Chapter 1: Reincarnation into Naruto world

Chapter 1: Reincarnation into Naruto world

As a 16 years old male teenager, his life can only be described as ordinary.

However, life unexpectedly was cut short from incoming truck approaching him at illegal speed, ignoring the red light and the zebra line.

Crash!

He lost his senses, and felt as if he's floating in a dark silent space.

He's not sure how long has it been. Days, weeks, or months, he can't tell.

But over time he can finally sense things. He felt his skin, the temperature, his body movements, and he felt his body being there.

Months later, he finally sees light after such a long time. He opened his eyes and sees the giant face looking at him.

He was shocked, and from further inspection he realised he was born into a new life? Is this reincarnation?

He looks at his parents. Both of them have black hair and black eyes with Asian looks. His dad is quite handsome, while his mother is really pretty. Her mother's bare face makes her look humble kind of pretty unlike models or celebrities in his previous life. Her mother is the approachable kind of beauty.

The midwife who are observing are concerned seeing Shou however. He slapped Shou's butt out of nowhere startling Shou. The pain makes him scream out.

"Aaaaa!!".

His parents worried face turned to smile hearing the cry. Shou felt humiliated that his butt got slapped. But then, he supposes it's because they worry for him.

Time passes by. His family and the whole village are poor in a sense that they don't have the luxury of entertainment or delicious food and stuff. His parents work as a farmer, tending to whatever vegetables that can grow in this cold land.

This village is snowing all day long as it's situated in higher altitudes but there's also a short time when it's less cold with less snow.

But no one starved as everyone gets by barely. At least fishes are plenty with the nearby river so with effort they still have enough food.

Shou had a cute brother too. His name is Haku and he's 2 years older. His brother is gentle, kind and innocent as a child. Shou had seen crazy children in his past life who often ran around and screams here and there for fun.

But Haku wasn't like that and he is happy to not have to handle a demon child brother.

Time passes by.

His dad, Yoshino Dai and his mother Yoshino Miki often go out to do work. Tending to the farm, fishing, gathering firewood, smoking fishes. His mother helps dad a lot to make income and helps ends meet.

They are sufficient and Shou feels content with what he has really.

Over time Shou learned about the village name and the country name. The country is called the Land of Water as the sea surrounds the country.

He also learned that there are countries like Land of Fire, Land of Lighting and so on...

And he learned that Shinobi exists – and these lands are always ready to war at any time for resources. He heard sighs from his parents about war.

There are people who can use chakra to create elemental effects like spitting fire. Due to internal strive in the country, war happens in this land among themselves and causes many deaths and displacements.

Shinobi with bloodline limits also known as kekkei genkai (abilities that are passed down from genetic inheritance) are favoured as a weapon for such purpose. And it makes normal people fear anyone with kekkei genkai as they brought death and destruction due to their existence.

He also once heard of a 'blood hunt' in the nearby village in a gossip where they found a kekkei genkai user.

Upon learning this, fear struck in his heart. Because he knows the world he was reincarnated into is the Naruto world.

And upon connecting the puzzles of the settings he is born into, this snowy village, his pretty mother, and his brother named Haku, he felt a sense of dread.

No way, right?

One day, when no one was looking he secretly went to a frozen pond nearby and pierce a hole into the thin layer of ice for a water source.

He tried to manipulate it. He felt an energy in him, mobilising at his intent and thoughts. It takes a little mental effort as the energy surrounds the water and moves it, and with another will, he's able to lift a ball of water in the size of a tennis ball within seconds.

I can control water...?

He never tried before so he never knew he could do this.

He's convinced at this point. His brother, Haku is the one who eventually became a companion of Zabuza.

Then, what about me? He doesn't remember Haku had a brother or any other character.

But since he's here, he exists. So there's no point in thinking about it.

He needs to warn brother! He doesn't want his mother or brother to go through hardship. He knows what happens if Haku finds out having a kekkei genkai (bloodline limits) and he wants to prevent the bad things from happening.

Although he does want to be able to learn Ninjutsu, or use Ice release, his family peace is more important than anything. And he does not like war and killing someone is the last thing on his list.

At night, after their parents are asleep, he talks in whispers with Haku.

"Brother. I have something to tell you. I want you to listen properly".

'Eh? Shou. What is it. Why are you whispering'.

"Brother. This is a secret. Mother and father will be very angry if they know about what I am about to tell you".

Haku finally becomes serious.

"What is it...?".

'Brother. You know about Shinobi, and people with kekkei genkai? They are hated everywhere... Mother and father also hate them'.

Haku thought about it and nodded.

"I can control water and make them move".

Haku was shocked and is in disbelief. But he in fact feels really excited

"Really!? Shou please show me!".

'Shussh. Haku... I already told you...'.

Haku is quite confused and seems to forget about what he had said.

'Mother and father would hate me. They... they will kill me if they know'.

Shou had to say it like that, to make Haku know the consequences.

Haku was shocked and felt scared hearing the word kill.

'N-no... Mom and dad won't hate you... I don't hate you...'.

"Haku. This is reality. Everyone around us hates kekkei genkai. It brings death and destruction. So... This is a secret. You must never tell anyone".

'Shou...'.

"Haku. I tell you about this because you too have the same kekkei genkai... You could move water too...".

'I could...?'. Haku was really scared and anxious.

Shou sees this and hugs his brother.

"Mother too, actually. But she keeps it a secret from father and everyone".

Haku digests all of it. The word kill, death, hate and destruction is heavy for a child. But in fact, they understand the gravity.

"It's okay Haku. Just... Keep it hidden. And never show or tell anyone except me. Can you promise me?".

Haku nods out of anxiety.

"Alright. Brother, let's sleep now".

...

The next day comes. His mother went to wash the clothes and dry them. Shou and Haku went to help as well.

As afternoon came, she went to prepare dinner.

"Haku, Shou, can you get more firewood?". She screamed out from the kitchen.

They both fetch some firewood already cut by his father.

While her mother is busy, Shou goes with Haku to play outside.

After looking around and making sure no one was around, Shou went to the nearby frozen pond.

"Haku... Keep this a secret alright? Watch this".

Shou uses the energy in him, chakra, to move the water. He felt it's quite mysterious as he feels it's natural, as if he can do this at ease. He remembers there are very few ninjas that can manipulate elements without hand signs.

The kazekages (leader of Sunagakure, a Shinobi village) like Gaara can control sand particles without hand signs. While Senju Hashirama can control wood. Shou's and Haku's kekkei genkai of the Yuki clan allows them to control body of water and ice without hand signs like them.

With his will and intention, he turned the blob of water into ice in seconds but it becomes difficult to hold it in air and so it drops into the water right after.

Haku was excited seeing it as a child would.

Shou keeps looking around in vigilance in case someone comes.

"Brother, remember, keep it a secret".

Haku nods.

"You can try too. Just... Try?". He is not sure how to explain it. It's like he can spend some mental energy and his inner energy to move the water.

Haku tried it. And within a few seconds, he too managed to move water.

"Shou look! I can do it too!".

Shou nods at it with a smile. Sure enough, Haku too is able to do this.

Haku too tried to freeze it and he could do it in seconds as well.

Shou notes that Haku is considered a genius ninja in the show Naruto. And Shou thinks he's probably as talented as his brother given the speed and ease he control the water.

He remembers in Naruto that Haku is only a year or two older than Naruto, and so his own age should be about the same as Naruto at this time.

He contemplates as much information he can remember about Haku.

His strength after being trained as Shinobi by Zabuza reached Elite Jonin level, even to a point Zabuza himself said that Haku can defeat Kakashi who held the title Kakashi of the Sharingan – the copy ninja.

At that point Haku already surpassed Zabuza and Kakashi at such a young age.

And what's more, Haku can even use one handed hand signs to cast a jutsu - even Kakashi was surprised since he never sees anyone do that at that point.

The only reason Haku, his brother, die is that he's too kind. He is defeated only because he never intends to kill Naruto or Sasuke. He was only trying to make them back down. Haku could have instant kill them easily with a single strike after using demonic mirror secret technique but she doesn't.

And he ends up sacrificing himself to save Zabuza, the one he pledges his life for.

Shou can't accept his brother's ending like this. As for becoming Shinobi, he cares more to maintain their family peace. He doesn't think he is as kind as his brother, but he wants to stay away from bloodshed as far away as possible like it's plague.

So, days passed by peacefully. At times Shou and Haku did go out to play with water and make ice spikes or shapes. Shou even tried to make an ice castle but he can't since it requires too much chakra control and precision.

They did this in secret of course. Shou decides to make an igloo as a secret base for them both to hide things from their parents.

Although Shou never intends to become a Shinobi but it's just fun to manipulate water and ice. Haku too liked to play around. Shou still had a wish and daydream about using crazy jutsus, making an ice golem like Hashirama wood golems and something like that. That would be so cool… but he can only daydream. Being a shinobi in reality is not a good thing.

However he does remember that the world should be at peace once Naruto grow up, when all the shinobi villages united against common enemy, and when Kaguya is defeated eventually.

Maybe… maybe after everything is over, after peace is somewhat established after, he could embark the path of shinobi casually. Thinking about it that way, it doesn’t seem that long. And by that time his age shouldn’t even be 20 yet. So he is still young enough to play with ninjutsu then.

He gains solace thinking positively that way.

When Shou and Haku tried to practice making an ice castle, inadvertently, they practiced their chakra control and nature transformation at the same time.

Over the year they become so proficient in it and able to make beautiful detailed castle

"Shou let's add a prince!". Haku makes a prince of Ice to accompany the Snow Princess.

"Let's add dragons too!".

Shou makes a western dragon of ice. Haku was confused though.

"Shou, what's a dragon?".

Shou tried to remember if there's a dragon in the Naruto world... Maybe there isn't.

Huh. Wait... There is. Genryu from this one Naruto game. He remembers it because the game is tedious and bad in his opinion.

If he remembers correctly there's 5 dragons representing the 5 elements and a light dragon that comes from the fusion of it. And the villain intended to destroy the world by becoming a jinchuriki of the light dragon...

Putting that aside, he went to explain what a dragon is. A huge flying creature with lizard head and bat-like wings. Although Haku also doesn't know what a bat looks like so he can't imagine it either way.

They went on to make a play, how the princess is kidnapped by the dragon.

"The dragon turned into a handsome human, surprising the princess". Shou narrated.

Gasp! The princess was shooked.

"Princess of the human, you are my prisoner! Humans have hunted my kins, and drive them to extinction. I will have my revenge!".

"Oh, dragon lord - sama~ vengeance will never end in a good way". Haku joined in acting as the kidnapped princess.

Eventually the dragon forgave humanity and marry the ice princess. They have 10 children while the prince somehow stops existing and is a plot hole that was never mentioned.

"Haku! Shou! Come help!". Their mother's yelling interrupts their play.

Their mothers voice comes from outside the igloo. They quickly dismantled the beautiful ice castle instantly. Although Haku felt sad that their effort went to waste but as reinforced by his little brother, he needs to keep it a secret no matter what.

Days go by peacefully...

However, Shou would never expect he can't escape from fate.

On the fateful day, father was returning home after he went to get firewood from the nearby forest.

But a wild white bear found him and chased after him. Dad ran fast, throwing all the firewood away to reduce the weight.

Mother, Haku and Shou were outside to hang wet clothes and were shocked to see Dai running.

"Dai!". Mother run fast towards father wanting to save him.

"No!". Dai screamed out. He does not want his wife to come to him.

The bear eventually caught up to father and slashed his claws.

Splish!

Blood spurts out of his back.

Dai fell down into the snow from the impact.

"Miki... Run! Hide!". Dai shouted to his wife who was running at him. The bear is about to slash at Dai again.

"Dai!!!".

Miki was running in tears. She doesn't want to watch her husband die.

Haku and Shou stood in shock seeing the scene.

Shou is shaking and his body and mind was frozen seeing the huge bear. Even in his past life he was just a teenager who never seems a huge bear about to maw someone. The scene is too scary for him.

However, suddenly Haku rushed forward to their parents.

"Haku!". Shou had to follow him as well, forcing his body to move. His mind starts to turn its gear, he can use ice spikes to injure the bear be thought.

But... the consequences…

Before the bear can kill Dai, she waves her hand as an ice spike from the ground stabs the paw stopping it!

"Y-you!". Dai was shocked and in disbelief seeing the scene.

The bear gets angry and launches an attack again. To protect his husband, she made an ice wall but it shattered quickly upon impact and she was sent flying a few metres away.

"Miki!". Dai screamed seeing her wife receiving injury. He cried in tears for various reasons. He felt aggrieved. His wife is a cursed person... She hid it from him all this time. He felt betrayed by the person he loved. But he can't bear to see her hurt like this either.

While he thought he was finished as the bear screamed in anger, Haku suddenly came forward.

"Father!".

Large ice spikes explode from the ground killing the bear instantly.

Blood drips out from the bear body, eventually staining Dai red under the snow.

Dai loses all thoughts at this moment...

Not his son too...

His mind went blank seeing the people he was close too are actually monsters in disguise.

Miki, seeing his son using the power like her cause her to shed tears. No...

Dai sluggishly stood up and went back to his house.

He does not look at his wife or his sons at all and just goes to wash up.

Shou is anxious over the events. He felt dread all over him. He went to pull Haku with him to see mother.

They sat together in the living room while father was washing up.

Mother is crying by herself. Shou is not sure what to do. But he knows what will happen.

"Mother... Let's run away. Quickly...".

Miki is startled and had to look at his second son. She felt fear and doubt.

"Shou...".

To think... His son is too mature that he...

She felt heartbroken.

"Mother... I too can do it...". Since it already reached this point, he should just say it. Miki only shed more tears hearing it.

"I am sorry... I am sorry Haku, Shou. It's my fault".

For her, it's only her to blame as she pretends to be a normal person and wants a normal life. This is the consequences of her actions. She decides to build a family and now her child carries her blood. Her children are cursed like her...

"Mother... Let's run...". Shou said with tears in his eyes. Haku however only felt stressed and hug mother. He doesn't understand why Shou asked them to run away.

'But...'.

Miki thought about it.

Her husband... After years of living together as a family, she loved her husband very much.

Surely...

'Shao... Father, maybe he can accept us...'.

"Mom...".

Shou thought about it... He's not sure. But he wants to believe father can accept them. They are a family after all, and, they had been together all this time.

"I will talk to Dai later. It's okay Shou, Haku. It will be fine...". She said that more to console herself.

Miki went to see her husband in their room. But she realised he's not here anymore.

Huh? Where did his husband go?

Suddenly the house door was knocked down forcefully with screams of angry crowd outside.

Shou was startled and didn't expect it to develop this fast. No... They have to escape now. He also felt really angry at his father. How could he do this to mother... Doesn’t he love her at all?

The angry mobs barged in with weapons in hand.

Shou sees his father at the front. He had a wooden stick in his hand, crying.

"Shou... Are you, too...?".

His father is visibly shaking while asking.

Before Shou could answer, Miki had already stood in front of Haku and Shou to protect them.

"Dai... Please, don't hurt them. They are our child... It's my fault... I am sorry Dai...".

Dai was shaking in anger and grief.

"No!". Shou screamed out to mother.

Dai swung the wood stick.

Thud!

Haku and Shou see his father kill her mother in front of their very eyes.

Shou was beyond shocked. His body froze seeing the bloody cold murder by his own father. Why...? He doesn't understand how his father, who he too had loved as his own father can kill mother just like that.

Haku too was shocked and traumatised seeing the scene.

Both of the siblings were pushed back against the walls as the crowd come closer and closer.

Shou gritted his teeth in grief.

Father...

He stood in front of Haku with a will to protect.

He uses his chakra and mould ice to lock the feet of the crowd. Ice grows from the ground and grabbed the feet of the thugs.

And then launched a big ice spike to destroy the wooden wall behind him.

"Haku, run!".

Haku was stunned seeing his little brother doing this.

"Run! Haku! Go!".

Shou turned to see the crowd was angry and in fear.

"Monsters!". "Kill them!". "Don't let them escape!".

The mobs use their weapons in hand to smash the ice under their feet.

Shao doesn't have enough chakra to maintain the ice. He reinforces it one last time and turned around.

"Haku! Quick! Run!".

Shou quickly pulled Haku's hand to run through the wall opening.

Suddenly...

Thud!

A large stone hit Shou's head from his back. One of the angry mobs has thrown it and managed to hit him.

Shou fell to the floor, bleeding from his head.

"Run... Brother...". He said his last word to Haku. Damn it. Why his brother is standing there... Please run...

Haku was once again traumatised seeing his little brother hurt after his mother died in front of his eyes.

Haku sees his father finally escaped from the ice after seconds and approached him.

Haku watched as he swung the wooden stick to him...

Haku's eyes open wide, feeling fear of death. His emotions fluctuated as his chakra to explode as he finally defends himself.

BOOM!

A huge explosion is caused by the large ice spikes released by Haku. The ice spikes pierces through the roof and walls of the house.

He killed everyone, including his own father. His eyes become entirely dead after killing many people, including his own father. He watched the corpses frozen in ice, some are impaled by spikes, some bloods are frozen, some are dripping and stain the ground red.

He dragged Shou's body with him, until he got too tired and fell into the snow.

After a few minutes, Shou woke up. He sees tens of meters away; their home is destroyed from large spikes of ice destroying everything... Haku must have done it.

Shou shed tears, because he can't stop this. He doesn't understand why it still comes to this. It's so unfair. And to think Haku ends up killing them, it must weight heavily for him. Shou felt like a failure. He had treated Haku like a little brother due to his mental age and he thought their life could remain peaceful.

And even when it comes to this, he still tried to prevent Haku from killing anyone by holding them back.

But he failed. He should have killed them himself instead of letting Haku do it. He failed as a brother.

He wiped his tears and thought about things. He had to be mature and have to keep living after the consequences.

He looks at his ruined home...

The news would surely spread sooner or later. The local lord too would find out in days or weeks.

Shou drag Haku inside a nearby house. It’s empty, probably the owner is among the mobs that tried to kill them.

Shou thinks carefully about what to do next. He should take things with him before he runs away with Haku.

He went back to his home and melt the ice away to search through the house. He saw the dead bodies inside. Seeing the corpses, he threw up on the spot.

Seeing his father and mother, dead, is really painful for him.

Why did their peaceful life end so suddenly? Why is life so cruel to him and his brother?

With tears in his eyes, he scavenged for anything useful from the corpses. Even his eyes have lost the glimmer he had for life.

Mother... He looked at his mother dead body once again. She purposely took the hit from his husband to protect them...

He felt his heart twisted. If only he just went ahead and kill them all... this wouldn't have happened. Haku wouldn't have to bear that action.

He should have killed them...

Hatred for everything, for himself, for his inaction grow in his heart.

His heart is no longer innocent from this moment.

He found some money carried around by the corpses. It's very little though. He decides he will scavenge the empty homes next before running away with Haku. They need to have some money.

As he is done, he had a thought about his mother.

Haku and him are both talented. Haku in the future is so talented he reached Elite Jonin level at such a young age. It's abnormal, and this leads to Shou thinking his mother is probably a part of the main family of the Yuki clan.

It's known the main descendant of a clan always have stronger power and traits. Such as with the Hyuga family, where Neji talent shines as his father, who is a twin to his uncle carries the blood of the main family. There’s also Hinata who is called the Byakugan princess due to her bloodline purity – so much so her eyes can awaken Toneri’s Tenseigan (special eye power).

Thinking along this line, he went to his mother and father's room. Maybe, his mother still kept the techniques of the Yuki clan somewhere when she run away due to war...

He searched every nook and cranny, and used ice to lift the wooden tiles.

He found a flat ground where it's obvious that something is buried underneath.

He quickly dug it up with a hoe from one of the corpses and found a big package wrapped in black cloths.

He opens it and finds 3 scrolls inside that are quite thick. He opens it and reads it.

"This is...".

Reading the techniques name... He doesn't remember Haku using any of it.

As far as he remembers, Haku only used some ice mirrors when fighting Naruto and Sasuke. And that's really the only technique he used and yet he already reached Elite Jonin level with just that and his skills with senbon (needle like weapon).

One of the Ice Release he reads is named Ice Armament. And there's also Frost Breath, Ice Prison, Ice Dragon and so on. And there's many more given the scrolls he found. Perhaps, Haku never thought of finding these.

One of the smaller scrolls caught his intention because its quality seems higher. He opens it quickly and found description of a technique.

"Amanozako...?".

He reads it briefly, something about forming an armor of ice and chakra in the shape of a beast warrior capable of destroying mountain. He would read it later, he thought. He closed the scrolls and tie it back black cloths. The 3 scrolls are small enough to hide inside his robe. At least he can carry them around at all times.

Shou took a deep breath and deepens his resolve. He went to Haku after retrieving important items.

Haku is awake it seems, but his eyes look dead inside.

"Brother...".

Shou hugged Haku tightly. Due to the warm hug, Haku gained a bit of vitality in his eyes. He finally cried out loud after everything that had happened.

"I am still here, brother...". Shou too cried out. Even in his previous life, he never experienced something this traumatic. He wasn't prepared for it at all. He hates that he can't change anything.
