Lieng kai was born as the third son of the leader of the Lieng family, was the first child of the second wife even in modern times the Lieng family had the custom of head of the family had more than one wife, that was for the  next leader of the family Lieng decide according merit and not by bloodline, this custom was maintained to keep the family prospers.
