A day in my life

Hey guys! Arnold here. After many requests, I've finally decided to share a day in my life! Anyways, here goes!

Wake up super early!

Clean up room!

Go to the gym! (Gain those gains!)

Go home.

Take a shower.

Eat breakfast with my twin bro. (He's always so smiley)

Brush my teeth! (Dental hygiene is important, fr fr)

Drive to work!

Start programming!

Take a break.

Talk with the coworkers at the water cooler.

They laugh.

They keep laughing.

Confusion

Look at where they're pointing.

Look down.

I forgot my pants!

Other coworkers come because of the commotion.

They're all pointing and laughing.

They won't stop.

The roof shakes.

It's been teared off. My boss is standing there, tossing the roof aside. 60 ft tall as usual.

He points and with a voice with the fury of a thousand suns yells you're fired! The whole building shakes with each word.

Wake up!

Confusion about that dream.

Write down notes in the dream journal before I forget to analyze what it meant later.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

Clean up my room!

Go to the gym! (Gain those gains!)

Go home.

Take a shower.

Eat breakfast alone.

Brush teeth.

Drive to work.

Halfway there realize you never learned how to drive.

Realize you don't own a car.

Panic.

Swerve, hit car nearby, flip into the ditch. (do a barrel roll!)

Crawl out of the wreckage with the strength of the only functioning arm (can't feel my legs!)

Hear the crunch of footsteps on gravel coming closer.

Look up.

It's my twin with a huge cool rock and his usual smirk.

Realize something.

You don't have a twin. (Who the hell is this?)

He lifts rock high in the air then drops it on head (Sickening crunch!)

Wake up.

What the hells going on?

Write down dream in the dream journal.

Stare at it.

Realize.

You don't own a dream journal (Those things are dumb)

Dream starts to destabilize (cracks appear everywhere, chunks of reality get sucked into the void.)

Wake up!

Get out of bed.

The neighbors! Gotta go ask them for help!

Run out of the house.

No other houses anywhere.

Realize it's still a dream.

Dream destabalizes.

Wake up!

Windows missing in the room.

Realize.

Destabalizes.

Wake up!

Go to the basement.

Sink into the concrete floor.

Realize.

Destabalizes.

Wake up!

Scream!

Scream!

Scream!

Scream!

Scream!

Scream!

Grab your swiss army knife out of your desk.

Hold it near the throat.

Can't do it.

Mom kicks door open.

She asks what happened.

Hide knife in pocket.

Get up.

Tell her you're just having some weird nightmare that won't end.

She gives a hug. Close eyes in warm embrace. Finally calm down.

Ask, are you a real?

She gives a deep sigh. She says no.

Open eyes.

No ones there.

Everything in your room is gone. Eyes adjust to the dark. Look for light switch. There are none.

You hear it.

A horrible loud stomping sound coming from downstairs. Running around everywhere.

You go to the stairs.

Look down.

You see it.

A horrible smirk with glowing yellow eyes.

It screams.

Horrible loud stomps speeding up the stairs.

Yank the swiss army knife out of  pocket.

Stab hand.

Dream destabalizes.

Wake up.

Think.

What are the rules?

Number one. Check the time, look away, check again. If the time changes drastically each time, it's a dream.

Do this.

Dream destabalizes.

Wake up.

It works.

Grab a watch and tighten it on your arm for a quick exit if needed.

Get up.

Remember the second rule

Something to do with mirrors.

Go to the washroom.

Look in the mirror.

See reflection.

It's smirking.

It's laughing.

Feel face.

You're not laughing. Just a look of horror.

Hands tremble.

It grows taller.

Bones skinnier.

Eyes sunken.

Teeth rotten.

Black goo seeping out of it's eyes.

Whole form is jagged and crooked.

Remember the rule now.

Never look in a mirror if you're in a dream.

Too late.

Stumble backwards into the tub.

Can't look away.

Legs frozen

It reaches through the mirror.

Grabs leg.

Pulls you through

Dream destabalizes.

Chunks of the world disapear into the void.

Everything but the mirror is left.

Get dragged into its horrible, twisted, crooked world.

As it slowly swallows me whole, realize at least you won't have to wake up again.
