I opened my eyes seeing nothing but trees. Trees on my front, trees on my back, trees in every direction. It seems like I got transported in the middle of a forest.
“Favor my ass! That stupid goddess really turned me into a girl! Even that still wasn’t enough fo-” Shocked from the small and squeaky voice I produced, I immediately stopped my shouting. I took a look at my hands and see that it's the similar to a size of a 10 year old. I touched my face and felt a smooth and soft sensation. I also had Shiny, silver almost white-like hair. Just to be sure, I tried checking down there too. Alas! It’s gone. My son is gone.
“I really turned into a girl, but why do I need to be a little one!?” I complained as I took my first ever step in this world… Which turned out to be a bad idea.
*Thud*
I face planted on the dirt.
“It hurts.. Ahh! What is this!? Is that goddess already playing with me?!” I shouted as I rub my forehead, trying to ease the pain. That totally caught me off guard. The height difference from my original body was just too large. It felt like going down a stairs with one step having a different height from the others.
“Let’s try this again shall we?” Once again, I stood up and took another step, but this time, slowly and surely. It’s a bit difficult since I wasn’t used to this body yet. One step at a time, I slowly tottered my way towards a tree near me and pushed my body into it for support. A little girl stuck in the middle of nowhere. Can’t even walk properly, let alone run. Who knows what could happen to me.
“As much as I hate this, there’s no time crying over spilled milk.”
What to do? What do people usually do when they’re in an unfamiliar land, a forest specifically?
“It’s no use. I can’t think of anything.”
Leaning back on the huge tree behind me, I tried racking my brain for an answer. Then I remembered a TV show I happened to watch on my day off. It was a guy named Panda Frys. He dropped himself in the middle of a forest and tried escaping from it. I remember him looking for water and things to start a fire with.
“Water it is then. Now, which direction should I go.”
Having no idea which direction to pick, I took a stick I found lying on the floor. I balanced it upright, then waited for it to fall.
“Haha! Since I don’t have any information whatsoever, isn’t going where the stick fell the best option I have?”
I took my stick with me, now using it as a cane, and slowly wobbled my way towards the direction it fell. Walking felt a bit weird. Not only because of the sudden height difference, but also because of the now empty space between my thighs.
“This forest seems too peaceful. Not that I’m complaining.”
Rustling leaves, chirping birds, and small bunnies hopping away as I get close to them. It’s so relaxing it’s almost therapeutic.
After walking for what seems to be half an hour, more trees appeared. I didn’t even find a single drop of water. Of course, what did I expect? It’s not like a dumb idea like that would magically lead me to human settlement or something. Well, at least I can walk a bit better now. It took a bit of time, but I’m slowly getting used to this small body of mine.
“I’m tired,” I sighed as I slowly sat at the bottom of a tree.
*Boing*
*Boing*
I heard some squishing from my right. I took a look, and it was a slime jumping slowly towards me. Its color was blue. It didn’t look like it was gonna attack so I let it do its thing. It slowly bounced its way towards me and jumped up to my knees.
“Look at this cute little thing,” It might have felt the despair from my sigh earlier and went here to comfort me. I rubbed its top and felt something nice.
“It feels like touching jellies,” It jiggled its body up and down; it looked like it likes it.
“Do you want to come with me?” I asked as I lift it with both my hands. It has roughly the same size as a basketball or maybe even a bit bigger. It’s also lighter than it looks. The slime, again, started jiggling up and down. I’ll take that gesture as a yes.
I picked the slime up, held it to my chest, then started walking towards the direction my stick picked earlier.
“That stupid goddess. How am I gonna make my own harem now?” I grumbled to myself.

“What will Takahiro even say when he sees me like this? I can’t even think of something like liking a guy. I’m a male in my past life! Sure I’m in a body of a female right now but inside I’m still a male!” I complained louder. This is depressing. Let’s leave it there for now. I’ll think about it later when I get out of this forest.
*Grumble*
I’m hungry… No, let me scratch that. Starving, that’s the right word. I just arrived in this world and I’m already this hungry. No handicaps? No guides? No tutorials? Is my life set on hard mode or something?
“Ugh.. I’m starving... I’m thirsty too... What should I do... I guess I can drink my own piss? Yeah... No. That would be my last resort,” I said as I look around for some food and water. I looked down at the slime in my arms. I don’t know if I was just imagining it but it felt like it started trembling.
“Hehe. I’m just kidding, I’m not gonna eat you. You’re my precious companion now,” I said as I rub my cheeks on its top.
I continued walking for longer but to no avail. No food, no water, no shelter, no anything, just mushrooms growing on the bottom of the trees. If media had taught me something, it’s “most mushrooms are poisonous” so I’d rather not eat them. Not only that, the sun was also setting, and the temperature was starting to lower.
“If worse comes to worst, I guess I can sleep under a tree covered with leaves..” I said while placing the slime on the ground.
“Leaves it is!” I shouted to psych my self up. The slime in front of me wiggled it’s body up and down. I feel like this slime really understand what I’m saying. I then started to pick up some dry leaves from the surrounding area.
After quite some time, we finished gathering some leaves. I think we even gathered far too much.
“Uhh.. I guess that’s enough?” I stared on the giant pile in front of me. Yeah it’s totally more than enough. I even need to look up just to see the top of it! Just so you know it wasn’t me who gathered them, it was the slime. After it saw what I was doing, it started jumping around places. It sucked up a large amount, then threw it all out after.
“Good job?” I hesitantly said as I patted the slime on its top.
“I still don’t have any food though..” I complained as I let my body fell to the leaves. The slime did the same after.
“I guess I’ll sleep it off for now..” After deciding to head to bed, I noticed that the slime was trembling.
“Is there something wrong Mr. Slime?” it didn’t stop trembling, in fact it’s shaking only got stronger.
I silenced myself to watch my surroundings, then I noticed something amiss. The forest had become terrifyingly quiet. No chirp from birds, no buzzing from insects. Only the sound of my own breathing and squishing of the slime can be heard. I further investigated my surroundings, then suddenly a deep growl echoed through the forest.
“Haha-, th- there’s no way right?” I stuttered as I let out a dry laugh. Cold sweat starts pouring down my forehead. I slowly turn to my back. There it was, a monster twice my size. Black fur, sharp claws, sharp teeth, and red eyes, a more terrifying version of a wolf. It was still keeping its distance, probably judging what to do based on how I react.
I attempted to get up and run, but my knees gave out which only ended up with me falling back down. Seeing this, the large wolf lunged towards me. I subconsciously used the stick that I had as a cover, but the wolf bit it into nothingness.
“Please! Anyone! Save me! I don’t want to die! I don’t want to die... I- I don’t want to- Uwahhh!” I cried for help. I cried as loud as I can while hugging the slime tightly towards my head. As the wolf was about to do another lunge towards me. I heard a clang and a short whimper soon after.
I heard someone shout at me, but I couldn’t understand them.
I look at them, tears rolling through my cheeks, still trembling, and intensely hugging a slime. I wanted to run towards them, but I can’t. No matter what I try to do, my body doesn’t follow. They looked at me, stood there for a split second, then went in front of me, between the huge wolf and I.
The wolf let out a deafening roar trying to intimidate the both of us. As if what I had experienced earlier wasn’t enough, the roar made me unable to control myself. I let out a squeal and my pee starts to leak out as my consciousness slips out of me.

I woke up staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. “I’m.. Alive?” I asked myself as I feel my face. The wolf was gone, and now I’m lying in a bed.
I slowly scanned the room I’m in. Sun entering the glass-less window, unpainted brick walls, and a floor that looked to be made of long planks of wood. On the corner of the room, there was a tall wooden box with a door on it, probably a closet. Next to it is a small table and a chair. On top of the table, there was an object that looks like a lamp and a small circular mirror.
*Boing* *Squish*
Noticing that I’m awake, a slime jumped into my lap.
“You’re here!” I said as I picked up the slime and hugged it.
Having nothing else to do, I decided to get out of bed and take a look at the small mirror at the table. I haven’t really seen what I actually look like yet so it’d be a lie if I said I wasn’t a bit interested. I took a step out of the bed I’m lying in.
*Thud* *Splat*
I nosedived on the wooden floor.
“Oww.. Again?” I whispered as I rub my forehead.
“I guess I’m still not used to this body after all,” As I sit myself up, I noticed the horrible thing that I have done.
“AHH! Mr. Slime!!! NOOOO!!!!” The slime that I was hugging was squashed and splattered into a mess. I killed my first ever friend in this world.
The door slammed open and a woman went inside. Probably surprised by my scream. She immediately rushed to me and started shaking me while saying words I don’t understand. Staring at my hands I noticed the splattered slime slowly combining into a single blob. Little by little, it slowly went back to its original shape. It jiggled up and down like nothing ever happened. I immediately picked it up and hugged it.
“You stupid slime. Don’t ever scare me like that again!” I tighten my arms around it. Seeing this, the woman stopped shaking me and smiled.
“Kimasita ka lan?” Once again, she said words that I don’t understand. That damn goddess didn’t even give me the knowledge to understand their language Not even a simple heads-up! This is gonna be a real pain.
“I! Can’t! Understand! You!” I said each word slowly and loudly while moving my arms around. Realizing that I can’t understand her, she instead pointed at herself and said the word “Lilia”.
Oh, she’s probably introducing herself. Now that I think about it, I haven’t decided on a name yet. What should I do? I have a really bad naming sense. There’s this one time where my co-worker was asking for a cute name for her dog. I ended up suggesting the name “crackers” just because I couldn’t think of one and I was eating some at the time.
I stood up, walked to the table, and looked at myself in the mirror. The first thing that came to mind was white.
“What a cute face I have,” I mumbled as I admired my own face. I had blue-colored eyes, a small cute nose, and a small, plump, pinkish lips. I also noticed small, black horns on both sides of my head. I tried touching it and it felt hard. I also noticed that instead of my white dress, I am now wearing an oversized shirt.
“White.... Light... Illuminate… Lumina… How about Lumina?” I said as I look at myself with awe. While Lilia was giving me a confused look, I pointed at myself and said “Lumina”.
“Lu- mina?”
“Lumina!” I repeated.
*Grumble*
In the middle of introducing ourselves, my stomach decided to act up. Hearing this, Lilia chuckled and gently pulled me out of the room. Outside, there was a square table enough for four people to fit. Two chairs were set up across each other along with two wooden plates with bread, a small wooden bowl of soup, and two sets of wooden spoon and fork. In the center of the table was a bowl filled with what looks to be a salad made of lettuce and tomatoes.
I took a seat and immediately picked up the spoon and fork in front of me.
“Thanks for the food!” I took a spoonful of the soup and brought it into my mouth. A burst of flavor spread into my mouth. It’s delicious! The combination of saltiness, a bit of sweetness from the vegetables, and the taste of meat absolutely tasted like heaven. I tried biting the bread only to be faced with a disappointment. It was hard and dry.
Lilia, watching me from across the table, chuckled. Now that I took a good look at her, she’s actually beautiful. She has dark skin, blond hair, orange eyes, and soft-looking pink lips. She also has long pointed ears. I guess she’s what you call a dark elf? More importantly, she’s probably an E! Now that I think about it, will my chest also grow as big as that?
I looked at her chest, then to mine, comparing it with my hand. Yeah.. I’d rather not have it big. I’m still a guy after all, or rather I’d like to turn back into a guy now. I then rubbed my eyes, removing my imaginary tears. Watching my little charade, Lilia rubbed my head and said, “Lakali ata rin.”
Uwah... I feel like she’s saying that I’m still growing. I don’t really want it to get bigger though. Unable to understand each other, we ate in silence with Lilia chuckling at times.
