Chapter 1 - Tea Time with God

Chapter 1 - Tea Time with God

"I can't believe this is true." I said while sipping on my tea cup. The quality of tea was simply god-class. The fragrance itself is enough to enchant people.

Seated before me, on a golden throne, was an old man with long white hair, wearing satin robes. A golden book was held in his hands, radiating an ancient and divine aura. He looked like Dumbledore from Harry Potter. He was looking at me without touching his teacup .His eyes were deep and gave a profound feeling as if he knew everything in the universe. This old man was God.

"So what did you decide to do young man." he said, "I said I could give you a long life of luxury, make you the sole prince of a huge empire."

Listening to him I sighed. My name is Dan Stryker, an ordinary high schooler who gets ordinary grades and loves novels and games. I turned sixteen last month. But I just had to die after falling under a bus to save a little girl. Turns out the little girl I saved was a divine soul or something, hence putting me in my current situation.

Turns out I wasn’t supposed to die. I fell prey to some stupid conspiracy meant for the little girl . As an apology, God himself is giving me the chance to have a second life in world what seemed like an RPG world. But....

"Can’t you make me immortal?" I asked.

As I expected God shook his head."That's against heavenly law. For a mortal to become an immortal, he should find his own path."

"Ok. I'll find it then send me there quickly." No one wants to decline another chance at life.

"It's not possible, you becoming immortal, that is" he sighed

"Why not!" I screamed.

"Because I am taking charge of your life, ensuring you have a long and comfortable one. But I'll take it away after a hundred years. That's the most you can live. But if you are really persistent about seeking immortality, I can help you by sending you there. But you are on your own after that." said God, looking concerned.

This is crazy.... I just died. I don't want to die again, even if it’s after a hundred years.

Support the author by searching for the original publication of this novel.

"Send me there. I'll be able to look after myself." I said after pondering a bit.

God looked at me, with a serious expression on his face.”Are you sure?”

“Yes, I am.” I said determinedly.

"Let me warn you, you could be sent to a forest, or end up on a demons lap. If you really insist, I won't stop you."

Dan's expression changed, he sighed and said, "You can send me to a settlement right?"

"Yes, but that'll increase the overall difficulty of your survival"

"Don't care"

“Youth is really a wonderful thing, isn’t it?” God sighed.

What are you sighing for? You’re a God, for God’s sake..

“Alright, I will grant you three abilities, so that you do not fall behind the rest of them. After all you have a sixteen-year gap to cover”

“I can choose anything?” I said, looking hopeful.

“You can, as long as it is within my power, you can have it.” God nodded.

"Make me the strongest person"

"Can't"

"Make me the richest then"

"Can't"

"Well, then make others obey whatever I say"

"Can't"

I was going crazy.

"Are you really the God, old man? Can you even do anything?"

God frowned as he heard those words. I'm a God. But I'm not the only one. There are rules I must follow. Here this will help you decide."

“Think carefully, you’re future depends on this” saying so God handed me a short manual 'Heavenly rules and restrictions for reincarnation'

I took a deep breath.

'What do I need? God told me that the world I would be sent to was a magical world. It had all kinds of races and people there had to rely on skills and abilities, they also had classes. It completely seemed like a game to me. But God looked at me with a weird expression when I said that. I read the manual and kept thinking for what seemed to be an hour. God sat there patiently with his eyes closed.

“I’ve decided.” I said.” I want an ability to learn and progress  any quickly in any skill with no restrictions.” I declared.

“That can be done. That counts as two wishes. What’s your last wish?” he asked, curious.

"Well, that's-" Dan said with a sly smile on his face.

God's brows were furrowed. He had a bad feeling.

"I want that book in your hand." Dan said, still smiling.

God was shocked. He tried to hide the ancient looking book.

"Give"

"No, ask for something!"

"I want that book, give it to me. It's just a book."

"Indeed, it's just a book. I have Divine weapons. I'll give you one of them."

God was speaking hurriedly, Dan thought he was panicking.

"I want this one. You said ' anything in my power' so this counts, right? Anyways God won't go back on his words, will you?" Dan smiled innocently.

To God this expression couldn't be more demonic. He was conflicted.

" Fine,I have it back after he dies anyway." God thought.

"Take it". God tossed the book to Dan. Then he flicked his fingers and Dan's body was slowly being dispersed.

"Alrighty, wish me luck!" Dan said.

Then the whole world went dark as he lost conciousness.
