Synopsis
In the far north lies Schneeland, a land of eternal winter. Never have the inhabitants seen the greenery of a summer. There lived a man in this land, A brawny young man named Bruno. He grew up a commoner, destined for a life of unskilled labor. If fate was kind he could become an apprentice in the city but alas the city was days away and the journey was dangerous. But at the age of 16 fate blew in the winds of war that swept through his village, picking up most of the able bodied young men. He then lived for most of his days as a soldier to his lord, killing and surviving on the battlefield. He never knew glory or riches and during a border skirmish he lost his sword arm to a new blood. He survived only by the grace of god and was discharged. After he was discharged he remembered a favor he was owed after saving a noblewoman, Sahsa Blutschmied. He then got a job as a personal butler to the Viscountess.
In his old age he began to write and poured his soul into an Autobiography. Days passed with him writing, growing weaker and weaker everyday but his will was limitless. When he had finished his autobiography it seemed he aged decades within weeks. His last words were overheard by a maid, "Too late for glory. Too late to love. Too late to live. Maybe this time our life will matter...I leave this to you." Now a much younger Bruno awakes with a strange book in his hand and confusion in his heart as he reads his name on the cover...
