Chapter 1: Magic amplitude test
It was a peaceful morning in a Sleeping Dragon Continent, In a small village hidden between mountains, while everyone was still getting up from sleep, a small child was training outside. That child already looked very tired, yet he still was training hard. Sweat was dripping from his short black hair with every pull-up he made. That child looked around 12-13 years old, yet he actually was only 10 years old. His eyes were pitch black and showed his concentration. After finishing few hundred pull-up the child did not stopped training and begin doing crouches, then push ups, swimming and running. While he was running, a loud sound entered his ears.
"Nate! Don`t train too much, go home and get some rest!"
Nathanael turned his head to the sound source and saw him mother smiling and waving at him. He brushed away the sweat and started to walk toward home.
"Don`t worry mom, I`m training hard, because I want to become the strongest!"
"You should rest well then, don`t forget that today you will have to attend magic awakening ceremony! Without magic, you can`t become strong no matter how much you train your body!"
"I know! I will definitely become the strongest Lighting mage!"
“Naive child. Becoming a Lighting mage required a lot of luck, even if you get lucky enough to have high Lighting affinity, if you don`t have at least medium magic power, you can`t ever become strong!”
Nate quickly ate breakfast that his mom have made for him and dropped on bed in his room. He was very tired from today’s exercises, yet he haven`t dared to fall asleep because magic awakening ceremony was going to begin in a few hours.
Magic was very important in this world. Everyone in this world used magic for everyday tasks and everyone could learn magic, yet everyone was only suitable for one kind of magic, sometimes two, but no more. There were 7 types of magic: Fire, Wind. Earth. Water, Lighting, Darkness and Light. Fire, Wind, Earth and Water were classified as elemental magic and was on average strength, Light magic was the most common magic and was not strong compared to other types, yet it had very strong healing abilities, even capable of regrowing a lost arm. Lighting magic was considered the strongest magic type, yet it was kind of rare. As for darkness magic - not much was known, since it was very rare for humans to possess such magic type, if in every 100 people one could have a Lighting affinity, darkness affinity could only be found in one person from 100000, even now in this world there were only 1000 or so Dark mages.

Almost sleeping Nate said for himself "I will definitely become a Lighting mage!"
A few hours later, Nate rushed to the city’s square for Magic amplitude ceremony. About 100 children have arrived in total and waited impatiently for the ceremony. Finally a few moments later priest from holy church arrived, carrying a magic amplitude testing stone. The ceremony was actually very simple, all children needed to do was to touch a magic stone to see their magic type and then let priest test their magic power. One by one children lined up and ceremony finally begun. First kid in line nervously touched the stone and everyone could see a dim symbol of earth glowing on the magic stone, priest then extended his hand and measured boys magic power " Earth magic affinity: medium, magic power - low" the kid went away and other kid took his place. In the end all children before Nate ended up with elemental magic affinities and light affinities ranging from medium to low, and magic powers were also ranging from medium to low. Finally it was Nathanael`s turn. He touched the stone, expecting Lighting symbol to show up, yet nothing happened. After a few minutes the stone finally shined with a very dim light symbol as if it was hidden in dark clouds. Nate looked at stone dumbfounded, not believing his eyes. After priest tested his magic power and spoke Nate got even more disappointed - "Light magic affinity - very low, magic power - very low". Nate got saddened even more "How could this be! Try it again" priest sighted and tested him again, yet result remained unchanged. All other children got low to medium elemental affinities and low-medium magic power. It was finally last child`s turn. It was Rob - the only child in town Nate did not liked. Rob was a spoiled child from rich family and grew up being arrogant with a liking to bully others. Nate kept staring at him, hoping Rob`s result would be worse than his own 100 times. Yet when Rob laid his hand on magic stone, it shone very brightly shoving the symbol every children wanted to see when they were touching the stone - the symbol of Lighting. Even priest seemed surprised after checking Rob`s magic power. "Lighting magic affinity - High! Magic power - very high" After hearing priest word every children got their jaws dropped. In the end Nate`s result was the worst in the whole town.
