Imrel wasn't mad. No, just disappointed —and maybe a little sad. She finished tiding up the paperwork, sitting at a massive obsidian desk.
"This is not what I've signed up for" -I didn't even want to come to hell. The only reason she is here filling up documents is because she wanted to be with her beloved. That's why she joined Izreal's crusade, as she learned that her love volunteered to come here. Imrel wanted to make sure everything would be alright and keep them both safe.
Just as she thought they could finally be together... This forsaken rebellion started.
With her love out there, somewhere in hell on a mission and her stuck here in the citadel... filling out papers. This truly is hell. She can't help but sigh. She has to stay here in case of an emergency and help Amantel since he is still recovering from his battle with the Prince of Terror. Until he is back in shape, she is stuck.
She stretches out her wings -working the desk was never her thing.
No matter how much she wants to go out there to join her love, her duty here is also important. And will see it done since she is already involved with the crusade. Not to mention keeping the rebels in check will help her beloved as well. The worrying part is she didn't hear anything about Iki since they all came here and she can't tell whether that is a good or bad sign.
Ever since Rimir invoked the Holy Word on that day, their job got a lot harder. She knows it was done with the best of intentions and likely saved Amatel and her -she still didn't like it and all the problem that came with such an act. The morale of their allies that has already been weak as it was -since we are dealing with hell here and let's not kid ourselves about their morals, took a huge hit back then. Many of their troops involved in that battle perished as well; even if the rebels got it worse. But the Prince was much more powerful than they anticipated. This close to the East Sea of Sin his power was too much for them, as he fueled his dreadful clouds directly with the miasma raising from it —But no one could foresee that one of the hell's top dogs would take part in a minor fight over some minor Spawn Groove. The fact that they managed to defeat the Prince was likely worth it, but... She can't help but worry.

Still, the East Sea was now gone, many on their side left and proclaimed neutrality. The only saving grace in this whole mess was the fact that with Terror weakened, the rebel forces were thrown into chaos as well. When the balance of power was broken, the infighting began. Their leadership had likely never trusted one another to begin with, and were always at each others throats ever since starting this silly war; now they took the opportunity to one up each other.
This allowed us to fortify our positions and at least for now, draw clear lines in this conflict.
As she was done, Imrel left the office to deliver the latest reports to the recovering Amantel. He was put in charge of this stronghold that keeps the remnants of the Clans in check. She hopes to learn if there was any news about her beloved while at it. There was noting in the documents she went over just now. The dream of one day leaving this wretched place together keeps her going. Sadly their mission comes first. Yes, she's just a bit sad.
Making her way through dark halls of the citadel she can't help but shiver at the memory of the Divine Light that was unleashed by Rimir's actions. It was a beautiful sight -not often does the Light shine on hell's damned lands and she truly misses the Light. That day, many demons saw the sun rise over hell for the first time in millennia. She recalls spotting an Imp standing on a hill far below where she was engaged in battle, also enjoying the view -the strangeness off it stuck with her for some reason. So they watched the dawn visit hell together for a bit. Likely the last thing it would ever see in its cursed life, but she couldn't stick around to see its demise as her fight wasn't over yet, the tables were about to turn. And it was just an Imp -annoying things. She hates dealing with their mischiefs.
She was sure the sight was worth it for the little creature. The effects of the Holy Word, when cast in the middle on the Sea of Sin, were breathtaking.
The fallout though... Well, now they have to deal with the consequences. She still smiles anyway, carrying the stack of papers that doesn't seem as heavy with bad news anymore.
She hopes for some good news from Amantel regarding her Loved, maybe someone had seen them.
One day...
