BAM!

“You asshole! I’m going to fucking kill you!”

Standing by the door was a creature towering with a whopping eight-inch height, with stubs for limbs, caked in colorful make-up, covered in fluffy purple fur and enraged red eyes; the great Archduke Greed Demon Apophis arrived seeking revenge at the human that sold it out to the devils that toyed with him the entire day.

Theo looked at Apo and let out a laugh, “Nice bow.”

Apophis was already angry but hearing his contempt brought forth the inner demon he had suppressed, “That’s it! It’s killing time!”

Apophis’ figure shot towards Theo. He swung his claws and aimed for his neck.

Tap!

Yet all his strength was stopped by the tip of a fountain pen. Theo yawned as he caught the enraged Apophis and placed him on the table, “You good?”

Though he was still hyperventilating, Apophis’ reddened eyes slowly transformed back to their original purplish hue, “No, I still want to kill you.”

“Well, try not to hurt yourself in the process. I also feel your pain, and I can’t concentrate on what I’m doing. You're not any good for physical activities so try use.” Theo stated as he went over a folder detailing numerous researches and trials of someone's blood.

"What got you so serious?"

“Hmm? Oh, it's because of this strange poison. The effects are similar to Purple Chasm Poison, but instead of the veins, it is the heart that’s the source of the corrosion, so no matter how much they attempt to get rid of the poison by cleansing, another wave would take its place.”

“Is that the poison that afflicted your mother?” Apo asked.

“You know about my mother?” Theo’s eyes suddenly turned to glare, “If you have anything to do with this, I swear to the almighty me that will find a way to kill you—”

“It’s your sisters who rambled about it before falling asleep. Their curiosity is a nightmare. They tried to cast several illusions on me, but I have to say, they are likable. Also, I’d advise you to invest in them; their illusions are far more complex than anything I have encountered.”

“It’s harder to distinguish it from reality. They almost fooled me once. Only because of their breathing that I noticed they were there.” Theo praised, "If they mature, they'll be able to immobilize an army."

“That’s right. Their resonance is especially mind-boggling, they are a perfect match, and whatever their Gifts are, it’s complimentary. Only if they know how to manifest them more subtly, then they’d be someone you wouldn’t want to face.” Apo commented.

“Don’t worry; they’re good and smart girls. With proper guidance, they’d be able to match a Fae. Though I heard they don’t want to go to the academy without Titus.” Theo nonchalantly stated before getting a piece of paper and listing various plants and materials.

"What's that for?" Apo curiously asked.

"The composition of the poison is too complicated for me to make an antidote at this time. I still need time to make a proper antidote or find the bastards who poisoned my mother. So, for now, I'll create an inhibitor and keep it contained for the time being."

Listening to Theo, Apophis almost puked at his stupidity, "Get the fuck out of the way and give me the pen. You're going to kill your Mother."

"What? Don't tell me you know the antidote for this? I thought you said you didn't have a hand in this?"

"I don't, but that doesn't mean I don't know the poison; don't forget I am of the Poison Dragon lineage, so I have a vast knowledge about poison."

"For an Imoogi, you're quite reliable."

"Call me an Imoogi again, and I'll stop."

"Please continue, oh so great, Poison Dragon." Theo didn't hesitate to lower himself before such expertise.

"Good." Apo was satisfied.

"So, what is my Mother afflicted with?"

"First of all, this is not the Purple Chasm Poison. Close, but no. It's an extremely rare and lethal poison called the Gray Heart Symphony. A hybrid between a poison and a curse."

Apo spoke heavily, and Theo stood there, dumbfounded, "Wait, isn't that made from a Black Wraith?"

"You know about them?"

Theo nodded with a heavy heart.

The Black Wraiths are a creature of True Darkness, the opposite of the Fae. They are worst than vengeful spirits and are more often than not artificially created.

He went so low only three times, even in Theo's previous lives.

"Even in the Underworld, because souls are rare to come by. But in this world, they "

"I see... wait, did you plan on turning me into a Black Wraith? You disgust me."

"Hey, I'm a Demon. We're only living up to the tales you people made for us. Seen as a scourge, might as well be one."

Apo laughed, and Theo snorted in disgust.

"Anyway, you're given a pass to mistake this for Purple Chasm Poison because of its effects. However, it is rooted in the heart is a dead giveaway. But do not worry, if treated without proper care, the blood will turn dark red, purple, black, and then gray " The Floof took the pen and began writing out of spite, "Your mother is in the Black Blood Purple Light stage and is transitioning to the obsidian stage. But your Saint's Light cleansed it back to Purple Blood Red light stage. I’d say we have enough time, but the poison being suppressed often result in a stronger outburst so, I wouldn’t get my hopes up."

Apo finished writing the paper, and Theo took it from its paws and then rewrote it from the Forgotten Tongue to the present Continental Language.

"Tsk." Apo clicked his tongue in disdain.

"Can it, you Demons were locked up in the Underworld. You don't get a say that they abandoned your language and culture."

Apo snorted at his words, but he couldn't say anything to refute Theo's claims. They did lose, so what else could he say?

"Oh yeah? If we're forgotten and abandoned, how come you know so much about the Underworld?"

Theo showed Apo a saddened smile and laughed at himself, "You don't want to know."

But Apo just smirked at Theo, "Then you also don't want to know the final material I left out in that paper?"

"... I'm not going to tell you how I learned about the Forgotten Era."

"What? You're too self-absorbed, you know that? Who cares about you? No, what I want is a stronger body. This little body is too weak for me; I demand to be stronger!"

Apo was the Archduke of Greed Demons; to be trapped in a weak body was nothing short of humiliating.

"Tsk, that's too much of a hurdle, but I'll accept. Wait, how about we strike a better deal? Not only will I teach you a way to get stronger, but I'll even give you some Draconic Powers."

"Draconic Powers?" Apo's ears twitched, his poofy tail wagged from side to side.

"Yeah, I'll give you Draconic Attributes, and from now on, you take care of putting up protective barriers?"

"I don't know. That sounds a little too much~"

"Then forget about i-"

"DEAL! I'll take care of the protective barrier from now on! But, only if you can give me that Draconic Attribute this month."

"I accept your terms." Apo turned away from Theo, snickering to himself, 'Look at this fool. For just taking care of the protective barrier, I get Draconic Attribute? Hah! What an idiot!'

But Theo was also laughing to himself, 'Heh, what a deal. And here I am already planning on giving it to him soon. He just had to take up some more responsibilities.'

The two laughed, thinking they were using each other.

"Okay, now what's the final ingredient?"

"Star Arcanist Mythril." Apo nonchalantly answered.

"You have got to shitting me." Theo cursed but got ignored by Apo daydreaming about his future.

Murmuring, "Dragon Fire - Dragon Scales - Dragon Wings! Heheheheh!"

Theo sighed, seeing Apo too distracted to think up a lie. Without any more words to say, he abruptly got up and put on the cloak he hid underneath his desk.

“You going somewhere?” asked Apo.

“Hmm? Oh yeah, I met a stacked idiot. I need money to create the bloody cure for my mother. Not only the Star Arcanist Mythril, but the other things in this thing is too expensive for my family and me, so I’m going over to blackmail her now. Why, wanna come?”

“…I heard you didn’t like infidelity? Why are you going to meet a stacked woma—ACK!

“Ack!”

Theo flicked Apo, and the both of them felt the pain!

“You bloody idiot, if you wanna hurt me, spare me the bruises and do it on yourself!” Apo complained.

“I meant stacked with money. If you’re horny, go to the Forest. A lot of Floof gather there.”

“You bastard, I’d get you for the—wa-wait! Ah! What are you doing!?” Shouted Apo as Theo lifted him by the head.

"I need you to make a protective barrier for me. I'm too weak to blackmail someone without demonic energy." Theo then jumped out of the window and left to blackmail a girl.

As the two Demons left the Manor… soon, the space near the doors shifted.
