Starting the day off again

"Yawn~"

Fang Yun stretched and tiredly walked outside to the well with his toothbrush and a towel. He began brushing his teeth while crouching. His disheveled hair making him look like a mad man.

As he looks around bored, no one was in sight. He shook his head a little.

Cultivators shouldn't focus so much on their cultivation! They're locked inside their rooms practically ignoring their hygiene.

Fang Yun's mind started wandering as he thought how a saint of a sect would smell.

I'm sure they have spells to clean themselves up...

Gargle~ SPit.

He spat out the water and washed his face. After cleaning up he went back to his room leisurely walking. It wasn't as if the world was going to be destroyed tomorrow either way. Plus, haste makes waste.

Sometimes you just got to enjoy life. I bet all those cultivators don't even bother viewing the world around them because they fly too fast.

He dropped his things off in his room and and walked out his door. A clean and eloquent middle aged man stood waiting in front of him politely.

"Master Li?"

"Fang Yun, going to the library again?"

This was Master Li, a outer sect elder that everyone respected. He even helped some students to become inner disciples.

Fang Yun looked at the books at his hands.

"The library is my favorite place after all, would you like me to drop those books off? I'm going there either way."

"Actually, I brought these books for you. It's part of my personal collection and I thought they'd be helpful for you."

Fang Yun felt touched and thanked him. Trying to be polite or refusing here would be a waste of Master Li's efforts as well.

"Thank you then."

"Hahaha, as long as they can help you! If you don't understand anything, you can find me at my place."

Then Master Li disappeared.

Fang Yun looked down at the books titles.

"Ghost Movement technique, Flash Teleportation, and...Purity mantra."

Fang Yun shrugged. As long as they were helpful he wouldn't mind learning them. Either way, he cultivated for a long and peaceful life.

From a young age, he was always into books. Something about them just clicked inside his mind and allowed himself to feel better.

For some reason, he felt that the books in this sect were having a positive effect on his body as well.

...

....

......

As he got closer and closer to the library, he noticed a crowd of people. Not wanting to budge in closer to the event, he asked a fellow disciple.

"Is something going on? Why is there so many people in the library all of a sudden?"

"Ah, some random kid is trying to take Huang Lei's book." He shook his head. "This kid might not make it out alive for angering him."

"Oh~" Fang Yun nodded his head in understanding.

Huang Lei was the 3rd young master of the Huang Family. His personality can be extremely overbearing and due to the fact that compared to his other brothers he's a outer disciple irritates himself even more.

"New disciple? Did they come from this years recruitment?"

"Hm, should be? Haven't seen him around here before."

Fang Yun nods and walks away.

None of my business either way.

He walks over to a book and sat down to read it. Fang Yun stared at the book as if he was in his own world. Every page he flipped through felt like long minutes as he would only turn the page once he understood the whole passage.

By the time he had finished reading this one book. It was night time and everyone had already dissipated.

Sect disciples didn't have to pay to enter the library or take the books out. Those are reserved for the higher levels of the library which need special permission.

As he also walks out the door, the library clerk smiles and laughs.

"What are you? A scholar or a Cultivator? Hahaha! Others would cultivated till dawn, but you would read a single book till dawn, HooHooHooo!"

Fang Yun had grown accustomed to this clerk. He was weird–with a even stranger laugh–a little tad rude, but overall was a nice person.

"Sigh~ you know how it is. If I can't understand a book, I won't be able to sleep!"

"You even have time to sleep? Impressive, impressive! Hoo Hoo hoo!" The clerk breathed in and out hard trying to stop crying over laughing at him.

Finally calming down, "Young man, if you want to stay here you have to do more than just read books! You have to practice, refine, and use those skills you've learned. From what I see, your stage hasn't progressed at all in this month. At this rate, will you qualify the monthly test?"

"Fail or not, I can read books here till then right?"

"Sigh~ You really are stupid! I think all those books have broken your head instead of teaching you something!"

"Eih~ Don't worry, I'm not scared to fail the test, why should you? As long as I have books to read, I'm willing to."

"You brat, why are you so carefree!?" He looks at him strangely and leaned closer while whispering. "Are you hiding something?"

"...Of course."

"Is it a artifact that can hide your realm!?"

"No."

"It has to be a treasure that can help you reach across realms!"

Fang Yun shook his head.

"Then....What is it?!"

"Its.."

"Yes!? What is it, tell me and I won't tell anyone!" His eyes lit with excitement. His curiosity about to explode. He lived for information and other knowledge!

Fang Yun leaned closer and also whispered.

"...because I'm a reincarnation of a Emperor realm cultivator who used a sword formation to travel to this era."

"....."

"...I know its hard to believe...but I...Pff..." Fang Yun couldn't keep it up anymore and started bursting out laughing.

"You should have seen the look on your face! Hahaha!"

"You little brat!"

"Aiyah~ Can't handle a little joke?!

"Get out before I kick your ass out of here!" With a swift kick to the bum, Fang Yun flew out of the doors head first.

"Why...warn me and also kick me!?"

Fang Yun dusted himself off and also smiled.

"I don't have anything extraordinary about me. It's better that way."

He stretched his arms as he walks towards his room.
