"poor young girl, she's all alone now."
It has been a week since Rin's father passed away. Her mother died when she was a kid due to an illness, and she was raised by her father alone. He always made efforts to make her happy and never made her feel the absence of a mother.
"What's she gonna do? They are so poor….she won't make it."
"Shouldn't we adopt her?"
"you will regret it…she is very ill-mannered...She didn't even cry during the funeral!"
"What a weird kid…."
"Yeah, I also heard she punched a guy during a sword fight competition."
"What? That's outrageous!"
"That's what! Better stay away from her. Wherever she goes, she only brings trouble."
Rin was used to such comments. It never bothered her.
She believed, "It's useless to care about people's words and opinions who aren't going to help you".
Things didn't change much after her father died. Every day, the sun would rise and the moon lit the night sky, but somehow it felt empty. Every morning she would pick up flowers from her garden and eat breakfast with her father. The other half of the day she would spend thinking about the future. Her father didn't leave much money with her.

Rin was born in a small village, and her family was poor. They lived with little money and could barely make ends meet. Her father then decided to move to a city for a better life.
They reached the central city at night. They didn't have any place to stay or a clear future. Rin was just a baby back then.
It was getting cold. Rin's mother and father knocked on many doors to let them stay for the night; it was in vain.
After walking for hours, Rin started crying. She got a fever.
Her father panicked and looked around for any warm place. He spotted an old wooden house a few feet away. This time he decided to use threat & force to allow them to stay.
He took out a vegetable knife and stood in front of the door. He then kicked the door hard, and it opened with a bang.
He barged in and yelled, "Nobody move".
