So this has been something. Somehow I was reborn with my previous life's memories after dying. I'm not sure my death accomplished anything, but I can hope the others managed to rush the murderous attackers. I suppose I will never know. At least I tried.
I hope my previous life's family can get past their mourning, move on, and have fulfilling lives. I will always have thoughts of them; though somehow i managed to move past the memories and pain. My developing mind allowing me to recognize. Now I have a new life and I need to live it.
I had thought being a baby again would be terrible. No way to control myself, or my condition. But honestly it hasn't been that bad. Sleeping a lot. being with my mother and often father. Eating felt a bit awkward but I suppose I'll get over it. And there are so many interesting things to see and learn! My parents have been wonderfully caring. Constantly talking to me in their flowing song like language. I have been focusing on that. Working on associating their words with meaning. My mind absorbing the basics of language like a sponge. Among the first words i learned are those of my parents Amelia and Tanniv. And mine, Ayla.
In the past year my world has been limited to our house and garden. Our house is similar to a large wood cabin from my past word. Constructed with large logs stripped of their bark. The logs were cut carefully to be joined together at the edges. The bottoms of the logs hollowed out to meet the top of the next log, any small gaps filled in with a reddish clay. I can't assume much not knowing the species of tree but these trees must be old growth. Half a meter thick with a tight grain structure. Within the house a number of rooms have been constructed. Timber and planks from the same trees being assembled into solid thick walls. I'm not sure i have discovered all the rooms yet but I have seen my parents room, my room, the kitchen/living room with fireplace often blazing, bathroom, and even the cellar. The cellar was carved into the dirt and rock below, covered by a small trap door in the kitchen. My mother has carried me down there a few times to retrieve stored food stuffs. From what I could see of it, strapped to my mother back, it was well stocked. Shelfs lined with containers of pickled vegetables, dried meat and miscellaneous food stuffs. Clearly my parents had our food supply well and secured.
Our bathroom surprised me in various ways. Clearly not modern but well thought out and constructed. A wooden toilet had been installed. Instead of a bowl and piping it has a hole connected to a channel of flowing water contained by tightly fitted clay tiles. Clearly a benefit of the nearby stream, though ingeniously constructed. My god am I relieved that it isn't a spider infested pit of filth like the outhouses I had used in my old life. There is a wooden tub matched with a hand pump for water. This allows us to bathe comfortably, though the water can be a little cold, especially in the winter. During those months my parents would fill the tub hours before we intended to use it, allowing the water to warm to room temperature. The final piece of furniture was one that has allowed me to discover myself. A sheet of polished copper set into a craved wooden frame. In in my mother held me, smiling as she watched me paw at our reflections. Cubby and fair skinned. My lengthening hair bright, golden, and silky. I was surprised by my eyes. I expected them to be deep blue like my mothers. Instead they were Azure, the portions near the outside of the iris the violet of my father's, shifting with the light. Pleased with my reflection I laughed, my mother smiling and joining in the laughter.

Beyond caring for me, my mothers domain is clearly our garden. It is here I discovered something amazing about my mother and my new world. My mother has magic! I watched from her back as glowing green light surrounded her hands and the vegetables she tended to. The vegetables affected by the green light glowing visibly, their leaves expanding, roots deepening, while any wilting portions recovered. I may have gasped, my mother turning to me to me and booping me on the nose. I'm not amazed mother! I swear that is beneath me!

After recovering from the birth of my daughter my life has regained a new normal. My daughter is so sweet. Throughout my life I heard tales from my mother and father of what a terror I and my brothers had been as babies. Clearly they were grossly exaggerated or my Alya is a wonderful exception. No long nights of random screaming. She only cries for attention when hungry or needing changing. Her eyes are so bright, often following mine and my husbands movements. Recently she has been trying speak. babbling out various sounds trying to imitate our words. Hopefully soon I can hear her call me mama. I often couldn't help but rub my face against hers. I was uncertain of marrying my husband and setting out for a new life in a new settlement, but seeing my daughter grow, and our home continue to progress, clearly this has been the right choice.
In the past year I have had so many precious moments. My developing relationship with my husband. Being pregnant, and him caring carefully for me. My Daughters birth. Tending her and watching her grow. Her eyes are so bright, resembling a combination of my fathers and husbands. Clearly curious for the world around her. How I wish my father could see my little joy. I can only imagine how proud he would be and how he would spoil her. I will have to convince my mother to move here. I'm sure my brother's would be happy to have the house in Mellhill. Once she sees Alya it shouldn't be hard.
I placed her into the harness on my back near my right shoulder and took her with me to my garden for the first time. Caring for the crops as I usually do I accessed my magic. Using my nature attunement I guided vitality into the plants.
I heard a surprised mewl in my right ear. Looking back to my daughter her eyes were so wide and her mouth hanging open. Stopping for a moment I tapped her nose. Enjoying seeing your mother's magic my little one? Closing her mouth she puffed up her cheeks turning away. Amazed at her clearly understanding reaction I stroked her fluffy hair telling her how cute and smart she is. Wow just over one and she couldn't be honest. So cute, but I will need to watch this development.
