Hello! My name is Morgan Fay. I apologize for any awkwardness that you might see; I'm an introvert, you see. But that's not what I wanted to say. Now, I would cough into my hand before continuing. Do you know what is the most popular legend on today's internet? Well, either way, it goes like this: if you are still a virgin by the age of thirty, you will become a wizard. It's true, as unbelievable as it sounds. Let that sink in for a moment. All good? No? What about now? Okay...
Are you interested? Because I would be. Allow me to assume that you are too. Let me tell you what I did with my newfound wizard powers. I isekai'd myself and even gave myself a HUD, or a heads-up display. It was something I fantasized about ever since my teenage years due to the media I consumed—both anime and manga, as well as light novels. Sadly, I died almost immediately because of something as stupid as luck. It came in the form of a dragon, a black dragon to be exact, which burned me alive—a fate worse than death. A horrifying experience that I wouldn't wish on even my mortal enemy. However, that was not the end as thankfully, I was reincarnated into the same world. This is my manly story!
“It’s a girl!” What do you mean it’s a girl, I thought. I am a man!
“Gugugaga!” What I meant to say was, “I am a boy!”
“Look, honey!” A woman with a perfectly beautiful face said. “Our daughter is trying to say something!” My new mother—she was more beautiful than even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Margaret Qualley, Zendaya, Priyanka Chopra, Beyoncé, Emma Watson, Margot Robbie, Gal Gadot, Scarlett Johansson, or even Angelina Jolie!
"Your husband has fainted, madam!" It was true—a handsome man was lying unconscious on the floor. He was my new father, presumably. If the midwife was not lying about that, then why was she lying about my gender? There was no way that I was a woman! No way, I tell you! No way! No way! No way!
"His loss!" My new mother was smiling from ear to ear, which made her already perfectly beautiful face even more radiant. "You are so cute, my little baby girl! I love you! I love you! I love you!"
Hearing someone say those three words – I love you, over and over again was embarrassing, even more so since I have never heard them in the last thirty years of my life. But! I am your little baby boy at worst! Your manly son at best! But never what you just said—mama… I couldn't help but blush.
----------------------------------------
The first year of my new life was as boring as, I don't know, maybe prison? I was locked in a crib, with someone always watching me, whether it was my mother, father, or a servant. They would talk to me, sure, but I couldn’t talk back since I was an infant and all. Still, I learned a lot of things from them, such as the name of the world – Gaia, amongst other things. But nothing about magic. And there was magic, as there were dragons. I would be in trouble if there wasn’t, as it was my only solution to the gender problem I was facing. I needed to swap it, and as soon as possible.
From year two and beyond, I was let out of my prison, aka the crib, but I still couldn’t move about on my own. Someone was with me at all times; however, that didn’t stop me from exploring every room of my new home, which was a mansion and a big one at that. Well, of course, since my parents were nobles. My father was a retired adventurer, and my mother the heiress of the Evercrests which was one of the ten founding families, making both my parents the highest-ranking nobles of the entire human empire. I was basically a princess!
I found it – the library! It was enormous; I couldn’t believe just how many books there were. One of them held the knowledge that I sought; I was sure of it! But I couldn’t use it, and not because I wasn’t allowed. It was because I couldn’t read a single character—how did I understand the language but couldn’t read it? I had to learn as fast as possible. But it was hard, much harder than Japanese, and Japanese is, well, Japanese. All those damn kanji. Anyway, I learned the alphabet and tried reading again. But the books were too difficult; I had to continue learning, as my manhood depended on those books.
----------------------------------------
When I was thirteen, I finally had a good grasp of the language, and my two longest years began. Reading, reading, and even more reading until finally, I found it, a very special book!
It was about warlocks, how they made contracts with demons, and how those demons granted desires. I was going to do it; I will get rid of what makes me a woman of all things, and regain my pride as a man! Snorting with determination.
----------------------------------------
I had prepared everything from the summoning circle to an altar, but maybe my choice of day was questionable, as today was my eighteenth birthday. How am I suddenly eighteen? While the reading of ‘WARLOCKS 101’ didn’t take me too long – yes, that is its actual name, the required steps were quite difficult. I had to draw a perfect summoning circle, find thirteen candles of varying and specific heights, make thirteen eerie demonic symbols, learn all the incantations and chants of some language that I couldn’t understand a word of, prepare various offerings, worship the demon king for six hundred sixty-six consecutive days, ready a ceremonial knife soaked in the blood of a virgin, and finally, finally make an altar meeting the exact requirements which were absurd.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
I closed my beautiful green eyes, taking in a slow deep breath, and began, “Qartsga csarha dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Vitae suscipit tellus mauris a diam maecenas sed enim ut. Non arcu risus quis varius quam. Sed enim ut sem viverra aliquet eget sit amet tellus. Placerat orci nulla pellentesque dignissim enim sit amet venenatis urna. Euismod lacinia at quis risus sed vulputate odio. Scelerisque eleifend donec pretium vulputate sapien nec sagittis aliquam. Proin sed libero enim sed faucibus. Fermentum odio eu feugiat pretium. Tortor dignissim convallis aenean et tortor at risus viverra.” I didn’t understand a word of what I just said, but so what? It was working—candles lit up one after another and burned not in the usual flame but a black one, made out of all-devouring darkness; the symbols cracked until shattering, purple smoke pouring out of them, and the temperature of my room dropped below freezing. Then, a demonic voice sounded. “Let us taste your blood!” It was not singular but a chorus of thousands, if not more. “And state your desire!”
I picked up the ceremonial knife from the altar, which was now engulfed in an evil aura, and slit my palm with no hesitation—good thing, because it fucking hurt. “Make me a man!”
“I will grant it!” Now there was only a singular voice. “But in return, you will resurrect the demon king or as you humans call him – Maou!”
“Deal!” I was not thinking about anything or anyone but myself, which was new considering how we introverts are. Uhmmm… I’ll leave it at that…
The summoning circle in its entirety became a black hole, consuming every and all offerings that I had prepared. “They are enough, but barely!” Following those words, I felt something familiar in my panties —I don’t want to talk about it—and saw a female, a demoness who was unlike any woman that I ever laid my eyes upon. She was even more beautiful than my mama; perfect in every way with her scarlet red hair and eyes, demonic horns as well as wings, but surprisingly, she had no tail to speak of, which made me get a hard-on. Not because she didn’t have a tail. Other things too.“I, Lilith form a contract with you, Medb. I have replaced your genitalia with a man’s and you already know what I want in return. Do you accept? If you don’t or fail to uphold your part of the deal, your soul is forfeit!”
“I accept!” I hastily said, breathing out a sigh of relief afterward. But what about the rest of my body? I still have breasts and whatnot...
Lilith nodded her head and said, “First things first, we need to form a pact. There are three types: a lesser pact, a greater pact, and a full pact. Each pact bestows upon you a grimoire, but that’s where the similarities between them end. If we form the lesser pact, I will only infuse twenty percent of my strength into your grimoire, and for every soul you drain, you get to keep eighty percent of the mana while I take the remaining twenty percent. With this pact, you will fail to uphold your part of the deal. Onto the greater pact, if we form it, I will infuse half of my strength into your grimoire, and we will share the mana from souls fifty-fifty. If we make this pact, there is a chance that you might be able to uphold your part of the deal, but it's unlikely. And last but not least is the full pact. I will infuse my entire strength into your grimoire, and I will also turn you into a cambion. This pact is your only option, really. So, what will it be?”
My eyes were shining with excitement. I couldn’t wait to make my choice, but what choice was that? It was between the greater pact and the full pact. I want the fully powered grimoire, but I don’t want to become a cambion! Maybe I can bargain? “And if I want a grimoire infused with your entire strength but don’t want to become a cambion?
“The pact you are proposing is not fair,” Lilith shook her head. “To be fair again—full pact alteration: one, I will infuse my entire strength into your grimoire, and we will share soul’s mana thirty to seventy. Full pact alteration: two, I will infuse my entire strength into your grimoire, and recommend you to the demon king. He will make you his minion; you can be certain of that.”
“Oh…” I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t disappointed because I was as I was expecting her to maybe offer herself? You can blame my introverted virgin brain for that. “The first one.”
“Very well,” Lilith said. “But you are losing out.”
Heard that one before! I thought before smiling. From where? When my peers at the university offered me drugs and I said no.
“What kind of grimoire do you want? Lilith asked. “A weapon grimoire that you can turn into any weapon of your choice or a magic grimoire."
I want the one with which I could kill a dragon! But I could never say that out loud, me being an introvert and all…
Lilith gave me an enthralling smile. “You can kill a dragon with both.”
“What?” My thoughts mirrored my words. “What?”
“I can’t read your mind,” Lilith, in just a slight motion, appeared in my personal space. “But your desires are another story.” Her mesmerizing scarlet red eyes pierced me; it was as if before them I was laid bare. Gulping down my saliva because I couldn’t help it, as this was the closest a woman had been to me, apart from my mama, that is. Her smell was intoxicating. I was in a daze, frozen.
KNOCK! KNOCK! “It’s time for your birthday party, young lady Medb!”
