"What is this? You can't take me away!", Vayne cried out in vain.
Rafael, the guard playing bingo, stepped ahead. He was highly orthodox. He belonged to a family of 'ember-granters', referred to as priests by the common folk. He was on his toes since he had heard the news of someone being harmed by Thanu's fire. It was unnatural and an omen of catastrophe. He looked at Vayne. He saw the Beast's sigil on his hand.
"Son of a bitch! Y-Y-You monster!", shouted the grown man at the sixteen year old. He then remembered what he had to do. This would prove if he was an avatar or not.
"What are you guys doing to me? This isis wrong! You are supposed to help people! Let me go!!!!", Vayne shouted out. He was restrained by another guard in a seperate room.
Rafael mustered up courage and brought the stone. It was the revelator, a litmus test to check whether someone had a fruit or not. He was grasping the glowing blue gem as if his life depended on it.
When held by someone without a fruit, a null, it would glow blue. However, when a Champion held it, it would glow the most beautiful colors. Changing color magnificently, representing almost all colors of the spectrum.
Vayne looked at the stone as if it was garlic to his vampiric soul. The public usually doesn't know about the stone and many other methods of the Champions. Even such low-risk and cheap items like the stone.
The other guard forcible held out Vayne's hand and they forced him to possess it. The stone was glowing with the tinge of the sea, the oceans and the beautiful unknown. It did not change. He was a null.
The deep, dark fear in Rafael's mind was purged. He was simply cursed, not **THE AVATAR!** Thank Thanu for this blessing! If he was the Beast reincarnated, the blue glow would turn black, ruining the stone. The text never lies.
"You are free to go, kid. Stay out of danger. You are just a null like us. Don't show your face here ever again."
Vayne could not process what the hell just happened. His mind was in a clutter. The trust and respect he had for this great and grand organisation was shattered. What just happened? This must be another dream. He tried to console himself but that was impossible now. These people also don't believe in him. Nobody does. Not even his family, not even Rhea. Who would? He had no proof of anything. It felt as if he was possessed, unable to think logically. He felt sad.

He walked out. Got in the voidvater, void of emotions on his face. He was alone. No-one stood with him. He has to save everyone. It was the most helpless he had ever felt. Even when told about his hands being hurt forever, never being able to be fully healed. He was able to do most things but couldn't move it well and it pained. Even when everyone looks at him weird and considers him a monster. He never truly lost hope, until then.
He somehow dragged himself out of the building. He began questioning everything and what even mattered. How could he help catch that villain?
Swooooshhh!
Something flew by. A huge clatter was heard, as if two trains wrecked into each other. He turned towards the noise. A man, the size of an elephant, was fighting a shirtless skinny little guy.
The gargantuan human lifted his fist up and, with a wicked smile, struck it down on the poor man with full might. His attack sent breezes everywhere. His clenched fist, a giant hammer striking down on a porcelain sculpture, struck.
Everyone was shaken up. Suddenly, the giant caught on fire. A great flame grew on him as the small man laughed at him. The humongous gentleman was turned into a crisp within five seconds. All spectators viewed the horror.
Suddenly, someone exclaimed, "That is HellFyre! An A-list champion!"
Everyone began chattering and murmuring about this great Champion who had just saved everyone from the giant, one who attacked him in front of the goddamn League Head Office!
There are not many champions in this world, less than one percent of the population. They are categorised in lists, based on their powers and significance. The top list is the S-List, whose top was owned by the Unpossible Man, before he was incapacitated.
Vayne obviously knew him. He was a new A-Lister. Vayne looked at his fire. It was different from the tributary fire but was the flame of another fire god, Fezar. He felt a little ember spark in his soul. He could ask him for help. Vayne approached him.
"Hello sir! I am in need of your help! I know the whereabouts of The Void! The people at the Intel Department are not paying heed to me. I want hel-"
"Stay away kid, you will get burnt haha. You got proff?"
"No, but I saw him in a vision! I can see him!"
"What? A vision? Hahhahaahhaahha! Lemme check if you got an attribute or no..."
The man took out his torch and lit it on Vayne. The rays became blue. The man showed some disappointment and disgust. A damn null.
"A fucking null! AMAR TAKE THIS KID AWAY FROM ME!"
A bulky man, Amar, grabbed Vayne and tried to drag him away. This was the second time this had happened to him that fucking day. He would not take it. He snapped at Amar and slapped his wrist. Amar got mad and slapped Vayne hard in the face.
Vayne tried to struggle against this tall man but it was useless. With tears in his eyes, Vayne began shouting. He yelled at them and at the League, calling them incompetent and fake. Another slap connected his face.
Vayne passed out. Amar was a soldier, who was removed from duty because of anger issues. HellFyre had recruited him as his brawns and his bodyguard. His strength is said to parallel Gono Elephants.
Vayne felt a burning sensation. He could feel the immense heat as the fire consumed him. He could feel the blackness of his mind turn to the void. It was happening again.
He was plunged into the abyss.
