Chapter 1

An ocean of foreign memories hit like a relentless torrent of fire that burned in Peter's brain making him scream out in pain as his mind and the mind of a completely different person try to connect and merge together. The sudden splitting headache would disappear as quickly as it came, marking the completion of the merge of two different minds.

And yet, Peter's mind was still in complete chaos as he tried to understand exactily what was happening.

He screamed, "What? Where am I?"

Taking another quick glance around him as his mind try process the dead bodies of goblins scattered everywhere in the forest clearing.

He muttered, "How am I alive?"

As the most recent memories of former owner, of the body that he currently own, flash by once more.

Peter's only thought at the time, 'Did I die fighting these goblins!???'

He lifts up his ripped up, bloody shirt, hoping that it wasn't as bad as it seems, only to see old black bruises and small training scars all over his body with brand new cuts and scratches, some still bleeding into his shirt.

Peter took a deep breath as his confusion slowly rose to newer heights with his newly found feeling of the pain and stress in both his mind and al over his body.

'Holy shit, I don't want to bleed out and die again'

He scaned his new collection of memories for anything that could help and quickly found out that he was living in a nearby village that was currently being attacked by goblins, but the village did have a single healer that could help. Standing up the best he could, taking the busted up sword and shield with him, and running toward the village following the trail of dead goblins as fast as he could to get some help.

As he ran through the forest, Peter came to understand his situation better. He knew that the damaged body that he currently own, is named Sky Blake and that the boy was barely 12 years of age. He also understood that a good amount of dumb goblins had sneaked into the small village, somehow pasting all of the guards that was too busy defending the village in a massive goblin attack.

The village leader had received information from a trusted source that said that a lot of goblins was coming from the east and we trusted him. So the village leader gathered up all of the women and children the day before attack into a large barn house near the west of the village, putting only a few of the newer guards to guard the house in the worst case scenario, while almost all of the trained militia was stationed on the west end of the village.

Thinking back on all of this from an outsider's presective, Peter can see that it was obvious that this was a death trap for all of the women and children of the village, because there was no way a few dozens of goblins had sneaked past all of those guards. The few guards stationed near the barn house had tried their best and they did kill quite a lot of goblins, but they didn't manage to kill all of them.

And in that moment when the last guard fell to the hands of the goblins, Sky knew that he had an obligation as the only person that was trained to fight in the barn house, but didn't get to fight because he was way too young, and as the last defence for his mom, friends, and neighboors he knew that he had to do something.

So he ran out of the barn house taking up his dull sword and shield for training and making as much noise as possible to get the remaining goblins's attention and to get them to follow him. Sky's memories were very bury after that as Sky ran as far as he could killing as many goblins as he could along the way, until he could no longer run. The memories ended there.

Peter didn't realize at the time, but his body was much, much more developed than it should be for a 12 year old because he had fought the other half of goblins that had killed 3 guards double his age.

As he went through more memories of this foreign body, he learned about the mysterious existence of magic and that pretty much everyone in this world have at least some of it, all except him apparently.

Following that thought, he came to know his parents: that his caring mom in this world was called Azuli Blake and while he can't really remember his dad's name since his mother wouldn't mention him at all, he does know that his dadwas a noble and a mage of some high status had abandon him and his mother all because he didn't have any talent for magic at all.

Something about the names and circumstances of him and him mother seemed familiar, almost as if as he had seen it from somewhere before.

But before the thought could go anywhere, pain and fatigue stuck his body once more as Peter had to slowed down from a brisk jog to a brisk walk to reduce the pain in his legs.

He muttered to himself, "This still doesn't make any sense, how am I'm in a different body in a completely different world?"

Peter kept walking until he finally stepped out of the forest, only for carnage to meet his eyes.
