'Five cats, four cats, three cats, two cats, one cat.'

Yuriko doesn't know how long it is been while since she placed in this cage, suddenly she felt extreme headache followed by nausea making her vomit out her last meal it was clearly a side effect of the drug.

'Wha-what a heck!'

Cursing a doctor in her mind, Yuriko continued to vomit out all of her food, but worst of all, she still had a clear mind while vomiting all thanks to a drug. Eventually, she stops vomiting, but not because of effect is ended, but its because there is nothing left in her stomach to vomit out.

"Hmm, it only lasted one and a half hour looks like I need to add double the dosage."

With no strength left to argue with the doctor, Yuriko laid on groud mixed with her puke and tear. She didn't care about smell or moment to worry about it, right now with a combination of being spent every strength of her body and laying on something warm, she immediately lost her consciousness.

At that moment, thought about hungry cats didn't even enter her mind.

"Quite interesting." said Doctor White entered the room and carried unconscious rat back. As usual, he would leave rat in the room with hungry cats, but he found this specimen quite interesting as he observed it's unusual action different from other subjects after being injected with drug A.

A few hours later, Yuriko is wake up feeling like she got a heavy hangover. Opening her eyes, she found some nuts and carrot along with small boul of water placed in front of her. All of them had mixed with unknown powder, of course.

'I feel awful well at least better than being dissected .' Saying to her self, Yuriko moved towards her meal begun to eat. This time she eats her meal at a slow pace while observing other lab rats.

First, she checked her group and found other than her, all of them had bloody scar all around their body with blood dripping from it. There is even one empty cage with blood splattered all over it. At the edge of the bloody cage, she found a tail stuck in between bars.

'Poor guy, if you only just stood there.'

It seems like poor soul got ripped apart by wild cats like a bag of potato chips.

Then she switched to group B and saw even cruel sight as all five rats are cratching and biting the cage while completely ignoring gashing wound all around their body. Surprisingly no one in this group was dead looks like a drug they took was something that increases aggression and reduces the pain by amount.

As for group C looks normal because the doctor only fed them with red marble. At least, for now, there was no change in their appearance and behavior.

Hearing the familiar robotic sound, Yuriko quickly opened the system interface and saw all of her statuses are increased by a small amount.

After finished eating her meal, Yuriko used her claws to mark a day on a corner where she sleeps before going to sleep.

After being injected with the usual drug, Yuriko placed back into the room full of cats, but she understands she only needs to stand still and don't do anything stupid.

This time she felt the doctor increased the dosage as she felt it took even longer than previously. During the effect, she felt good and clear-minded. But then real hell starts when side effect kicked in, as she felt like being squeezed between two large hands forcing her vomiting everything including some of her stomach juice.

Laying on the ground mixed with her puke and stomach acid, she thought.

'I really need to manage my meal.'

To be honest, she saw it was coming from a mile away, but Yuriko couldn't resist the delicious nuts came in the mix. She got her punishment, but it was worth it.

*Day 3*

"Huh, why didn't you eat your meal ?" Said doctor while observing specimen 93 who didn't eat her meal. Seeing its shining eyes, he knows it definitely not trying to die like others.

'Come on, let's do this!'

This time, Yuriko was prepared to receive the drug, also knowing it will enhance her concentration in a long time. So she decided to memorize all things placed in the room, it was an efficient way to use time also who knows maybe those things will help her in some way.

Feeling the effect of the drug nonchalantly, Yuriko stood there while looking around the room, trying to memorize the things placed in glass frames. As usual, sometime later she felt the side effect, but thanks to her preparation the effect, was at a toleratable level.

After returning back while feeling a little bit smug about her accomplishment Yuriko eat her meal with satisfaction. While eating her meal she checked other groups but only saw one bloody cage on group B and two bloody cages on side of group A.

It was small but she wished more to survive like her.

Including her now there are sixteen rats left in the lab.
