entire arsenal was nowhere to be found.

Daniel, in distray and despair, looked around but found no one there. His breathing began to grow heavier by the second as he didn't know what to do. On one hand he was happy that he had maintained his money with him and that he had two rolls of toilet paper. But on the other side, his future money that he thought he was going to eventually receive was not in sight as his stand was utterly empty.

"M-Motherfuckers...!!" Daniel clentched his fists in anger "I swear to God I'm gonna murder whoever did this!" He swore, but didn't know exactly where to begin with.

He went all the way to his right and since it was borderline night by now, he started to ask people around in the streets if he had seen someone with his belongings going around, the responses being negative every time. Then he went the opposite way but the result was all the same. There was also the fact that almost little to no one was around the streets due to the pouring rain.

At the end of everything, Daniel just had to accept the fact that his things were stolen from him, despite feeling like he was mistreated.

He went back to the same spot where he was in because he knew that he might catch a glimpse of the person who did this, but nothing was there for him. He stood there, trying to see if someone met up with his suspicious quota, but alas, nothing.

That night, Daniel for the very first time of his life felt the thundering horror of sleeping outside of a sheltered environment as he felt victim to the merciless rain.

Daniel had not eaten anything in a day and what he had previously eaten was a bunch of fruits that he had stolen from a fruit stand on a fruit store. But the owner of that store became so suspicious of him that he started to double-check on his fruits every now and then, so he didn't want to take the risk.

Nonetheless, he had to eat something, or he, would completely endure starvation and die in the process.

He decided to try and sleep on the ground but the experience was terrible every time. The car noises, the people's voices, his audition became extremely clear as he was able to hear even the tiniest of things. Every time someone would scream, Daniel wanted to kill that person.

In the end, Daniel bashed his head into the wall and knocked himself out temporarily. This would become a move that Daniel would slowly but surely contemplate.

However. this wasn't very effective but was effective enough as Daniel woke up next morning rather fastly due to the amount of noise coming from the entire train station itself.

Trains were immensely loud but the combination of the people's voices alongside their simultaneous steps as they marched forward quickly became pandemonium for Daniel.

His routine then began once again. But this time around, he had nothing to sell.

He had to resort to begging and at the end of the day, he had gotten two dollars.

In total, he had 11 dollars now, and he had to start investing in food or else he would die. But at the same time, he had to be economic about it, though his situation caused him to be less and less rational.

"........." Daniel looked at the starry beautiful night sky as he thanked the absence of rain.

His hunger grew and another day came.

Finally, he decided to invest on some food and he tried to be as economical as possible. He bought four apples. He believe that he would eat one apple a day and that it would work out.

He ended up eating four apples in a row and his hunger didn't exactly decrease, which made him worried since he had to waste 2 dollars on four apples.

"I think I want to die." He said out loud with his back against the wall "I mean, what the hell is this? Begging and begging and somehow hoping my life will get better when it won't? I just won't eat from now on." He made that decision.

And so, he wasted his remaining money on things he liked. Cigarretes and Monsters, until he had absolutely zero money. He even bought a fancy lighter.

He also gave up on begging, he had accepted the fact that he wanted to wither away peacefully.

On the edge of the train station, right at the exit of the station from the right side, Daniel once more starred at the beautiful night sky as he smoked and drinked at the same time. It was at times like these where Daniel felt a strange sense of happiness. Although he felt alone he felt accomplished because he was doing something he liked.

He gave up on caring about whether or not a time would come when it would be better to sleep and he bashed his forehead against the wall, not one time, but four times until he felt his brain black and purple, and went to sleep.

The next morning came and his hunger became more apparent to him as he hadn't eaten anything in a day. But then again, he was planning on not eating anything ever again.

He smoked and drinked instead of begging.

"The pictures match, don't they?" Daniel thought he was hearing things on his own, so he paid no mind to those words, instead he looked at the bright sun at the middle of the cerulean sky above with his legs fully extended forward "Hey, are you Daniel Lead?" Daniel once again thought he was hearing things on his own, so he just took a deep sip of his favorite Monster "Dude, I am talking to youuuuu." The voice said, in a sour yet annoyed manner, and the person behind it grabbed the Monster on Daniel's hand which contained a very weak grip behind it.

Now forced to look for his Monster, Daniel's attention shifted to the Monster can which was on someone's possession.

"Finally, I got your attention!" She exclaimed out loud as soon as Daniel's tired eyesight aligned with her's.

What Daniel found in front of him was a girl of small height, although not too small. Her posture was crooked because she was standing on her knees in front of Daniel with a picture in her fair-skin right hand. She possessed gorgeous long blue hair with reverse hair dispersing itself to each side's ends on the frontal side. Her eyes contained a zealous curious green color to them as they expressed her eccentric attitude accurately. She was also wearing a black and white feminine school uniform consisting of a white shirt and a black skirt alongside black boots and white stockings.

Unlike Daniel, her appearance was well-taken care of, as her hair shined with radiance along with the sun's brilliance. Furthermore, her seemingly light purple lips were extremely alluring to look at, as her dark make up completed her face quite well. On her right ear, she had a compilation of piercings including even an industrial, but most noticeably a yin-yang earring.

"Let me ask you again, are you Daniel Lead or not?" She asked, switching her eyes back and fort from the picture on her right hand and Daniel's face "..........I..... I'm William Evans..." Daniel spoke, with no strength "No, I don't think so, you are Daniel Lead." She refuted and Daniel opened his eyes wider now "Wait, huh? Who are you?" He asked and also snatched his Monster back "That doesn't matter." She said "No, it totally does, how the hell does a stranger even know my name?! I've never seen you in my whole life..." He spoke the truth.

It started to sound incredibly weird and unrealistic to Daniel how a person who he had never seen out of nowhere came to meet him, asked him his real name, knew where he was located, and most importantly, has a picture of him, to which Daniel caught a glimpse of.

"Ah, okay, that confirms it, thank you, thank you. Here, have your half-decent picture as a reward." She hands it to Daniel and he sees that it's his picture that he took before applying to school; in addition, she started to fiddle with her phone "How the hell do you have this...?" Daniel gets up albeit quite weakly, revealing he hasn't had anything to eat in days "...Huh? Ah well, alright, done." She simply says as she stuffs her phone inside her skirt's pocket while erupting her posture back up and as well as not answering the question at all "Hey, answer me! How do you have this and how do you know my name?!" Daniel insists.

The girl looked at Daniel incredibly puzzled. She was indecisive about something and it took her two seconds to make her decision.

"You know, I don't have anything against you, at all." She said "Huh?" Daniel was bewildered by how she was not answering his questions at all "So, I'll give you like a candy to make up for it. This way you'll feel less bad when it happens, uh, I don't really know their methods, so yeah...." She explained, very awkwardly, as she searched deep into her pockets, completely tilting them and potentially allowing something from it to fall down.

Which was the case.

"Ah!" The girl exclaimed in an overpreoccupied manner once she saw what hit the ground.

Truth to be told, this would be the second day Daniel had not eaten something and even though he had told himself that he would not eat anymore, just the thought of getting a candy made his stomach growl like no tomorrow as well as droll all over his mouth. Daniel was so hungry that he would not question anything that he could eat at that point; he had no control over his acts and his instincts were purely on the top right here and now.

So, Daniel took a glimpse of what had fallen to the ground and it was a black brain with the same size as an apple, if not a little larger. Without second thought, Daniel reached to it faster than the girl and...

"Wait! WAIT! DON'T-----" The girl tried to reach out to Daniel's hand, but Daniel, without warning, ate the black brain "Huh?" Daniel spoke out loud as soon as he ate it.

Daniel was confused by two things right now. The first one being, he finally realized what exactly he had just grabbed and taken into his mouth. The second one being...

"How come I didn't have to chew anything or it? I didn't even feel like it went down my throat, what the hell?" Daniel simultaneously asked the girl, who was in a very nervous mental state "What's the deal here....? This is the first time I've ate something and I don't even feel it inside me. Not even in my tongue... That's so odd!" He continued to be surprised and the girl took not one, but three steps away from Daniel, mildly terrified "Also, what the fuck did I just ate anyways? It looked like a brain or something like that---" He further analyzed as he took one step closer to the girl "I'm SO screwed, oh noooooooooooo...!!" She agonized.

Daniel could not understand any of the situation, so he just stood there in silence observing the girl instead.

With her knees down, she started to mumble to herself.

"If he finds out, I'm screwed and..." She looked towards Daniel worried, but stopped being worried a second after "Wait, what?" She asked out loud with no clear target to this question "Huh?" Daniel really couldn't make any sense of the situation "Now that's weird... Oh.. Wait, that's gotta be it. That would explain it!" She slams her right fist into her left palm, frustrating Daniel "Start explaining, damn it! Fucking hell!" He complains but the girl simply shrugs it off and decides to give some words before making her exit "Don't sweat it and most importantly, as I promised, well, I didn't but still, here you go!" She gives him a coca-cola Chup-Chups and flees the scene happily jumping around from one square to another.

Daniel attempted to take another step, but the starvation made him collapse from exhaustion, and so, he fell asleep once again in the middle of his outpost, not completely in the middle of the street but almost near it.

----------------------------------------

The girl would attend school now, as the time was about 8 am. Once she got to school, she would go to her locker, after talking to her friends, to get her bag and then head to class.

Like always, classes progressed smoothly. She took a seat most to the left in the front row and paid attention to classes and what the teacher would teach. She would, although, sometimes, get bored and look out of the window.

"Ikkiri! Wanna hang out after school?!" One of her friends approached her immediately after the morning classes were done alongside many others "Karaoke on me!" A male friend proposed happily to Ikkiri, but she politely declined "Ahhh, I wish I could go! I really want to! But I have to be somewhere this afternoon!" She explains her predicament "Aw...." Her friends were disappointed but understood that she couldn't go "Butttttt, I will tomorrow, if you guys are up to it!" She proposes to them and they wave in joy "Yeah!" An agreement comes from one of them "Absolutely, let's go for it tomorrow then!" Yet another sound agreement "Ready to show off your singing skills, Ikkiri?!" They begin to tease her and further continue the conversation despite the mutuality.

After the conversation ended, the girl waltzed out of class and went down to the first floor of her block, ultimately getting out of it. She travelled to the north-east of her school all the way to block where all the students who were repetitive-year students were in.

Such a fragile and beautiful presence like hers didn't fit the atmosphere of the place; classrooms with broken windows and a major solar absence alongside large clouds of smoke spread all over.

Her steps became louder as the silence began to create due to the sudden erasure of the chattering.

Without speaking a word, she went to the podium, and while doing so, a male individual out of his own will placed a chair in the middle of the podium in which she took a seat in.

Eyes were all on her.

"What? Don't just stand there, you know what to do, don't you? Fuck's sake." She complained, urging them to act.

With a grand total of 20 boys and 6 girls present, each around 18-17 years old, the 16 year old girl ordered them. One by one, they both dropped their respective semi-monthly quotas.

Dozens of dollars wrapped in elastic bands in each packs were handed to her. She made sure that there wasn't anyone that missed the respective quota, and if there were, she would call them out on that.

"Wait, Rachel." She pointed at a girl in the lower ranks in terms of seats without looking at her, still relatively busy counting the quotas, who was quite nervous ".............Um...." She reluctantly hesitates to say more "Um?" Ikkiri coldly pressures Rachel, now looking at her in the eye from afar with her legs crossed "......P-Please... let me..." Rachel couldn't finish her words and started to tremble which irritated Ikkiri "Speak louder, I can't hear you..." Ikkiri insists one more time ".........Next month... I-I will get more money this Christmas! So, please!" Rachel pleads, confirming she doesn't have the sufficient money to suffice.

Ikkiri stopped looking at Rachel who was on the verge of tears and instead counts just how much money she was missing.

"Rachel, you're missing 250 dollars here. I can't let this slide." Ikkiri decimates her verbally "Please no." She begs once again, now crying "Nope. You're done for." Ikkiri ultimately denies Rachel once more, stuffs the money into her school pack, and says her final words "Remember to take turns, boys. Don't rush in just because your cherry hasn't been popped." With her leave, Ikkiri's decision leaves Rachel in chaos and turbulence as multiple boys immediately group on her violently.

Her next stop would be the central block of the school, usually where teachers are. That white block with 10 floors contains an elevator right at the center, which was Ikkiri's target all along.

Patiently, at the lower level, she waits. Three teachers also wait, just like her. In the meantime, Ikkiri always shows a grand smile and engages in conversations with the teachers, as she is easily one of their favorites. A highly sociable girl who is focused on her studies; showing immense promise in her future.

After a minute and a half, the elevator opened up and about twelve teachers and a couple of students started to leave. Ikkiri managed to attract a lot of attention just by openly smiling and by making transient eye-contact with everyone she comes across. Ikkiri clicked on the highest floor possible-the tenth-and followed through with it until the end.

Then, after everyone had left, she would give the excuse that she forgot something and needed to go back; thus she would click on the button that functions to close the elevator door.

Subsequently and very rapidly, she would press the elevator's button that goes to the 10th floor five times each within the timespan on two seconds.

Once that happened, the elevator began to drastically increase in speed unlike before as it went completely underground, even below floor zero. Unlike the elevator's usual speed when going up and down on the known floors, the speed of this elevator's engine increases over time, but is incredibly time-consuming as it took Ikkiri ten minutes to get to her desired floor.

At last, the elevator's door opened, and a red carpet with golden edges extended for over twenty metters; the walls covered with invisible glass through which anyone could see the abysmally profound underground and the seemingly endless hole below it as well as the extent of the elevator from below to the top.

"Did he ever tell you why he made each floor SO far away from each other?! I swear it's a decade of light years in-between!" Ikkiri complained immediately "That's pretty little, Ikkiri." The voice from afar argued back "You get the point." Ikkiri shrugs and takes a seat at the vastly rectangle-shaped black table on the left side all the way to the right.

The room was highly illuminated and decorated with bookshelves with a variety of books, but each organized in its respective categories and not a single book was out of order. The main figure of the room, since there is only one other person outside of Ikkiri, encounters himself in the end of the rectangular table, on his seat in the front. His figure consisting of a serious focused expression supported by his borderline-pale skin alongside his dirty blonde curtain hair. Furthermore, although not overly builky, his form was visibly good even through his immensely well-kept black and white male uniform.

As of now, he is writing something with his glasses.

"There was one who was short on money. 250 to be completely exact." Ikkiri informed "I see. What was the procedure you used?" He asks, still not looking directly to Ikkiri, cultiminating his full focus on what he was writing "Procedure 39, if I recall correctly. I didn't like how she looked at me, she made me feel annoyed." Ikkiri commented on the more subjective side "Procedure 39 is fine, there should be no problem. So, it's another thing then?" He took a wild guess.

By now, as he dictated that the issue that Ikkiri had to talk was relatively more serious, he put a red marker on the page that he was writing, closed the book, put the writing pen inside his blazer's right pocket, and then took off his reading glasses, ultimately focusing on Ikkiri now.

"Erm... You... can keep secrets, right...?" Ikkiri said, in a nervous manner, leaving him with questions "It's better if you just tell me what happened." He proposed "Okay, so, Vlad---" He interrupted her "Sagasugarov." He simply remarked "I--- Okay, so, Sagasugarov, I act---" He interrupted her once again "Simply 'Sagasuga' will do." He corrected her once again "Make up your mind, damn it!" She got mad at Sagasuga but nonetheless continued "Argh, dang it... Where was I... Ah yeah. I accidentally lost possession of one of the brains..." She spoke, but in a very reluctant manner, perhaps fearing his reaction.

Sagasuga thought for a while, got up from his seat, went to the fourth bookshelf from right side of the room's entrance and scourged to the second lower rank grabbing the 11th book. Then, he went to a certain page of the book, put on his reading glasses and started to read while speaking.

"Ikkiri... I don't even need to tell you the obvious here, right?" Sagasuga said, with a rather exasperated tone as he kept reading "No, wait. There's more to it!" She pleaded "Oh? Go on then." He allowed "This random guy straight up ate the black brain, can you believe it?!" She told the truth "So much for 'accidental', also, how did that happen?" He further instigated "It fell on the ground accidentally and this hobo just ate it like it was a hot sausage or something! I'm serious!" Ikkiri explained but Sagasuga seemed unconvinced "He did want that one specifically for his collection. Getting another one won't be easy. You're in luck though..." Sagasuga claimed.

As he further read the book, he enlightened Ikkiri onto something.

"Amarphamaniacortex is its name." He told Ikkiri "...Yeah, I'm not spelling that." She remained stubborn "There are plenty of compatible Maniacortexes and only a few incompatible Maniacortexes. Amarphamaniacortex just happens to be 99% incompatible." Sagasuga finishes and eases up on Ikkiri's worries "Okayyyy, then there are no worries. Because there was no visible manifestation at the time he ate it! That means the transmigration failed, so that's a plus." Ikkiri reassures of herself "Nothing really happened then?" Sagasuga confirms one more time "Nope, nothing. He was actually complaining that he couldn't taste the brain! That means it couldn't have passed through, right?!" Ikkiri asked once more.

However, this put Sagasuga into deep thought as he pondered a few ideas and one particular possibility.

He closed the book, put it onto its respective place, turned his attention to Ikkiri and simply asked:

"What's his name?" Sagasuga asks Ikkiri "Daniel Lead, he even confirmed it. He's a nobody, I've looked through his records; he recently stole from countless homeless people accordingly and he's also homeless." Ikkiri adds "Ikkiri, but why do you know all of this?" Sagasuga asks as he sees no reason for Ikkiri to know this much information.

Ikkiri pondered on whether or not to tell the truth, but concluded that Sagasuga would know the truth regardless, so she told the truth.

"I used it on him." Ikkiri tells that causing Sagasuga to sigh in disappointment and to adjust his glasses at the same time "It's MY line of business! I've got to contribute to the cause, don't I?!" Ikkiri further argues "I never said you didn't have to, but didn't he specifically told you to not use it unless it's something that contributes to the cause?" Sagasuga points out "I fail to see how this isn't something entirely for your own benefit here, especially when you allowed the black brain to fall into the hands of a nobody..." Sagasuga this time pierces Ikkiri with a dangerous eye-gaze, letting Ikkiri eat her own words.

Despite all of that, Sagasuga offered some consultation to the nervous Ikkiri who feared what Sagasuga might do to injure her position.

"Your power is useful, that's why I'm going to give you a chance here." Sagasuga prepares his proposal as he takes a seat on his previous seat once more "Bring me Daniel Lead; I will extract it." He declares "Wait, huh? ...You can do that?" Ikkiri's curiosity took over "It's something important to him, so I won't tolerate this lack of progress. And as for you..." Sagasuga eyes Ikkiri once again, telling her to fix her pesky attitude "...I'm sorry... Can I use Diego to my aid?" Ikkiri lastly asked.

And Sagasuga gave his final words as well.

"Do as you see fit."

----------------------------------------

After collapsing from starvation, later on that night, as the rain fell harder than ever to the cold ground, Daniel continued to sleep soundly, despite being drenched. He was asleep, but very much awake in another sense. Daniel began to experience something which could be labeled as a lucid experience.

Thunder struck; causing all windows to tremble nearby, including those from stores.

On another side, still relatively far away from the place where Daniel currently is, Rodrick and his members meet up with their respective acquaintance, who is none other than Ikkiri, a girl who Daniel had became acquainted with a couple of hours ago. The place for this meeting is in an underground parking spot; at the request of Ikkiri.

Unlike what one might think, it was not Rodrick or his impatient-looking crew that was late to this meeting, but instead, it was Ikkiri, who arrived at the place through a white limousine. This was nothing unusual to Rodrick or their crew, but as soon as the other person volunteered to open Ikkiri's door after getting out of the limousine first through the second rank, they immediately bowed down and paid the deepest of possible respects.

"SIR!" They greeted their boss as Ikkiri simultaneously got out as well along with another girl "There's been an issue at hand that requires a great deal of urgency, to say the least." Their leader said to them, as he approached them.

Their leader, otherwise known as Diego, possessed a smaller height than Rodrick, but only for about 5 less centimeters, and short blonde hair as well. No matter what, he always wore a black and yellow fisherman's hat with a reverse continuous triangle pattern spread all over it. Furthermore, he wore a black shirt alongside light-brown leather pants and black medium-sized boots. His skin, unlike most people present, wasn't fair, but slightly tanner.

"This is about Daniel Lead, I've already told you were to find him, but there's been a change here." Ikkiri tells them "...What change?!" Rodrick gets mad at the thought of his plans being altered and lashed out towards Ikkiri "He is to be captured alive. I know you had plans to beat the crap out of him and whatnot, but that's not what's going to happen anymore. Simply bring him to me, that's all." Ikkiri ordered "You heard her. The fuck are you still here for?" Diego coldly tells Rodrick and his crew to put in quick work, and without much option and based from what Rodrick knows about Daniel due to what Ikkiri told him a few hours ago, he darted off to that specific location.

Entering the torrential rain, Rodrick and his squad members moved out in collective symphony as they embarked on their specific goal.

"Diego, do keep an eye on them if things go wrong, will you?" Ikkiri asked in a rather arrogant tone "There's no need for that, Rodrick's already feeling the pressure. He still owes me 100, senõrita." Diego assured Ikkiri "Please, just make sure nothing goes wrong. I'm in a lot of trouble if this goes wrong for some reason." Ikkiri, once again, insisted "...Alright, you are higher, after all." Diego toggled off his hat towards Ikkiri to show respect to her "Glad you got the message!" Ikkiri happily says as she enters the limousine; completely leaving Diego and the other girl all alone with him.

Although Diego and the other person came alongside Ikkiri, it was Ikkiri who was the main subject of movement for the limousine, not Diego and co. Therefore, they were on their own now.

"You don't need to show so much respect to that bitch..." She argues to Diego, who engolfes the tip of his cigar to the edge of his lips "A hierarchy is to be respect, you know?" She lights up his cigar with her lighter "Gracias." He said as he lit up her cigar with his lighter this time "De nada." She finalizes.

Diego then proceeded to activate his red umbrella with a black butterfly as its pattern, which gave the two of them a nice solid place for closure as well as sheltering. Furthermore, they started to leave the place, going all the way to the exit ahead of the underground parking lot.

Once there, they noticed the torrential rain pour down so incredibly fast that the scenery felt absolutely white from the continuation of raindrops.

"I'll call a Uber, no worries." She took the initiative "Hm." Diego simply added that.

Diego's eyes were captured onto something. The girl's figure wore the exact same outfit as Ikkiri, since they go to the same school. Her skin wasn't as fair as Ikkiri's, but not as tan as Diego's either; a mix in-between would be an accurate description; relatively fair nonetheless. She was practically the same height as Diego, but only a bit taller. Her hair was split evenly, long-length; colored in very light blonde.

Her other assets such as bust, hips, and waist measurements outdid Ikkiri's by a long shot; however her constant sour attitude didn't make her a target to be easily likeable.

However, this wasn't captured Diego's attention midst the never-ending rain; it was a bombardment of a sound that erupted from the sky. Diego offered the entire umbrella to her as he watched what seemed to be something close to a meteor penetrate the thundering clouds at an immensely rapid pace.

"What the..." She notices this immediately as well and becomes alarmed "That's no bueno, I'm guessing..." Diego expressed worry as a landing sound completely destroyed the sound of the raindrops for a split second "I'm going to need you to do me a favor, Alice." Diego speaks looking at her and she immediately deactivated the umbrella allowing her to also be a victim of the rain "Go for it..." She accepts it.

Diego then proceeded to reach out to his right pocket, took out a syringe, applied a liquid substance with the syringe's needle to a bottle with such said substance, drained a minimal dose and stabbed Alice's neck mercilessly with it.

"Ahhh!!" She quickly got on her knees as she lost strength for a second, but then her eyes lit up a powerful yellow light; conjuring an aura surrounding them.

She got up slowly, looked at the thundering clouds; extended her soaked right hand in the direction of a specific thunder cloud and once the lightning struck, she turned her overly extended hand into a fist. Subsequently, an even bigger yellow aura began to surround her entire body.

"Is this enough or do you need more?" Alice asks with an incredibly energetic smile while jumping from up to down at the mach 7 speed "That should do it. I'll be back soon with the body." Diego declares as he hugs Alice and by doing so, all the yellow aura in Alice's possession no longer was visible in her and instead was all transferred to Diego.

Afterwards, Alice would collapse on the ground helpless against the rain as Diego would run at mach 7 speed towards the location that he had in mind.

In less than a second, Diego arrived at the location, now with the yellow aura resonating all over him.

He took out another cigar, lit it up and smoked all of it in less than a milisecond.

This time, slowly, without the unnecessarily brutal mach 7 speed, Diego looked around the location and found only seven people in it; himself included. Outside of that, no other person was present, naturally.

But still, on that lonely train station, inside the entrance where the ticket machines are alongside its benches, Diego was slightly speechless as the scenario at hand was hard to take in to say the least. Little by little he advanced; passing through their bodies, one by one.

"..." Diego noticed a similarity with all the bodies "Not only is one of my squads completely wiped out but..." He kneels down to see Rodrick's face up close as he sees the vast empty space on the top of his head "Sus cerebros se han ido..." He added as he moved on from Rodrick.

Now, Diego was looking at exactly what he wished he had an idea of what he could tell, but in reality, it was a complete mystery to him. A throne towering over 5 meters in height and about 1 meter of width, containing an open mouth with human elements like tooths and a tongue. The pitch black colored eye cavities were all connected by multiple pulsing black veins which ultimately led to the enormous brain on top of the throne.

However, the main element was Daniel on the very center of the throne with his throat sliced horizontally; gushing blood down like a waterfall to everything below--as his unmoving body and dead eyes collect the picture of his dead actuality.

But most importantly, once Diego infiltrated the entrance of the throne through its small frontal ladder, he noticed that the box on the top of the throne; where the gigantic brain is contained started to fill with a red liquid slowly.

"What the... hell....?!" Suddenly feeling incredibly weak, Diego backed off from the throne's entrance and dispersed at least 10 meters back.

Not only did he feel like his vision became blurry, but he felt immense quick blood loss. Diego took a look at his hands and noticed that his skin was getting pale, but this didn't continue.

The box also stopped being filled with a red liquid and in that time, Daniel's eyes slowly opened up---for a transient time----he and Diego exchanged gazes but Daniel began to be eaten by the mouth behind him from the throne; completely devouring him.

In sequence as well, the throne began to dismantle itself and slowly but surely turn to ashes.
