I should be terrified.
A god-like alien warlord and his seemingly infinite legion of space death ships are floating in the sky, declaring conquest over my home planet.
A cybernetic kaiju just stomped through downtown like it was built to wipe us off the map.
And me?
I’m just some random kid trying to survive another school day. Or I was…before I started glowing like a walking galaxy!
My body is literally glowing with raw cosmic energy I don’t understand.
I should be terrified.
But I’m not.
Instead, I feel something else—something deeper. It’s not just power coursing through me.
It’s understanding.
Like I was always meant for this.
The fear? Gone. The hesitation? A memory.
And the first thing I do with this newfound cosmic clarity?
I point at Ultrilotus, the self-proclaimed Hyper Space God, and say,
“Hey, ugly. Come down here and fight me yourself.”
Not a particularly creative line, I will grant you…but it’s my first try…right? …Right?
The alien warlord snarls, his yellow eyes seeming to eliminate as an expression of his rage.
His face still looms on the massive screen embedded in the cyber-kaiju’s chest.
“You… dare… challenge me?”
His words don’t come from the screen or the kaiju.
They come from inside my head, like he’s tearing through my thoughts to deliver them straight into my brain.
I cross my arms.
“I do.” I say coldly, as I smile with a confidence I shouldn’t have.
His lips curl back, revealing sharp, gleaming teeth.
Rage pulses through his voice.
“The Neftari… Those meddling, pathetic bastards… They dare interfere again?!”
What the hell is he talking about?!
Doesn’t matter. Stay focused.
Right now, I only care about one thing.
Stopping him.
Ultrilotus roars, his voice shaking the buildings surrounding me.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
“YOU WILL DIE FOR THIS INSULT!”
The kaiju moves.
Fast.
One second, it’s standing still—the next, it’s swinging a gigantic cybernetic fist at me. The force behind it is enough to demolish a city block.
It should pulverize me.
But it doesn’t.
Because without even thinking, I raise my hand—and catch it!
The impact shakes the earth! The street cracks beneath my feet!!
But I don’t budge
I stare at my own hand in shock!
It’s massive…glowing with the same swirling cosmic energy that transformed me.
My fingers are locked around the kaiju’s fist like it’s nothing.
Ultrilotus watches from the screen, his rage shifting to disbelief.
“…Impossible.” He whispers.
Yeah, dude. I’m right there with you.
But I don’t have time to dwell on it.
Instinct takes over. My body moves before I even think, like I’m playing Eternal Rage in the arcade on autopilot.
I twist the kaiju’s arm — hard — and rip the entire limb off like it’s made of cheap plastic!!
Sparks and alien fluids spray from the wound as the monster staggers backward!
I blink.
Did I… just do that?!
The kaiju recovers, its remaining arm shifting, morphing into a massive energy cannon.
It charges…glowing…red-hot…and I know exactly what’s about to happen.
I smirk.
“Oh, you’re one of those bosses.”
The cannon fires. A beam of destruction lances through the city, vaporizing everything in its path. The building turn to ash in an instant.
I barely have time to react — so I do the only thing my gamer brain tells me to do.
Special Move.
I swing my hand up, slamming into the beam with my forearm, and to my absolute shock, the attack bends around me, crashing into a distant building instead.
Ultrilotus loses it.
“WHAT ARE YOU?!”
I don’t answer.
But suddenly — I know what I am.
The moment the blue jewel stabbed into my chest, I became something else.
Something powerful.
Something that exists to fight beings like him.
I am a COSMIC MONSTER.
And I have one job.
To WRECK this KAIJU!!!
I crouch low, every muscle in my new cosmic form coiling like a spring.
Then—
I launch myself forward.
The shockwave alone shatters windows as I cross the distance in an instant. The kaiju doesn’t even have time to react before my fist collides with its chest.
BOOM.
The force rips through its entire body, tearing through steel and alien tech like wet paper.
The cyber-beast staggers, struggling to stay upright—
I don’t let it.
I jump, twisting in the air, and bring my glowing fist up into a meteor punch right at its neck—
CRUNCH.
The kaiju’s head flies clean off, horns and all!!
The sheer force of my attack sends it rocketing into the sky —
Right through the alien mothership!!!
The horns impale the massive ship, spearing straight through the command deck.
The screen flickers, showing Ultrilotus, his face frozen in shock.
Then —
He starts to laugh.
His ragged chuckle fills the air, distorted by static.
“I—ha…hahaha… of course… what luck… to die this way…they will come! Hahahahaha…they will come for what remains….I swear it!!”
He coughs and blood covers his chin.
The screen flickers again—then explodes in a fireball as the mothership begind to fall into New Tokyo harbor.
The alien fleet panics.
One by one, their ships seem to retreat, blipping out of existence and abandoning their leader. Within moments, the sky clears as the invasion crumbles.
Where did they go? Will they be back? I don’t know.
The mothership crashes into the harbor, sending a towering wave across the docks. I stand in the middle of it all, my breath heavy, my body still pulsing with energy.
I did it.
I actually did it.
But as the adrenaline fades, a new sensation takes its place.
Exhaustion.
My cosmic form flickers, dimming. I feel my body shrink, muscles contracting, power fading — but not completely.
I’m still… big. How big, though?
Not mountain-sized, but definitely larger than human.
Over 2 meters, for sure.
Damnit…distracted again.
Then I hear them.
The military.
Tanks, soldiers, armored vehicles—a full battalion surrounding me.
Guns aimed. Voices shouting.
I don’t blame them.
If I saw some cosmic glowing beast standing in the wreckage of an alien battle, I’d be freaked out too.
I raise my hands in surrender…but when I do…I suddenly feel light headed…then I stumble, my legs giving out beneath me.
The last thing I hear before everything goes black is someone shouting:
“HE’S COLLAPSING! GET SOMEONE IN HERE, NOW!”
Darkness takes me.
And for the first time in what feels like forever—
I sleep.
