I took a deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts and find the right words to explain the situation.
"Kanna… she… she was drunk. She… she thought I was someone else… She… she wanted comfort, so I…" I stumbled over my words, feeling the weight of Ema's intense gaze upon me.
Ema's expression softened slightly, but she still looked skeptical.
"And you couldn't just leave her alone? Why did you have to… cuddle her?"
Her expression was a mix of jealousy and a murderous instinct.
She has always suffered since she was little from constantly being compared to her sister.
I sighed, feeling the weight of guilt and frustration settling in. "I didn't want to upset her further. She was in a vulnerable state, and I didn't want to leave her feeling abandoned."
I tried to explain, but Ema didn't want to hear any excuse for me.
"You talked to me about cheating and then... you do THIS with my sister ?!?! ARE YOU STUPID?"
She yelled angrily at me.
She was really jealous.
I tried to calm her down but she didn't want to listen to me.
She just crossed her arms, waiting for me to say something.
Maybe she wanted me to say "Sorry"?
"Mmmm... Hehehe...~ Fumi-Kyuuuuun~~~~~~~ N-Not there... Mmmh... it feels so good~" Kanna mumbled in her sleep. She was even laughing.
Some saliva was even falling from her mouth.
I blushed really heavily.
Ema's expression changed from an angry one to a totally shocked and angry one.
"Disgusting." She said before going back to her room.
What a cliched scene.
I sighed again, not knowing how to react in that situation.
I had to follow her to say sorry but before i could walk out of the room, Kanna grabbed me from behind and pulled me on her bed.
What an awkward situation...
"K-Kanna... L-let me go, please! Ema will get the wrong ideas." I said while moving.
I was trying to free myself but her grip was too strong.
"N-no... don't leave me..." She whispered.
I couldn't see if she was dreaming or not.

"P-Please... B..." She mumbled.
"Benjiro...Kun..." She said.
At that exact moment, my heart froze.
"Benjiro? Why did she say that name?" I asked to myself.
"Don't leave me again... please... i'm not guilty..." She said with a sobbing voice.
"P...Please... don't l-l-leave me...I'm i..innoc..." After this last sentence, Kanna released me from her grip.
She fell totally asleep this time, snoring really softly, like a wild beast.
I took a look at her.
She had tears on her face and her drunk smile disappeared.
She cried while she was probably having a dream about Benjiro.
He never told me about something going on between him and Ema's sister.
"I'll ask him at school, i need to know a lot of things. It seems like that even after all these years, we're total strangers in some ways. Everyone has their ghosts." I thought.
After some minutes, i stood up and headed to Ema's room.
As I approached the door, I felt a sense of trepidation creeping over me.
"What would I say to her? How could I possibly explain the situation without making things worse?"
I hesitated for a moment before finally mustering up the courage to knock softly on her door.
"Come in," came Ema's voice from inside.
I pushed the door open slowly, unsure of what I would find on the other side.
Ema was sitting on her bed, her arms crossed tightly over her chest, her expression unreadable.
She had a small pout on her face and was avoiding to look me in the eyes.
"Hey…" I began tentatively, stepping into the room. "I just wanted to talk…"
Ema didn't say anything and she turned her eyes to me, but her gaze was piercing, as if she could see right through me.
"I know things got a little out of hand downstairs," I continued, choosing my words carefully.
"But I want you to know that I didn't mean for any of that to happen. I was just trying to help Kanna. She was upset, and…"
"And what?" Ema interrupted, her voice cold and distant.
"And I didn't want to leave her alone," I finished lamely, feeling the weight of guilt pressing down on me.
Ema sighed, running a hand through her hair.
"I get it," she said quietly. "I understand that you were just trying to be a good person. But that doesn't change the fact that it hurt to see you… with her."
The funniest thing about this, is that Ema has NEVER been jealous of any interaction between me and her sister, instead she always joked about it.
Yes, she sometimes felt jealous when Kanna acted clingy towards me but not at this level.
"I'm sorry," That's the only thing that i managed to say.
"I never meant to hurt you, Ema. You mean everything to me, and I hate the thought of you being upset because of me."
Ema looked up at me, her eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and longing.
"I want to believe you," she said softly. "But I don't know if I can trust you anymore."
Her words cut deep, and I felt a pang of regret wash over me.
How had I let things get to this point?
And most of all , why did she overreact like this?!
"I'm sorry." I said again, while looking down on the floor.
Then, she patted the place on the bed next to her.
"Come here and sleep with me if you're sorry." she said.
The small pout of jealousy was still printed on her face.
I let out a gentle sigh and slowly went next to her.
fter sitting down beside her on her bed, she snuggled up against my chest, hugging me.
Then we both lay down on the bed and closed our eyes, drifting into a "peaceful" sleep...
~~~~Time skip of 3 hours~~~~
During that night, I woke up suddenly.
I still don't know why, but I woke up.
It was precisely at that moment that my attention was drawn to the sound of a notification coming from Ema's phone.
My girlfriend was sleeping in a very relaxed way, but during the night, she had moved away from me, so I was free to get up.
Driven by curiosity, I got up and walked towards Ema's phone to pick it up.
"I know I shouldn't do this... it's a real lack of respect and trust..." I said to myself.
But at that moment, I felt like I had to do it.
I picked up the phone and saw a message from "Kiko" saying, "Ema! I stopped by your place tonight! You could have told me your boyfriend was here! I didn't want to disturb! See you the day after tomorrow outside the station, don't forget, okay? Kisses!"
"Kiko?" I thought. My hands started to tremble, perhaps from fear, perhaps from anger, I still don't know. I was very confused.
The person who stopped by was named 'Chiko' and not 'Kiko'.
Ema said that Kiko was a dear friend of hers.
"What's going on?" I thought.
