"I need a second to think about everything that you told me, Adam," Adam's mother said as she sat down on the couch and took a couple of deep breaths. Shortly after she had a complicated look on her face as she looked at Adam. "Adam make a promise." "Sure, what is it?" "never do something like this without me, I don't know what I would do if one day you disappeared without a warning." His mom said as she hugged Adam close, and seemed to be in real pain. "S-Sorry mom, I never meant to hurt you. I'll tell you next time if I ever do anything like this again." Adam said as he hugged her back. After everyone left and Adam found himself on his bed trying to figure out who would summon monsters to kill all humans. "Well if I can't find them at least I'm much stronger than I was back then. I just need to make sure to be ready for the fight."
Adam's dad had also talked to him about how next time that a major event happened that he made sure to tell them ahead of time. Though Adam promised he couldn't tell them about the cracks that would appear in the future. With that thought in his mind, he went to sleep.
"A*&!, A*am Adam!" "Huh?" Adam got up in a jump as after he had managed to wake up after hearing his name being yelled. "finally awake, I thought that I'd never get you up... well actually your not, you know what never mind. Just make your way to me, young one." "Technically I'm 500 years old," Adam said as he got onto a chair opposite of the dragon within his dreams. "Adam I must congratulate you on your heroics today." Adam was visibly not amused as the dragon had a big smile on his face and seemed to be extremely excited. "for what? All I did was deal with a no-good witch. "oh yeah I forgot that you didn't know, by dealing with that no-good witch you have slowed down the process in which the cracks will form and flour this world with monsters. "What, but she said that she had nothing to do with it?" "she wasn't necessarily lying, she had nothing to do with the cracks per se, but your actions that saved the kingdom from her did."
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"wait, hold on now I'm even more confused," Adam said as he found himself unable to figure out what the dragon was trying to say. "here, I'll just spit it out. The one that makes the cracks from isn't a bad person. this person has been combating with them for several hundreds of years. Every time humans do something horrible to each other, like wars or overthrowing a ruler that was leading them with just intentions, that person loses faith in humanity and faith." "Wait so who is this individual?" "I am held by an oath to never say the name of the individual nor the location said, person." Adam couldn't help but sigh at this fact as he let his shoulders down. "So there is no greater evil that I have to fight, except for the evil that resides in all of man?" The dragon then smiles as he rubbed his chiseled and perfect jawline. "It's not going to be that easy, there is a reason for you to gather strength, and that is the dark one. He is the very one that can force a god-like me into such a state. Also, he is the one that had made me take an oath to never say the name of the individual that has been fighting this whole time.
"Wait, if he can do all of this, why didn't he just destroy everything already?" Adam asked "Young one we gods are bonded by a law that was created by the first god which states that we cannot directly interfere with humans... unless it would affect the gods. You are the only person that we had bright back in hopes of saving the humans from being wiped out.
