The Human race of Earth has unwittingly been conscripted by the League of Heroes to be cannon fodder in their games. Every month, 100,000 humans will be randomly selected and sent to the planar battlefield to serve as the minions under a team of Heroes, immortal beings of great power bent on defeating their enemies in order to please the audience. Lee Xin was also a forsaken one, the term for those summoned to the battlefield. Lucky for him, he was one of the first humans to learn an ability, the mark of an aspiring Hero.
