The cavern was enormous.
Its ceiling was akin to a dome.
An enclosed cavern was supposed to be devoid of light as to what I had originally pictured in my mind, but this place was far from it.
Surprisingly, the space was very well lit as opposed to dark and gloomy.
Crystals at the top of the ceiling, big and small, formed a stalactite like structures.
There were gigantic crystals on the ground too resembling stalagmites.
Together, they all illuminated the entire hall with their somewhat calming red glowing light.
They scattered like mini stars inside the cavern.
The ground where I was lying flat had a rather soft soil quality to it.
It was pleasant against my back.
It was different from the pebbly quality of the general soil composition of the entire dungeon floor.
Here inside, the soil was rich and soft.
In fact, there are patches of Bermuda grass growing.
Or was it moss?
I was not quite sure since I am no expert with plants.
What I was sure of though was that, there was vegetation inside this cavern.
“What the hell?”
I exclaimed while I tilted my head.
In my upside down vision, as I was surveying the entire cave, I was very surprised to see a huge tree that closely resembles an Elm.
It had a very thick tree trunk base.
To hug it, one person would not be enough.
It would, at the least, take four grown men together to cover the circumference of the Elm.
Lush and full leaves were also being sported by its powerful overlapping branches, making it more gigantic.
The only thing that separated this tree, from the other regular Elm tree that I had seen before, was that this flora was glowing red.
Yes! A Red Glowing Elm Tree!
It was not the usual green earthy friendly tree.
It was beautiful. I’ll give it that.
However, the red glow emanating from it, was giving it an aura of something very menacing.
As much as I was amazed by the sight, I refused and second guessed myself on approaching the tree.
I left it alone.
Them cats can have all the curiosity they want but I am not having any of that.
I do not have any plans about dying over a tree.
First things first...
“Open Inventory Screen”.
I commanded.
A transparent window appeared in front of me.

In one of the many storage space in the screen, I took out the egg shell fragment that I stowed away a few minutes back.
I looked around me.
I chose a suitable spot not too far away from the entrance, but at the same time, not too near from the Red Elm tree.
I was more afraid of the cavern entrance but I was also not feeling secured with moving nearer towards the red tree either.
It just spelled death flag to me no matter how I analyzed it.
You have chosen to relocate your respawn point. Is this space your final choice? Please confirm
Yes/No.
I have chosen the affirmative answer.
Finally, a safe hideout!
I will utilize this place until I can figure out how to escape from this unforgiving dungeon floor.
For the meantime, I took the opportunity to examine as to what were the contents of my Character Menu Screen.
There the miscellaneous, equipments, armors and other tabs in it.
I haven’t actually had the time to study what my character was capable of previously.
Wrestling against Hellwolves since day one, I didn’t have the luxury to check.
It was very unsafe to stay idle from the place where I once was before.
Now that I am relatively safe, I am truly thankful for this opportunity.

I was a little embarrassed about my character screen information.
This was really beyond pathetic for a special race.
Looking at how I was now, I didnt feel special anymore.
All that hype.
Gone!
I bet the other races were raking in gold and levels now while I’m stuck at level 1.
Jealousy suddenly sparked.
What about the other Demons in the game?
How are they faring?
Jake wondered.
Hopefully, they were doing much better than me.
I didn’t want to be the reason as to why this race would suck entirely.
I wonder if they were somewhere not so unforgiving and enjoying being lucky.
Leveling up steadily like the super strong bastards that we should be.
I looked at my gold vault.
It was all zeros.
Pathetic!
I sighed at the sight of my gold vault.
'The others must be rich by now.'
I shook my head side to side, full of regrets.
The intention of having a steady three meals a day goal was still too far away.
There might be a dire time that would force me to use those savings.
Dire times that may require emergency rations.
I was honestly hoping that I won’t, but I was going to prepare for the worst.
I might check that youtube recipe for a tofu steak later.
I heard it taste good but I can’t be too sure.
I have not tasted something like that even once so I can’t comment on it yet if it was true.
I evaluated my situation once more.
So I had no weapon.
The game didn’t gave me one at all.
Maybe this was standard?
I was hoping it was the same for everyone else because that would be so unfair if it wasn’t.
What I do have equipped, as per my Equipment screen, was a loin cloth.
It was old, worm out and disheveled.
I think it was given for free as default just to cover the genital parts.
This game still wants to be decent I guess?
But Im a demon… should I just let it hang loose?
I chuckled.
That would be scandalous!
Not to mention I have a child’s body. That would be so much weirder.
Hmnn….what else do I have?
Oh!
Gaia Pack!
I had almost forgotten about this thing since I got absorbed in my plans of survival. Thanks to the space created by this cavern I was able to finally have the chance to unbox the Gaia Pack.
I read the description.
Gaia Pack.
The survival kit for beginners that aids adventurers in harnessing the potential of the earth and nature.
I wonder what’s in it?
I double tapped the icon.
Mister Freeman asked me if I'd wish to open the package?
I responded with a curt nod along with a yes for emphasis.
Very well.
The AI acknowledged.
Soon after, I’ve gotten bombarded by pop-ups.
You have received the book Deconstructing Gaia: A Guide to Alchemy
You have received the title 'Green Thumb'.
You have received the Bag of Seeds.
You have received the Beginner Baking Supplies.
That was quite a surprise!
I even got a title…. for free!!!
“Looks like I’ll be busy from here on”
I grabbed the book. I placed my hand on it.
Ding!
“Do you wish to learn the content of this book?”
"Of course Mister Freeman! Of course!"
