There is a saying that if you escape incoming threats or come to stick, you will live for 100 years. That is exactly what Arian is feeling right now. "What do I say? I am from another world where magic doesn't exist, from a world where technology is superior. Won't they make me a lab rat, contemplating what Butler would think?" he decides, "Let's lie first, then improvise."
"I am Arian Blood Steal, Son of..." Arian stops lying and is abruptly cut off by the Butler. "Tell me who you are, not the body you possess!" the Butler said in a dominating manner.
At this moment, Arian is scared and regrets his stunts to prove that he is a genius, like decoding books, reading too early, learning to combat too easily, not complaining; he regrets it. "Shit, I can't run away."
"Okay, these eyes might be a special ability like a lie detector. Let's gamble my life," he laughs at himself internally.
He takes a deep breath. "I am a human; I don't have two people in me, and I am not a demon," he says, glaring at him.
"So it is true, huh?" the Butler laughs. "OK, master, I was just testing you to see if you were possessed by a demon." Arian, who almost pissed his pants, says, "You sure were," as nonchalantly as possible to show he is telling the truth. "Very well, but why were you so scared, young master?" Then Arian says, "I felt someone dangerous watching," trying to show he wasn't scared because he was hiding. "I was cautious, not scared."
After calming down, he feels insecure. He wants to go outside with this family as soon as possible, and even though he knows this situation might happen outside, he is worried. He is thinking, "Will there be someone like me, or did my teammates come here? It was dead, and how could he call his friends even if they were like him without attracting suspicions?" and a solution for all his worries. First, he needs to grow stronger.
"Okay, today this all happened. I am planning to become stronger to be able to find my friends, and the truth about myself is that I was given an opportunity by my friends or a real god. I doubt that the gods here are as almighty as they sound or show."
"So what are the things I can do?"
"So I could search for resources in my village to improve my village's recognition and earn a reputation from family and other traders. If that happens, I could get away with a business test or gain an advantage in it next."
"I have an artificial dungeon, and I need to experiment more with the science and magic rules of the world."
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
"Oh, right, the secret vault." He approaches it cautiously and opens it. When he once again takes the book, he notices something glowing under the book. It is the same golden ring with a red diamond on it.
"Okay, let's experiment with these stones. Actually, why does it feel like I have done this before? Don't tell me I did it when—oh, right, I have a problem with my brain. That's dangerous, no way."
"Do they have security? Where is my map? I have a healing potion and holy water if I encounter any evil spirits, but am I hurrying too much? My muscles are still under development, even though it seems children here are a little more early achievers. Let's not think I will only explore a little."
With lots of thought, thus, he starts his experiment on this world's physics, rules, and mana impact on various things.
"Okay, first, let me start with natural mana crystals."
He starts by collecting basic medicinal plants and planting them in a pot. He takes one of the mana stones inside his inventory; it is only the size of his little finger, which is as small as he is at 9 years old.
Using glass equipment, he tries to mix mana with water by making a small droplet every hour through mana stones on plants.
He makes another one, and he makes it different.
Results: One on which he jams mana stone into a pipe barely letting water leak, the mana crystal quickly loses its luster and kind of rusts like no fungus-like growth forms, making him realize, "Oh right, mana devourer," a kind of organism that eats on mana stone, although they are rare inside safe zones but common outside, still makes him wonder the horror of these kinds of creatures. Plants are full of vitality and are above average in terms of size and height.
As for the type 2 enclosed one, the water around the tank is sparkling and has a blue texture. The growth is the fastest, and it bears fruit, but later it starts to die for an unknown reason.
Type 3: This is an interesting one as he sees good stable growth like in type 2, but the stone is dissolving quickly and worms are breeding at a faster rate, but not in all cases, as mana is just energy, which is shaped through will and manipulation. Pondering how to experiment properly, he leaves it and takes on another project. Before that, he stores everything, including plants.
He writes down in his diary everything, and his thoughts on mana are mostly influenced. He writes experiments on gravity, experiments on plants using natural pure mana, goblin blood, etc.
"I should probably read mana theory and effects once again and learn the mana-devourer repelling technique."
He talks with the Butler about bringing materials, but he is denied, as natural pure mana is too rare to use, and even his normal experiments are supposed to be monitored by him. Although Arian doesn't say anything about his private experiment, the Butler knows.
Near an underground artificial dungeon, goblins are eating one another with ferocity, their eyes red with lust for blood. Little did Arian know he was going to face mutated "vamp goblins" that his father made to experiment on something that was forbidden by true gods. Although it failed after his father's absence, it is now successful, or successful enough to make some people feel terror.
Even powerful individuals would open their eyes wide with pure amusement and implications.
