Gabrielle kept on experimenting, but as night came, Gabrielle acted. Gabrielle has a bit of trauma of night, as his family was wealthy enough to be targeted by some bad people, specifically kidnappers.
Ransom was obvious, even to 7 year old Gabrielle, so he knew what was happening as his family didn't try to keep him pure or anything like that. So he knew how terrible the world was, even though it was a good decision on their part, it might've contributed to Gabrielles distrust of everyone he didn't know. Also, he was pretty impressionable, well a bit abnormally impressionable, as he watched many different types of media.
But how he and his family knew he was abnormally impressionable, was when they and he realised that was how he started seeing the world, the way action movies and many different types of media that said that people were terrible and the world was terrible. So Gabrielle was accidentally matured a bit much for his peers, so sometimes it was hard to be friends with him or for him, hard to be friends with anyone else.
So already, he was distrusting of people around him, but it became worse when he realised that the man, or people who kidnapped him, were actually the co-workers of his father, but Gabrielle knew they were shady from the start when he saw them. This just proved to Gabrielle that his already made claims of humanity being terrible was correct.
Since then, he was a very light sleeper and even the slightest creek or movement near him when was sleeping caused him to wake up ready to do whatever he needs to escape. So that's where we are at the moment, with Gabrielle wide awake not being able to nap like the other children as there was always the people who were going around with trollies and the constant shaking of the train.
Then, Gabrielle had the bright of idea of wishing for being able to control time, just to sleep for however he wants then resume time and no time has gone by. Many have wanted to control time just so that could have more time to do the most smallest of things just because they were a nuisance, no Gabrielle can do that just because he can't sleep.
(That just reminded me of something, in Jojo's bizarre adventure, there are arrows called requiem arrows where if they stab you, and you already have a stand, that stand is then given another power, but that power is controlled by what the host desires the most, so theres a character where his identity is compromised and that process happens and he is given the ability to turn back time an hour and his fake son is the one who knows his identity, so when ever someone comes to his fake son to question him or his son does anything to help those people, those people are killed by an explosion and time is turned back an hour, and those people who died keep dying at that the time they were killed before...btw that was only to get rid of the risk of people finding out who he actually is...)
So Gabrielle stopped time and took the best sleep he's ever had in a while as there was no movement around and there was no sound to wake him up and he had his first REM sleep in 8 years. But, when he woke up, he woke up to the sight of some kind of dark mist creeping from under the doors of his compartment, he knew this was abnormal and not supposed to happen. Fear had taken over his mind and he started shaking, obviously his movement had triggered something inside the mist as it started to wiggle aggressively even more into the compartment.
Gabrielle tried his best to calm down and weigh his options, what he did to calm down was repeat his mantra, "Kill or be Killed", until it became a chant in his head as he wasn't that stupid to give even more information to whatever was outside.
Soon enough, or more specifically after repeating his mantra 100 times, he calmed down enough to remember one thing that would protect him from whatever or whoever ever even tried to do anything malicious towards, his wishes. Immediately he knew what to wish, but he made the wish even stronger as another thing he learned was "Expect the worst to come", and assumed there were even more of what was outside just waiting to do whatever malicious and terrible things he could think of in his head.
Gabrielle was of course filled with confidence albeit there still being fear of the unknown when he said, "I wish: I am immortal and absolutely nothing can kill me!" Then, just as he predicted, the thing would react to his voice.
*BAM*
Gabrielle recoiled back into the corner by instinct as his body still hasn't sunken in the fact that it was okay no matter what yet. What smacked or hit the door, as it was hard to tell due there being barely any sound, was a large, but skin-and-bones hand. The hand slowly went across the window of the door and more of it's form was shown, it's arm was covered in ragged, pitch-black cloth that just looked as if it would rip at a single touch.

*Screech*
The tension was leaping and bounding for Gabrielle, as a unknown creatue was now slowly opening his door in a way that made it sound like nails scratching a chalk board. Multiple things were going across Gabrielles mind at the speed of light, and only one of them were about how he would make it out alive.
Now that Gabrielle thought about it, it was quite cold, unlike when he went to sleep in the first place, a new thought sped across his mind, it was a theory that whatever it was looked like a dementor but that was debunked instantly as there was no way or a reason for one to slide the door open, and another reason that was even more obvious, dementors most likely couldn't travel through time and go into his stopped time!
*Clunk*
The door, or doors, were slid all the way to end and it was now just a empty doorway with a black mass that has skeletal hands and possibly skeletal arms or even body. At the moment, Gabrielle was trembling due either two reasons that even he couldn't decide on, one being that it was cold, the other being because he was scared. Hell, it could be both!
The black mass spoke, "Oh, this is quite curious, controlling time at most and being able to move in stopped time at least. Now I ask, what can you do?" the black mass spoke with an ice cold voice, which complimented it's surrounding temperature quite nicely.
Gabrielle mustered up the courage to not answer it's question, but to pose his own, "W-who a-are yo-you?" Gabrielle started his chanting again, but then again it was inside his own head.
The black mass lifted it's --or what Gabrielle thinks is a hood only to see a grey, dirt skull, "Oh, ok. Since I forgot to be polite and introduce myself first, I will do just that. My name, is Death. What's yours?" chills sped down Gabrielles spine and spread out to the rest of his body.
Gabrielle attempted to swallow down his own fear which partially succeeded and said, "My n-name is Gabrielle. Umm, I wish: Death can't do anything directly or indirectly to try and hurt me!" Gabrielle than yelled out in a desperate attempt and then sighed in relief.
Death, even though he had no facial muscles, Gabrielle could tell was very confused to what he had just done, "What are you doing?" Death floated or glided across floor but then started to move back.
Both Death and Gabrielle had been confused to why he just moved back, but then Gabrielle lightbulb lit up, "Everything near you dies, don't they?" Death reacted by nodding and then taking out a scythe and swiped --or at least he tried to swipe.
Gabrielle knew what he was trying to do and questioned Death, "Why are you trying to hurt me?"
Death of course scoffed and responded by, "I'm Death, what else do you expect from death itself." Gabrielle knew he was being mocked and decided to fight back.
Gabrielle said, "I expected a polite and intelligent being" with a tone seething with toxicity.
Death then again recoiled back as if he was hurt which was not his actual feeling, "Silver tongue you have." obviously not trying at all in this insult fight.
Gabrielle finally answered his first question, "Oh I almost forgot, I control time, if you were wondering." Gabrielle stopped Death in an extra layer of stopped time and then punched Death where his gut would be if he had one, then he right hooked Death in the face, and finally, he kicked the pelvis bone...just in case Death could feel stuff.
*CLACKCLACKCLACK*
Gabrielle then resumed back into the layer of stopped time Death was in and he went flying (like this "<") and disappeared in an explosion of black mist. Gabrielle has now learned two things from this little test, one thing was that Death was touchable and punchable, the other thing was that hits and punches were amplified and all hit at once when resumed. (again, that's a mechanism from Jojo bizarre adventure, the time stop stuff)
Gabrielle, not wanting to give another chance to Death to do anything, decided to just resume normal time and wait, as he already had gotten all the sleep he needed for the night possibly, just possibly, for the next day as this was the best sleep he's ever had in his whole lifetime of memories.
When Gabrielle resumed normal time, one of the people who rolled the trollies stopped by his compartment and asked, "Would you care for some sweets?" Gabrielles response was grabbing all of the cauldron cakes, he obviously didn't have that much money on him so he just silently wished for a little bag that had an unlimited amount of galleons and gave her a stack. She looked a bit shocked but maybe that was just because bags that acted like enchanted trunks were rare, or that's what Gabrielle thought.
Gabrielle severely enjoyed the cakes so he wished another bag that held an unlimited amount of cauldron cakes and enjoyed them the entire ride with nothing else to say other wise. Well that was should've happened but then he saw a toad jumping down the aisle and that definitely raised some questions for Gabrielle, but then he remembered that today was the day Harry Potter was going to be on the train.
When Gabrielle was about to go and get presumeably Neville's toad, a girl with bushy hair walked by and saw that he was about to get up and then screeched open the door, or just normally slid the door open.
The girl who was probably Hermione asked, "Have you seen a toad walk --I mean hop by?"
Gabrielle then told her, "Umm, I saw a toad just hop by in that direction." And pointed towards where the toad had hopped to which was to the right, and then she ran towards that direction.
What Gabrielle hadn't expected to hear was a door screech open and hear what seemed like Harry's and Ron's voices.
