With the room locked in a tense silence, the remaining demon adventurers found themselves caught in a maelstrom of conflicting emotions—fear, anger, and a desperate determination to survive. The Succubus Queen’s sudden alliance with Lich King Drelak had turned the tide of the battle in a direction none of them had foreseen, and now, the threat of their total annihilation loomed large.
Zealot, struggling to keep his composure, clenched his fists as he eyed the imposing figures of Drelak and his boss monster generals. ‘I’ve been reckless,’ he thought bitterly, ‘thinking I could rely on the novel's plot to guide me. But this… this is no longer a game I can predict. I’ll have to adapt, or I’ll die here along with the others.’
Suddenly, Zealot and Sasha’s bone collars shattered, and Master Drelak’s voice echoed in their minds: ‘You are no longer of any use to me. Your knowledge of my existence, however, presents a problem. I’m afraid I cannot allow both of you to live, and as such, you will be executed along with the other demon adventurers.’
Without uttering another word, Master Drelak raised a commanding hand, signaling his boss monster generals and his summoned skeletal army to attack the demon adventurers. “Kill them!” his voice rang out, cold and imperious. “Show no mercy and leave none of them alive!”
Just like that, the battle erupted into chaos.
Amidst the clamor of combat, Sasha, fully aware that her end was imminent, acted without hesitation. “It’s time for you to die, Zealot! Accept your fate!” she shouted, directed all her focus and fury toward Zealot, her movements driven by a desperate resolve. With a surge of murderous intent and the full force of her strength, she launched a fierce assault.
CLANG!
However, her strike fell short, missing Zealot by a narrow margin. Instead of confronting her intended target, Sasha found herself engaged in a fierce struggle against Zealot’s two formidable Skeleton Gold Warriors, who surged forward to defend their master with relentless aggression.
Meanwhile, the other demon adventurers and the noble demons were locked in intense combat against the formidable boss monster generals and the relentless skeletal army commanded by Lich King Drelak. The chaotic clash was a spectacle of magic and steel as each side fought for dominance.
Amidst this turmoil, Zealot found himself compelled to join the battle. The dungeon's oppressive atmosphere left no room for hesitation—clearing the raid and defeating the final boss, the Succubus Queen, was the only way to forcefully leave the dungeon. As Zealot plunged into the fray, he knew that victory was the sole path to freedom from this nightmarish dungeon.
Zealot's only hope of escaping the dungeon was to kill the Succubus Queen. Once the queen was defeated, the portal to exit the dungeon would appear. With no room for hesitation, Zealot unleashed his full power. But before he could confront the queen, he had to eliminate Sasha first, who was obstructing his path. Without mercy, he unleashed all his skills—Minion Berserk, Curse of Pee, and Curse of Diarrhea—to eliminate her interference.
MINION BERSERK! CURSE OF PEE! CURSE OF DIARRHEA!
In just under a minute, his two Skeleton Gold Warriors overwhelmed Sasha, swiftly and mercilessly cutting her down. As her lifeless body hit the ground, Zealot felt a surge of satisfaction. "Hell yeah! Finally! Fucking bitch is dead!" he exclaimed, the weight of her interference now lifted from his shoulders, allowing him to focus entirely on the battle ahead.
Approximately forty-five minutes later…
The battle had finally ended, with the demon adventurers suffering a crushing defeat. They lay sprawled across the vast marble floor of the throne room, their bodies battered and bleeding profusely. Each of them knew it was only a matter of time before death claimed them. Yet, the Lich King Drelak and his boss monster generals didn’t rush to finish them off. To them, this battle had been nothing more than an opportunity to flex their newly gained power.
“It’s over… we’re all going to die here…”
“Yeah… we’ve lost…”
“Haha… I guess this is the end for us…”
The demon adventurers exchanged their final words and shared fleeting moments of camaraderie as they lay on the cold marble floor. Despite their attempts to remain hopeful, the relentless bleeding and their severe wounds took their toll. Slowly, their strength waned, and one by one, they succumbed to the darkness, their breaths growing fainter until their lives slipped away.
Meanwhile, Zealot was in a dire state: he had lost one eye, both arms, and both legs, leaving only his upper body and a barely functioning heart intact. He should have been dead, but thanks to his regeneration passive skill, he was somehow still clinging to life, his body barely held together by the threads of his extraordinary regeneration ability.
‘Ugh…! Goddammit! This fucking hurts like hell…!’ Zealot thought, consumed by agony.

One of the boss monster generals, the mighty Red Orc King, observed from his vantage point that Zealot was still clinging to life despite his dire condition. Intrigued by the sight of his seemingly resilient foe, the Red Orc King decided to approach the wounded Zealot, intent on assessing his state and perhaps delivering the final blow himself.
“Wow! To think you’re still kicking, huh? Impressive!” the Red Orc King sneered as he approached, his voice laced with mockery. “You’ve managed to impress me with your stubbornness and your dedication as Master Drelak’s loyal slave. Given all you’ve endured and the service you’ve provided, I suppose it’s only fitting that I grant you one last act of mercy. I’ll put an end to your suffering and end your life to relieve you from this misery.”
“......” Zealot could barely speak; his throat was so grievously wounded that even the faintest attempt at speech was a struggle.
“Ah, don’t worry. I don’t expect you to reply anyway,” the Red Orc King said with a dismissive wave of his hand, his tone dripping with a mix of mockery and finality. “You’ve shown remarkable resilience, I’ll give you that. But it’s time to put an end to this. Goodbye, Zealot. I have to admit, it’s been quite a joy working alongside you and raiding various dungeons together. But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. This is where your journey ends. Farewell, my little friend.”
With those final words, the Red Orc King lifted his massive, bloodstained hammer high above his head. The weapon’s dark, iron surface gleamed ominously in the light. He brought it down with a crushing force, the sheer weight of the blow making the ground tremble beneath them.
HORIZONTAL SMASH!
The hammer descended with a thunderous crash, and in an instant, Zealot's struggles ceased. The once resilient adventurer fell silent, his body going limp as the life was violently hammered out of him. Just like that, Zealot’s life ended, leaving only the echoes of his final breaths and the cold finality of his demise.
Ding!
[Game over! You have died!]
Having accomplished their objective of taming the Succubus Queen, there was no longer any need to stay in this dungeon anymore. With their goal achieved, Lich King Drelak and his formidable boss monster generals concluded that it was time to make their exit. They gathered their forces and summoned an exit portal with practiced ease. As the shimmering gateway materialized, the air was filled with a sense of finality. One by one, they stepped through the portal, leaving the dungeon behind. Moments later, they reappeared at the imposing Grand Zealot Castle, their domain now enriched with their latest conquest.
As soon as the Succubus Queen stepped out of her dungeon, the entire Dungeon World began to collapse almost immediately. The once-majestic Succubus royal palace, which had stood as a symbol of her power, started to disintegrate piece by piece. The grand hallways and opulent chambers that had witnessed countless moments of splendor now fell into ruin, crumbling under the weight of their own demise.
One week later…
In the middle of nowhere on a breathtakingly vast beach, where the sand stretched endlessly beneath a clear, sunlit blue sky, Zealot awoke beside the immense, lifeless body of a Mosasaurus dinosaur. Its colossal jaws were frozen in an eerie, gaping position, adding a stark contrast to the otherwise serene surroundings. The enormous dinosaur’s remains sprawled across the sand, a grim testament to the power that once ruled the ancient seas. It had died because, over the past week, it had been unable to digest Zealot, resulting in severe digestive issues that ultimately led to its death.
Zealot’s return to consciousness was nothing short of a miracle. His survival was entirely attributed to his extraordinary regeneration skill—a passive ability so remarkable that it defied the boundaries of life and death. Even after being claimed by the void, this unparalleled power allowed him to regenerate and return to life, defying the finality of death itself.
‘Ugh… What’s going on here…? Didn’t I die…? How am I still alive…?’ Zealot thought, his mind struggling to piece together the fragments of reality.
Unfortunately, the idea that his regeneration skill could work even after death had never crossed his mind. As a result, he was left disoriented and confused, unable to make sense of his impossible survival.
