It all started out pretty simple, Alexander Smidt was supposed to keep an eye on the farm for a few weeks as his grandparents were off on a party-ship to somewhere in the middle of america. About 4 weeks in the middle of nowhere germany, in a little farm house, with about 20 sheep. He never quite knew how his grandparents took care of the bills just sheering these few little sheeps but who was he to judge. They helped to pay his university costs for him for helping them once in a while and being away from his parents was a huge plus for him. After a long train ride through the german nothingness he arrived at the quaint little house of his grandparents with his luggage bag in toe, a little thing made out of wood with a tiny little fence surrounding the area. All in all it was pretty much a speck in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully his grandparents left him their car to use while they were gone so he could drive to the nearby city to get the groceries he needed. Alex was knocking at the door, waiting a bit before looking under the doormat as instructed by his grandpa earlier on, grabbed the key “hidden” under it and went inside.
“Granny ? Grandpa ?” He asked loudly, slowly stepping into the lobby of the house. He looked around, going through all the rooms until he found a letter in the kitchen addressed to him. It said:
“Hello Alex~ Sorry we aren’t home while you are arriving here, the transfer towards the boat has been brought forward and it caused our schedule to go all over the place, so we had to go sooner. We will write to you once we are on the boat so Grandpa Lukas can concentrate on driving. Your duties are pretty easy. Keep the house clean, don’t make a mess of things, DO NOT go in the attic as it needs repairs and any pressure on the floorboard of the attic might make it break! We think you’re gonna manage this perfectly. Simply enjoy yourself and all should go well.
Love, Grandma Laura.”
For him it seemed to be an easy week. He went upstairs, towards the guest room, unloaded his clothes into a dusty closet, searching the house for the wifi router before getting his laptop back online.
After checking in on what his internet friends were talking about he went to look for something to eat, going into the kitchen and looking at the pretty empty fridge, calling a delivery service to get himself a nice pizza.
He felt like he missed something, something important that he should have asked about but after getting his food, of course, giving a good tip to the nice delivery girl called Robin, he shook off that feeling, going to sleep as it started to get late.
Alex woke up, his body hurting all over as he slowly got up. It’s as if he had been working out all day for 7 days straight. He shifted the blanket away from his body and thought he didn’t see right. His body was covered in white, soft wool, covering his midriff, some of his legs and his upper arms. But what made him feel even more confused was not the wool, but the feminine body features he had gained. He had grown two breasts, his arms were slimmer, his body hair if you discount wool as body hair was all but gone. Alex didn’t know what had happened to him, he ran scaredly into the bathroom, looking over his body in a mirror. There were two little numbs growing out on the top of his head which felt very hard when he started to touch them but were thankfully hidden behind his thick brown hair, as well as a little tail that was dangling right over his underpants, his body seemed to have shrunken down a bit, which added to his already short size. He sprinted back into his room, grabbing his phone from the table sitting next to his bed, desperately trying to contact his grandparents.
After a while the phone connected to the voicemail, his call for help going unnoticed. In panic he thought about everyone that might help him in this disastrous situation.
Calling his parents was a definite no, he came here mainly for a justified way to escape them, as much as he wanted to turn back to normal he didn’t even want to pay a thought about what they would say to him. The police weren’t an option either; how could they help a boy turned into a cute sheep girl ? What if they thought he was delusional ? There were too many possibilities that they would be the usual bastards they were so that one could go off the list.
The more Alex thought about what happened to him the more he realised that… this wasn’t really too bad. He would be all alone for 4 weeks in the middle of nowhere in germany, in a place nobody knew him, while in a body that might just turn out to be a lot of fun. He put on some clothes that still fit him with his new additions and decided it would be the best to go to the mall to get some food for the next few days. He did consider going into a girls clothing store but it didn’t feel right to him, he looked like a girl, but something made him uncomfortable about the proposition of going into the boutique, something made him feel like he didn't belong there. So it would be shopping over amazon for clothes, which was perfectly fine by him. He glanced once more over himself in the mirror, looked if he had missed anything that could give away that he wasn’t a regular girl. After that he got the keys to his grandparents old beetle and set off to buy some groceries.
It took a solid half an hour until he arrived at a very quaint looking grocery store, with not a lot of people there that could bother him. He parked the car as close to the store as he could, grabbing himself a shopping cart before going inside. The few people that were inside paid no heed to him entering the store, far too busy doing their own thing then to notice anything around them. They gave off this eerie atmosphere that he couldn’t really put into words, but it made him feel very weird. At one point he was sprinting as fast as he could simply to get this trip over as quickly as possible, leaving behind a few things that he didn’t necessarily need just to keep this trip at a minimum. He went to the cashier, paid for everything he needed and booked it straight to the parking lot, he wanted to go home as fast as he could. Alex didn’t think he would get so anxious about going to get groceries but it seems his anxiety to get caught as an imposter was too strong to give him that. He loaded up everything into the little car and drove back home as fast as the little beetle would allow and went on to unload everything, still paranoid that someone would see him.
Alex didn’t know where this sudden spike of paranoia even came from but it caused him a great deal of confusion. There really wasn’t anything to be scared off, he was in a whole new part of the country where no one knew him as Alex, as a cute girl and yet the feeling of being an imposter was able to make him so afraid it was mind boggling. He went inside, having no remaining energy to cook anything today so he called the fast food delivery service to order another Pizza. He waited patiently at the door, hoping he would see the cute delivery girl again and maybe ask if she wanted to talk to him. Not in a romantic way or anything, even if that thought made Alex blush like a red tomato, but because he was pretty lonely and he wanted someone to talk to in this lonely little place.
The doorbell rang and Alex mentally prepared himself to ask out her out, he just had to open the door, pay for the pizza, ask her NICELY and hope she wouldn’t find him a creep. He braced himself and opened the door
“Pizza for Alex?” said Robin, pizza box in on hand.
“Yeah that is me, thank you very much.” Alex said, handing her the cash plus a few bucks tip.
“Wasn’t there a dude named Alex here? I swear I delivered a Pizza here yesterday and he was the one to take it.” she asked, looking a bit confused at Alex.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
“Uhhhh no I am Alex that was just….. A friend of mine. I am Alex.” He stumbled out, not quite sure if the ruse was working.
“Aaaah, alrighty then. Time to hit the road, hope you have a nice day.” she sat down on her little moped, nearly ready to drive away.
“Hey wait! Sorry if this sounds like super duper weird but would you like to go on a date with me, you’re really cute and I’d love to get to know you better.” Said Alex, before realising what had came out of his mouth. He wanted to kick his own ass for saying what he just said but Robin replied by scribbling a number on a piece of paper and handing it to her.
“You get a pass because you seem like a nice gal, but normally that shit does not fly with me. No more flirting while I am at the job alright?”
Alex was unable to do anything but nod as Robin put on her helmet, driving off into the distance. He asked himself what he has just done,.
It was awkward after the conversation with Robin, trying to gulp his pizza down was hard when his mind is telling him that he FUCKED UP HOLY SHIT GIRL WHAT THE SHIT….. It was weird but considering herself as a girl made Alex feel far more happy. She couldn’t really tell why but it made her emotions soar into the skies. But also made her consider her relationship with her body. What will happen after she leaves the farm? Is she gonna lose her feminine body? Would her grandparents even recognize her? Does she even want to return to her old body? The last question made her worry the most, because the answer that she kept coming up with in her head is a resounding No. It made her feel wrong imagining herself in her old, masculine body, everything about it made her want to puke up the pizza she has eaten. Maybe she was always meant to be a girl. Maybe this is a way for the universe to finally repay her after placing her in the body she was born in, and the sheep features were nothing more but the monkey’s paw payment for granting her unknown desire. WAIT THE SHEEP. She hasn’t been thinking of the sheep since she has arrived!
But there weren’t any. Alex has searched every corner of the farm that she could but no sheep was in sight. There was a bit of fence, a old wooden shed with an tractor in out but oddly enough no sheep. Checking her phone for a message by her grandparents revealed nothing, no calls, no texts, no sign of any life. Why did her grandparents call her here in the middle of nowhere to watch over sheep that didn’t exist? She went back inside, dropping another question in a sort of “haha this is totally a joke definitely hahaha” tone asking where the sheep she was supposed to take care of. She had enough, cursing this whole stupid day before going back up the stairs, hitting her face with the cord thing that you use to pull down the attic door and going to her bed. She let her body fall flat down on it, not moving for a solid minute before tucking herself in. And of course she had to dream about counting sheep
The next day started with her finally receiving a message from her grandmother. Alex woke up 3 hours after it was sent, being left far more puzzled by it then receiving any answers from it.
“Sorry that we couldn’t contact you the last few days deary! The Trip so far was not without hiccups, a lot of technical difficulties that delayed us being able to message you. Don’t worry about searching for the sheep hun, simply take care of yourself and the rest will all fall into place. Take time to relax, we are sure you will figure it all out in the coming days. We believe in you- Laura and Lukas.”
Did they know about what happened to her? Was this their plan all along? Alex was left more confused by this whole situation by the minute, all of this seemed so strange, as if this was all a dream. If it was it was maybe the best dream she ever had.
Her heart beat faster as she was calling Robin, the anxiousness that filled her in the supermarket returning as she waited for her to respond. It felt like an eternity was passing. What if she decided that Alex was too weird? What if she noticed that she wasn't a real girl? She hated her head for filling her thoughts with such ideas for suddenly hearing Robin finally pick up
“Hello? Who is this?” Her voice asked in a confused tone.
“It’s.. It’s… me Alex…” was what my mouth stumbled out.
“Oh the cute lesbian, wanted to ask me out already?” Robin said, as if she was able to read me like a book
“M...Maybe? Is this a Yes?” she said, surprised and a bit angry at herself for simply saying it.
“Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Tomorrow I don’t have to work, if that is okay with you I can drop by and we can do some stuff together.” Alex was nearly breaking from what Robin said, her mind going all over the place as it processed what was just said. Without a real thought she said
“Sure, tomorrow would be fine, looking forward to it.” She was surprised she was able to say that at all.
“See you tomorrow then~” It almost sounded like Robin was flirting with her at the end. They hung up, Alex staring blankly out of the window, attempting to process the reality that she is going to have a date with a cute girl.
Alex felt over the moon right now, her feelings of joy were all over the place! She is going to have a date! With a cute girl no less! Tomorrow already! She couldn’t keep herself calm, but she had to get herself to sleep. If she didn’t sleep she would look like a mess and she didn’t want to look like a mess in front of a girl she likes. Fuck she really got a bad crush on Robin, but what will happen once she learns that Alex wasn’t a real girl?
She could lie about that fact, it isn’t like she didn’t WANT to be a girl. At this point all she wants to be is a girl, a desire so strong that it made her go insane. But yet this did not feel new to Alex. She always felt like she wanted to be a girl, but that was a silly thought! Guys can’t be Girls she thought before, now she had proof that that wasn’t the case. Trans people were known to her, but she didn’t know a lot about them, to her they always were weirdos that crossdressed and acted very diva like but that wasn’t true. That’s what she figured out after her long searching on the web, as her brain filled her with doubts about her gender and made her more and more confused. Realizing she was trans wasn’t easy, but finally being able to accept herself as a girl was something she wanted more than anything. It finally made her understand who she was. Tonight was the night that Alex would finally take his final rest, when she wakes up all that will be left is Paula. And Paula would have one exciting day ahead of herself.
Paula felt amazing. Today was the day that she is going to have a nice little date with Robin, have a gay old time and finally live the rest of her life as a cute girl. She was ready for everything that life could throw at her, today was going to be her day! Sadly none of her cute girl clothes arrived yet, so she had to make due with what she had…. And what she had was far more feminine then she ever realized. Her subconscious already tried to present as much of a girl as possible, most of the stuff she had was D.VA shirts, very light with a few pink outliers. The only thing missing were a few skirts for her to wear. She made sure that as much of her wool was covered up by what she wore, her horns hidden in her hair and her tail tucked between her underpants. Going to the kitchen she made herself some breakfast, cleaned everything up because she left everything as a mess since she didn’t expect a guest until yesterday night and looked over everything so that this whole house was in tip top shape.
She went to the doorbell as soon as it rang, bracing herself a bit before opening it. Behind it was Robin, dressed in the most stunning outfit she has ever seen. A leather jacket with lots of LGBT pins that was opened up to a t-shirt from Against Me! Hot Pants over fishnets and combat boots that would make the army jealous. Her hair was a long flowing sidecut with blue streaks and her lips were colored a dark cerulean. Paula’s heart beat faster than it ever had in its entire life.
“So can I come in or are you going to stand there and look at me the whole day?” Robin asked, snapping me back into reality. Paula simply stepped to the side, allowing her to enter. Robin took off her jacket and placed it on the rack, going into the living room of the house together with Paula. “The farm hasn’t changed a bit since I was here huh.” She said, looking back at a very confused Paula. “I remember my parents sending me here one day, telling me that it would help me. At the time I didn’t know how watching over sheep would help me in any way possible but then... “
Gears started rotating in Paula’s head, the message her grandparents sent finally made sense. They knew she was trans all along, they knew what would happen when she entered the farm. She didn’t know how her grandparents made this black magic work but they knew what she needed the most. She sat down next to Robin on the old leather couch.
“I really was blind to the fact that I was a girl for most of my life, so I guess turning into a sheep girl in a single night is what I needed.” She said, a bit worried about the reaction that Robin would give.
“Same for me. Ironically enough I turned into a black sheep girl of all things, a misfit even through magical transition.” The two of them moved closer together, Robin wrapping an arm over Paula. “ I am happy that i finally have someone that is like me to talk to. In real life I mean.” She smiled at Paula, resting her head on her shoulder.
“I think I love you.” The two of them stuttered out.
They would talk the rest of the day about how they felt, their future was looking brighter than ever.
