"My lord the cursed invaders shall storm to hold any second now!" a dwarf wearing a black armour with a sigil of a white bear entered the large room with the single white throne in the middle of it, on top of the throne a brown bearded dwarf sat down he wore the similarly black armour with the white bear sigil but his armour had some golden patterns near the bear sigil.
"So the time has come to face our mistakes" the dwarf on top of the throne stood up and walked closer to the one that entered the room and yelled.
"Gambri bring me my sword, we need to buy as much time as we can for those mages to finish their spell" the dwarf who was clearly of higher position than the one that kneeled down as soon as he approached, gave out his orderes.
"Yes my lord Dargar!" the kneeling dwarf named Gambri yelled out and saluted as he ran towards the locked door of the room.
Dargar the Lord of the last remaining fortress of the races of the world stepped out of his throne room and headed towards the big black steel gate that had two white bears on each of the sides.
The gate was the only entrance into the great throne room and it was the last remaining defense of the fortress, as Dargar approached the gate he saw his last remaining warriors making preparations for the enemy assault, he also noticed some humans, orcs and even some of the last remaining elves.
"Who would have thought that all the races that hated each other would be gathered here, to battle for out survival" Dargar whispered to himself.
He sat down on a nearby rubble that had fallen off of the sealing, the rubble was almost everywhere the mountain was collapsing as the constant attacks from the enemy siege weapons never stopped since the battle began a few days ago.
He closed his eyes and started thinking about how all of this horror started, how the races were ignorant of the threat that came from beyond the void, how they fought each other as the true enemy grew in numbers and in streaght.
"We were truly foolish, our pride and greed destroyed us all" Dargar spoke to himself with bitterness clearly visible in his voice.
"Elora forgive me" he whispered the last words before he stood up and went over to the warriors that were forming a shield wall, with archers behind them.
"My Lord your sword is ready!" Gambri finally came and brought the sword, Dargar slowly reached his hand towards the shining blade made out of black steel, the handle of the blade was made out of gold and it had a shape of a dragon with numerous small gems in it.
"Thank you my friend" Dargar smiled towards Gambri how saluted by putting his hand on his heart and smiled back at Dargar.
Dargar turned towards the gate, he could hear the sounds of horrors on the other side, the warriors all had their back chilled by the horrific sounds of the creatures.
"Hold the line warriors we are the last remaining force that is able to fight the monsters of the void, do not let your fear guide you, do not let them destroy your hope, FIGHT! FIGHT FOR YOUR LIVES FIGHT!!" Dargar yelled out in hopes of bringing some moral back to the warriors.
"OUHHHHH!!!!!" and it worked all of the warriors present be it an orc, dwarf, human or elf they all let out a battle cry that rivaled the horrific sounds that came from the other side of the gate.
"Let them come!"
"I'll let them taste my axe!!"
"My bow shall pierce this evil!"
The soldiers each yelled out something towards the gate as they all had replaced the fear they had with rage and anger towards the creatures that destroyed their homes and took the lives of their loved ones.

"Here they come!!" the large steel gate was broken easily as the horrific hulking creature that looked like one giant piece of bloody flesh strewn together walked in as it broke the gate.
"HAAAAAAAAAA!!!" it let out a terrifying shout as the smaller similar creatures that had a human shape dashed towards the shield wall of the dwarfs.
"ARCHERS FIRE!!" Dargar yelled out and the first volley was released, it took out quite the number of the creatures but the second wave of creatures came from the other side of the smashed gate.
"Raise your spears!" Dargar commanded, the dwarfs raised their spears but the creatures did not even care they rammed into the shield wall and into the spears, the creatures used the impaled creatures as a ladder they climb on their bodies to avoid the shield wall.
"Swords out! Archers move back!" the dwarfs tossed their spears and took out their black steel swords and engaged the creatures in close combat.
Dargar charged towards the creatures that were purring in nonstop, he slashed at one of them but the flesh creature blocked with its long claws.
"Damn it! Archers support us!" Dargar yelled out as he pushed back the creature and slashed through its claws and killed it.
"Archers what's wrong!" Dargar noticed that the archers did not provide any support, he turned around and saw that the archers that moved back where being overrun by the flesh creatures.
"Damn it they opened another hole! Fall back to the inner quarters fall back!" Dargar yelled out as he saw just how desperate the situation was.
"My lord I shall buy time until you reach the mages quickly!" Gambri yelled out as he cut off the head of the creature that was attacking him.
"....." Dargar didn't say anything he just nodded and with a bitter face retreated with a handful of warriors that he could the others stayed back with Gambri and continued to fight to the death, only screams and cries were heard as Dargar ran towards the inner quarters where the mages were finishing their spell.
"We are finally here, warriors barricade the door!" Dargar entered the room, inside the room 6 mages were standing in a circle, they wore blue robes and hoods on their heads.
"Lord Dargar the spell is almost ready we need just a little more time!" one of the mages moved closer and spoke to Dargar.
"Dalan we do not have time look they are already clawing on the door we need to do it now!" Dargar yelled out, anyone could clearly see that he was desperate.
"My lord, it would take at least an hour longer to complete the spell....I am afraid" Dalan hanged his head down and spoke with a voice that sounded almost lifeless.
"Damn it so everything is lost....all those lives....all the brave warriors that stood their ground against those monster everything is lost DAMN IT!!!" Dargar threw his sword and punched the wall in anger and frustration.
"M..my LORD...I think...I think we can do another spell instead of reversing the time! There is still hope we have enough power to send one person back! YES YES, it is possible!" Dalan started babbling on and yelling as he spoke which snapped Dargar back to his senses.
"Dalan are you speaking the truth!?" Dargar grabbed the Dalan by his robes and yelled.
"Y...yes!" Dalan gulped down and spoke.
"Then do it!"
"But my lord who will go back?" Dalan turned his head towards Dargar and asked him.
"I shall go" Dargar told him with a resolved face, he had to prevent all of this from happening to his world.
"Very well give me a minute and the power for the spell shall be turned for just one person to enter and travel ba..." Dalan wanted to explain how the spell was going to work but he was stopped as the door came crashing down and with that, the horde of flesh monsters came through.
"No time to explain Dalan go now! Yell when it is done!" Dargar yelled and turned towards the horde of flesh monsters that already engaged the last remaining defenders of the fortress.
He ran and jumped towards the first flesh monster that came towards him, he pierced its head with his sword and continued on to slash against the approaching monsters.
Dargar was covered in wounds the creatures claws tore through the black armor, his warriors were almost annihilated but he still kept swinging his sword and cutting down creature after creature because there was still hope behind him, he didn't let a single creature approach the mages.
"My lord IT IS DONE JUMP INTO THE BLUE VORTEX NOW!!" Dalan the mage yelled towards Dargar who as soon as he heard the first word already turned around and sprinted towards the blue vortex that was in the middle of the mages.
Dargar reached the vortex and jumped into it without a second thought, the last thing he saw and heard was Dalan saying "Save us all my lord!" as he took out a small dagger that was hidden beneath his robes and charging towards the flesh monster horde along with the remaining mages.
"Darkness"
That was all Dargar saw as he could not help but lose his consciousness.
