It's been a year since I published my trilogy! They are still out in ebook, paperback, and kindle unlimited. It's been crazy, and I have to admit, most of the craziness has come from moving on to other projects. There will always be a special place in my heart for this project, though. Every project has a special place in my heart, but Gunther and his adventure was so fun and crazy! It was such a wild ride, and I enjoyed writing about his time stuck in his own novel. It was quite cathartic for me, in a way.
As the trilogy has been out a year, I wanted to remind everyone here that reviews on amazon help me tremendously! No matter how many stars you give, those reviews help me out. On that note especially, please make them honest. I'll put the links to the trilogy on amazon again in the author notes, and encourage you all to give me an honest review of what you thought of my books. It is the best way you can support self-published authors like myself.
I've posted some of my other projects in the author notes. They are currently on Royal Road for free. I would love if you checked those out!
And finally, nostalgia hit me. I went through and read the trilogy again because it's always fun to re-read my stuff. I try to turn of my editing brain when I do, because then it makes it enjoyable. I was searching through my computer file when I stumbled on a short(ish) prequel story that I wrote a year and a half ago or so. It was fun to stumble on that. I wrote it right before I published the first book. In it, I wrote about Gunther's experience traveling to the narration headquarters to get his new narration device, and I wrote about the process leading up to the very first chapter of I Suck at Titles. It was important to me to get all the things straightened out in my mind, to have a firm knowledge of who Gunther interacted with and why. What Guardian's he talked to and the way he set up his characters. That way I could have it all figured so I could say "yes, this is how Gunther met Devin," or "this was the interaction between Gunther and Jim" just so I had it when I edited book one. But as a thank you, I wanted to post it here.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Part of me wondered if I was going to discover Gunther's actual name while writing this prequel. Turns out, Gunther is fiercely protective of his identity, and every name I tried just did not work. Anything other than Gunther made no sense to me as the author, so Gunther he will remain.
Again, thank you for everything! Thanks for still following and favoriting this story, even though this is officially a stub, and has been for at least a year, now. It was a wild ride! I hope to see you on my other projects!
