Hey everyone I'm glad people are actually liking my new story. Some people have said they don't like the fact that Antonio has changed his whole view of slavery in just a few chapters and if that is your opinion that's fine. I take all kinds of criticism. If you continue reading I hope you get to know the characters and give the story a shot. 4 or 5 chapters of a story is definitely not enough to condemn or praise a story. Anyway I don't want to bore with my tirade. Enjoy the next chapter.

Chapter 7

Three weeks have passed since the group began their community. Antonio was standing at the window in his bedroom. He looked back and saw the two beautiful women lying in his bed. Next, he stared out the window and saw numerous houses that had been built. People now had places to live where they could be protected against the elements. Now the carpenters were working on constructing a wall to protect the community.

I guess Jazmine and I helping the carpenters actually was a great benefit. We finished all of the homes and the practice weapons a week earlier than schedule. Jazmine and I also got the carpenter job which made it much easier to do the work.

Antonio looked over and saw that now there was a road that went around the entire community.

It is amazing how everyone bonded together so quickly and got the work done. Now it is time for me to check my status.

Two weeks of working has improved my strength, endurance and dexterity plus some of my combat skills but now my combat group and I need some actual combat experience. Since I gained experience killing the assassins that should mean we will gain experience hunting things in the wood for their leather.

Antonio got dressed and woke up the ladies then they headed to the training grounds. There they found  2 of their group already practicing. Their names were Theresa and Alexander, they were the two that showed the most promise as archers.

“Hey! I guess you two were getting an early start on your training”, said Jazmine

“Yeah, I got a skill called focus shot yesterday. It helps me be more accurate with my shots. It is slow but it does a lot more damage”, replied Alexander.

“Yeah I also learned a skill called rapid shot. It lets me shoot arrows in rapid succession but my accuracy is not as high”, said Theresa.

“Those sound like great skills, I’m happy that our training has paid off.”

Hmmm… now I’m a guardian so I can attack the enemy head on with my defense. Elizabeth and Jazmine with their swordplay should be able to do damage to the enemy from the rear. These two can deal damage at range. Now we just need some kind of way to recover some damage in the field.

“Antonio! Antonio! I did it!”, said a red haired woman as she ran up.

“What did you do, Sophie?” asked Antonio

“I was able to learn magic. This morning after reading that book you gave me over and over and over it happened. I gained mana and I am able to use 2 water based magic spells called water jet and cure”, said Sophia.

“Really!? That is excellent! I want you to practice that when we spar. I want you to use it to heal any and all injuries no matter how small after we finish.”

“Ok I can do that”, replied Sophia

“By the way did you gain a class since you gained the ability to cast magic spells?”, asked Jazmine

“No, I haven’t gotten a class yet”, replied Sophia

The rest of the people began to walk up. Once they all showed up they all began their training regimens. It began with everyone doing pushups until failure. This was followed by squats with a heavy piece of wood on their shoulders. After that they did situps until failure then jumping jacks until failure. Lastly they ran until exhausted and then began the cycle again. This continued for 5 cycles.

You gained +3strength and +5 endurance from your physical training.

Once they finished the group began their training with weapons. Elizabeth and Jazmine used dual swords. Three of the men used great swords.  3 ladies used two daggers. There were 3 archers and 3 sword and shield users including Antonio. All of them grabbed their wooden practice weapons and began practicing on the wooden dummies that Antonio and Jazmine had made a week ago.

After about an hour of practicing combo attacks on the dummies the group had a sparring session. The combatants had to continue fighting until they were struck 3 times in one round. If you were you had to leave and then another fighter would take your place. There were 2 rings going on at the same time. The warriors battled furiously all except Sophia. She sat back and healed those who received injuries. The sparring session went on for about 2 hours until all of them were exhausted.

You gained +1 to your dexterity and your sword mastery gained +1.

These guys have improved dramatically. Now they are actually landing hits on me. No one landed more than one so far but it is good practice for both parties when they spar against me. I think we are ready for our first expedition into the forest. I think we can go into the forest with these wooden weapons.

“Everyone rest up and recover your strength. After we are rested, we are heading into the forest so that we can gain some real combat experience.”

Everyone raised their weapons and cheered.  

After about an hour of resting the group got up and went towards the woods.  They stood in a diamond shape. Antonio and the 2 other sword and shield users led in the front side by side. Antonio actually had his metal sword and shield and he gave the other metal shield from the carriage was given to one of the other shield users. Jazmine, Elizabeth, and the 3 dagger users were on his right. Jazmine had one practice sword and one metal sword. The 3 archers were in back while the lone healer was behind the archers. Finally the two great sword users were on his left who both had metal greatswords were on his right.

They walked slowly through the woods and the encountered about a 2 dozen beasts that looked like a rat but it was about twice as large. Antonio used his observe skill on the rats.

These things are not that strong in groups they should be able to take them on. I believe me and Jazmine could defeat 1 on 1 or maybe 2 on 1 but we need the everyone to gain experience so I’ll split them up into groups.

“Alright split up into 3 groups. Each group should have a shield user with an archer and someone to do damage. I want the healer to stay back out of combat”, said Antonio

The groups organized as they were asked. Theresa’s group attacked. She used rapid fire. The arrows rained down. Some hit the rats doing damage. The rats furiously attacked. The shield user began yelling and screaming at the rats. His loud noise attracted the rats to him. He continued yelling as they attacked him but they could not penetrate his shield defense. The dagger users moved in and began attacking the rats while they attacked the shield user. They quickly defeated the group.

Meanwhile, Alexander’s group had also begun fighting. Alexander started off with his focus shot. It hit and immediately killed one of the rats. Seeing the death of one of their won the rest of the rats attacked. The shield user in this group did the same he began making noise but his tactic was not as effective as the one in the Theresa’s group. The enemies managed to attack some of the others but the greatsword users slashed the rats with their swords making short work of the vermin.

Finally, the most efficient group was Antonio’s. The worst of the archers fired off an arrow. It missed badly but it did draw the attention of the rats. Antonio went into action and began drawing the attention of the rats by yelling and screaming at them.

Shield mastery increased a level

You learned the skill tauntTaunt allows you to divert the attention of any enemy to you.

As he kept them at bay with his shield, Jazmine and Elizabeth quickly killed the vermin. Their slashes were quick and deadly. After a few moments all of the rats were dad.

You gain a level

“How was that everyone?” asked Antonio

“Great!”, the group yelled in unison.

“Alright, Sophia make sure you take care of any injuries as they occur in battle. In order to do that you will have to carefully watch the entire battlefield. Everyone else gather around.”

The group came around him as he knelt down over one of the rat corpses. He took is sword and began removing the skin from the rat. Some of the women became ill and vomited.

“I’m sorry that it seems barbaric but we need to get the leather from these animals. We can also take the meat back in order to feed Magnus and his pups. Lastly we can learn about these things from see their insides. By knowing where their organs are you can attack their vital points as to be more efficient in killing them.”

The group nodded and they all did the same.

After Antonio had skinned 3 rats he got a notification.

Once the group had finished they took the leather and placed it into a bag each of them was carrying others carried the meat.

“Antonio it is getting dark, I think we should return home as more powerful and dangerous enemies come out when it gets dark. Plus we don’t have any way to see in the dark”, said Jazmine.

“I agree let’s call it a day. Everyone, let’s return home.”

The group cheered and they turned around and began walking home. Once they returned the combatants with the meat went to Cid and gave it to him for Magnus and his pups. Antonio collected all of the bags with leather and headed towards the well. Horace the archer who performed poorly followed close behind.

Antonio gathered several buckets of water and placed some of the rat hides into the water. He let them begin to soak. As he worked, Horace began to speak.

“Um… Antonio can I talk to you for a moment?” asked Horace

“Sure, what would you like to talk about?” said Antonio

“Well…. I don’t think I am going to be any use with a bow is there anything else that I could do?”

“Well look at your stats which is the highest one?

Horace pulled up his status screen and began going through the information.

“Intelligence is my highest stat followed by wisdom.”

“Well as far as I know the best job for someone with high intelligence and wisdom should be a mage.”

“You mean I should try to learn to use magic?”

“Yes, go to Sophia and get the book that I gave here. Try reading it and see what happens. If I am correct you will be able to learn magic and still be of use in combat.”

“Thank you, Antonio”, said Horace as he ran towards Sophia’s home.

Alright these should be about ready now.

Antonio took the pieces of rat hide he had soaking and then began to rub his blade back and forth on them. As he rubbed his blade more and more of the hair and meat that was still attached was removed until the hide was completely smooth. Then he place more pieces in the water and repeated the process until all of the pieces were finished.

You have learned the job tannerTanning allows you to create pieces of leather from beast hides.

This is good. Now I need to create some sort of bags that allow us to gather more materials. Once we have enough leather we can start making leather equipment. I think after that we will be able to take on the goblins. If we defeat them, we will have a mine. With the mine we can make metal weapons and armor for everyone.

Antonio took the leather to Karen to see what she could do with the leather. He walked into her room and found that she was cleaning up.

“Hey Antonio”, said Karen

“Hey Karen, how have you been?”

“I’ve been great! I just got a rank up for my tailoring skill when it reached level 100 the other day. I got the specialty of armor making.”

“That’s great! We could really use that. Before we can get you do that we will need something to carry more hides back here. Can you make some bags that we could use to carry more materials back from hunting?”

“I think I can do something like that.”

“One more thing, when you make them can you make some that are large some that are medium sized and some that are relatively small.”

“You are asking a lot but it will give it a try”, said Karen with a smile.

Antonio left the leather with Karen and walked out into the hallway. It was dimly lit by candles. Antonio began checking the rooms in the house one by one. He found a room a room that contained the previous master’s treasury. There were several hundred gold coins along with some beautifully colored jewels. On the wall Antonio saw the golden armor and sword used by Master Sky in their battle.

Yes I think I will definitely use these when we go into battle again. I can give someone else the sword I am currently using. Now our battle strength has increased again.

He checked a few more rooms but found nothing of importance. Then the last room he found a library filled with books.

Hmmm… this would be good for Horace and Sophia. I will also begin spending time in here as it will be on opportunity for me to learn more about this world, its customs, and the mysteries that it contains. Alright now it is time to go to bed.

Antonio checked his stats once more before going to bed.

I’m definitely growing from all of this training. I wonder how everyone else is doing? I really do need to increase my ability to cast magic. I may have to use it during battle to train it up. Alright time for bed.

Antonio walked into his room to find his two ladies already in bed. Their sensual silhouettes were shown in the dancing light of the candles that were burning. Antonio stripped down and entered the bed. The two ladies wasted no time and began kissing Antonio all over. Jazmine lowered her mouth below his waist and inserted him in. Antonio’s legs began to tighten as she moved up and down. Meanwhile, Elizabeth sat her ample rear on Antonio’s face. He began licking and kissing as she screamed and moaned. The group changed position several times as they gave each other pleasure. Finally, the group all began moaning at once and then Antonio exploded. This time it was inside of Jazmine.

“Oh that feels great!”, said Jazmine.

“I want it inside me too” said Elizabeth.

“Whatever my lovely ladies want”, said Antonio

Elizabeth moved over and breathed life back into Antonio’s lovestick and the group began their dance again. In the end it culminated with Antonio released his juices inside of Elizabeth. Antonio rolled over and laid flat on his back. The two ladies rested in their normal positions on either side of his chest. Antonio closed his eyes and fell asleep.
