Mana Veins, the basic techniques for using mana revolve around veins in your body that run around your blood vessels allowing you to manipulate mana. Even the most common person has mana veins though they are usually really small.
Wizards and Sorcerers on the other hand practice with mana enough to stretch the veins out to make it easier to cast more advanced spells with less of a personal mana cost relying on transfer of world energy through their mana veins.
On rare occasions there are people who are born with no mana veins but usually those people have a longer lifespan than common people as they are not subjected to mana diseses or spell malfunction, but as one is unable to use mana they can only live mediocre lives in any field.
Daniel's POV
I open the doors. I blink a couple of times for my eyes to adjust, in the middle of the room is a couple dim lights and a crystal ball, there sitting the principal in a dark blue robe.
"I heard you got, a great score in both the Power test and Control test Mr. Debiles. You must have a pretty stong mana vein to have that much power and control already. with you being only..." He flips through a small notebook "!6 years old is it?"
"Yes, Sir" I reply
"Well take a seat, we are going to test you now" Says the principal.
"Put your hands on the Crystal and flow your mana through to your other hand, the light that shows is your power."
I put both my hands on the crystal being quite worried. Suddenly I hear a noise from the system.
Ding! fragment is reactive to [Mana Crystal]
[Mana Crystal is resonating with fragment, prepare for impact]
Impact? what impac-
BOOM! The mana Crystal exploded in front of me, shards of a glass rain on the principal and I, as the dim lights shatter as well.
Now in near total darkness I cast {Light} instinctively
A ball of light shines in my hands.
"Sorry Principal I didn't mean to-"
"Wonderful! That was brilliant! You managed to explode a mana reactive crystal! How much mana do you have to do that? Nevermind your in!" The principal is ecstatic and mindblown as he claps his hands in excitement.
"Wait, I'm in?! Really?!" I say in amazement.
"Of course you are, you passed all three tests with flying colors! Your going straight to the honors classes as well!" Says the principal a little calmer.
While the Principal seems to begin to calm down I begin to jump in excitement. I got in! I got in to the biggest magical arts school in the world! The principal begins to chuckle.

"Now go on through the white door to get your uniform and school supplies."
"Yes Sir!" I shout and run on through to the white door.
Opening it I come to a nurse like lady who asks if I passed, I tell her "With flying colors" and she smiles and hands me a box.
"Inside is your uniform, a wand, and your spell book, with some hygiene supplies as well. Don't forget to brush your teeth" She says kindly.
I thank her and go out through the door.
"WOOOHOOO" I begin to run around on the entrance field in happyness. Occasionally doing some cartwheels too. Laying on my back on the field I lay there for what feels like forever before I hear Toel in my head.
[I know your happy and all, but you better get up and go to the entrance ceremony soon]
I jolt up.
"Your right, I got to hurry if I am to make it in time."
I rush to the front doors of the academy. rushing in I take a seat.
...A full lecture later...
"...And so you are free to take the courses that interest you but you must take control class at least once a week, and with that you students are free to go..."
I decide to go to the dormotories and find my room, i got a card with the words "207" on it. I get to the dorms and go to the second floor soon finding my room. there is already someone inside.
"Hello? Is this room 207?" I ask cautiously
"Yeah Just choose a spot, no one else is here yet." Says the boy.
"Hi I'm Daniel...How are you?" I plop onto one of the beds across from the boy and ask.
"Jake, and Its a pleasure to meet you Daniel, and I'm going good." Says Jake.
I go and lay back in bed, thinking of the classes to take and what to do tomorrow.
"Hey Toel?"
[Yeah?]
"What should I do now?"
