“Hehehe. HAHAHAHAHA!” A terrifying laugh erupted from behind the pillar as the monstrous woman punched through it and walked forward. “I haven’t had this much fun in years!” She roared as she peeled off her helmet. The woman’s skin was a light tan, her red hair tightly braided and fastened on the back of her head.
The 6-foot 8-inch lady had massive arms that seemed to belong to that of a body builder. Her silver and gold armor were covered in dirt and rubble. She wore a breastplate with spiked pauldron’s and was heavily armored along the sides of her legs. Despite manipulating the earth around her to create various weapons, the woman preferred fighting up close and personal. Oddly enough, she had no protective coverings around her arms or hands except the well-worn cloth that was wrapped around them.
Lumina could gauge that her enemy preferred to use their hands and feet to crush their opponents.
“That’s the problem being blessed with such massive physique. It’s tough to keep an eye on such a quick little wolf.” The woman kept an eye on Lumina, “I guess this just means I get to go all out!” The lady said the last sentence full of excitement. She punched her fists together and the ground itself trembled as waves of rock exploded out of the ground in a circle around her.
“She wasn’t going all out?!” Lumina thought to herself with disbelief. It was already difficult enough trying to survive earlier. Now it was going to be harder? Lumina dropped into a crouch bracing for whatever might come.
The woman started speaking, “You know. Some people say the way I use the earth is very basic and rudimentary.” Some of the larger rocks around her began to lift off the ground. “But you know what? There rarely has ever been a battle I couldn’t win by throwing rocks at it!” The large woman threw her hands forward and a barrage of rocks the size of Lumina’s head soared at her.
Ducking and weaving through the onslaught, Lumina occasionally deflected a rock with her shield. Unfortunately, the rocks weren’t the problem, it was the woman charging in behind them; using that same annoying spiked shield leading the way. She wanted to get a better position or at least have her shield free, but the threat of the rocks was too great, forcing her into a situation where she lost no matter what she tried.
Gritting her teeth as she avoided the last flying rock, Lumina barely managed to bring her shield to block the women’s charge. Both shields collided with a resounding clash. Lumina gasped in pain as her arm was wrenched free of her shield and launched backwards uncontrollably, eventually rolling to a painful stop.
Looking up, she saw her shield impaled on that monstrous women’s spike. The rocky shield broke apart leaving the punctured shield in the rubble.
Lumina got back up on her feet, blood dripping down her arm and off her elbow. Not only was she sure that her elbow was injured, but the spike had also penetrated through the shield and had broken through her pauldrons piercing her shoulder.
“I don’t think my shield arm is going to be of much more use in this fight.” Lumina thought as she moved her injured arm a little to gauge the damage. She winced as she felt sharp pain shoot from the wound.
Stolen novel; please report.
There was no choice. Lumina had to get out of there. She had to focus all her efforts on escaping. She quickly bolted to the side in an effort to get more distance between her and her attacker, that was until a large wall of stone erupted from the ground blocking her escape.
“You cannot run. You cannot escape.” The large woman approached slowly as she spoke. “I was given a name by the many enemies I have crushed in the past. Milli Stonefist. A name I do not care for, but one aptly given.”
Every step Milli took towards Lumina, the ground shook, and the wall that had been created to prevent escape grew and began to form an arena around them. Milli picked up a sizable stone from the ground with one hand. Punching it with her other, the rock instantly crumbling and forming an earthen gauntlet around it. She did the same thing with the other hand, and at this point. The arena was complete, and Lumina was now trapped with the terrifying woman. “Any last words?” Milli asked as she charged forward.
Lumina couldn’t run, her left arm was essentially dead, hanging at her side painfully, blood still dripping from the wound. She also charged forward and an exchange of blows between the two commenced.
Dancing in and out of each other’s attacks. Lumina managing to avoid the heavy hits, and Milli blocking Lumina’s sword with her gauntlets. It seemed the battle was at a stalemate, but Lumina was starting to get tired, and her injured arm didn’t help at all when it came to dodging. Not to mention the crippling caustic pain that shot through her as she forced herself to fight.
Milli broke the cadence of blows between the two as she punched into the ground and gouged the earth, throwing a hail of rocks easily, as if she had just thrown sand.
Lumina got pelted by the spray of stones forcing her to jump back. She could feel the weight of the rocks impact on her armor as she took a defensive position protecting her head from the rest of the large debris.
The area around her got dark. Suddenly she felt a tight pressure around her neck as Milli lifted Lumina off the ground with one hand, the other poised to deliver the final blow. Lumina struggled to break free as she swung her sword at Milli.
Using her other hand, Milli caught Lumina’s arm holding the sword and gave a powerful squeeze. Gasping in agony, Lumina let go of her sword. The fine weapon clattering to the ground. “This is the end Lumina.” Milli said as she threw her fist forward delivering a killing blow.
