As I walked towards the gates of Bluefire Private high school past all the blooming flowers of spring it was almost time to start my new high school life as a second-year I walked past the teacher at the front gate in my grey hoodie and proceeded towards the principles office.

After arriving at the principles office I was surprised to see two students with bruises on both of there faces it seems there had been a fight between these two idiots.

The Principles name is Jerimiah he is very tall has a wide build and he usually has a very serious expression at all times he is always fair towards his students and very protective of them but to tell you the truth I don't by it, not for a second he has powerful abilities and just like everyone else who has power in this world they are controlled by the Authorities. 

After Jerimiah finished scolding those two idiots I was told to come into his office to receive my schedule for the semester.

Almost immediately after receiving my schedule, I proceeded to leave his office but just before I made it out Jerimiah called out to me and told me to take a seat I was very unwilling cause I wanted to avoid as much contact with this filth as possible but if I left it would draw even more attention so I sat down in the chair a few feet away from the principle.

We kinda just sat there and stared at each other for what felt like an eternity it was especially awkward he finally broke eye contact with me and told me if I needed anything I could ask him I rolled my eyes and said sure I asked if he needed anything else and that if he didn't I was going to go to class otherwise id be late for first period.

After leaving Jerimiah's office I reminded myself to avoid as much contact with him as possible.

I proceeded to walk in the direction of my new classroom I momentarily paused along the way cause I saw a kid with curly green hair flying through the halls I think I heard someone call him Jack? He seemed to have some interesting powers I thought to myself that his powers surely revolved around the wind element but moments later I was confused because he seemed to have disappeared my first thought was invisibility but I quickly figured out that it was teleportation that enabled him to instantly disappear.

Normally everyone only awakens one power but in some very rare cases throughout history, some especially powerful individuals were born with multiple powers but they are all usually killed due to authorities deeming them to power to control.

After arriving at my classroom the teacher Mr.Newman made me introduce myself to the class I quickly told them that my name was Simon and continued to find an inconspicuous spot in the corner to sit I had a few people come up to me to try and make small talk but I knew they were all fake and didn't want to waste my time on trash so I told them to fuck off.

They looked at me kind of shocked that I had said that to them but they didn't speak to me again which is what I was hoping for.

 I was so bored during the first period that I had decided to take a nap which the teacher wasn't too impressed about but I didn't give a shit just like my old school they are all garbage teachers and students alike.

During lunch, I was sitting by myself just trying to make as less contact with people than necessary because everyone that gets close to me always ends up injured or killed, I was minding my own business going up to the roof because it is always quiet and has the least people I sat down to drink my juice box when suddenly the curly green-haired kid teleported in front of me and scared the absolute shit out of me I ended spraying my juice box all over him.

He asked if I was alright and that he was sorry for scaring me like that I just looked at him coldly and walked away I heard him say whats his problem under his breath. 

After walking away from the annoying kid named Jack I started walking around the school trying to get familiar with it but ended up coming across a brawl between the same two idiots I had previously seen at the principles office.

Both of them were yelling and being loud from what I made out from there conversation Rhys the guy with a very immature face and voice ended up throwing a fireball at Joel which he was pretty infuriated about so he retaliated by electrocuting him which has now led to them both just yelling at each other after I facepalmed I ended up just walking away.

I was walking back to class for the last class of the day when I suddenly bumped into something I was pretty confused cause i didn't see anything but turns out it was this girl who was invisible she apologized and left quickly I didn't get to catch her name she had purple hair green eyes and looked absolutely stunning. 

I got back to class just before it started and it was very boring so I looked out the window for most of the class watching a bunch of students using so many different powers but all of them were from the elements Wind, Fire, Water, Earth, and Lightning only a few of the students had the other elements due to them being much rarer such as Life, Light, Darkness and Void the reason these elements are so rare is because they have the power to overthrow society and if the authorities find individuals that have a power that they can't control they will be eliminated instead.

I get snapped out of my daze by the school bell ringing signifying that the day is over so i walk out of the school grounds and start making my way home everyone else lives at the school dorms but I don't want to associate myself with those people after a ten-minute walk home from school I walk into my cold empty house wishing how things could go back to the way they used to be.

Everyone that has power either submits or dies because they didn't submit if only everyone was ordinary...
