Chapter 1 – A miserable life

He was depressed. Everyone was against him. Was his life this miserable? Were there any good times? He had lost his parents; both his dad and mum. His grandfather died a few year ago of a heart stroke. His grandfather’s last words were “no matter what anyone said, keep your head high with lots of hop”

What did he say? Am I supposed to hop around? In lots of confusion he did not get here the last word from his grandfather’s last words.

He lived with his grandmother who still lived at the age of around 59 – 60 years She had problems with her kidney as it was dismal functioning This made him frustrated. Not only that he had to pay for the operation to replace her kidney. The operation would cost him £5000 for a replacement.

He’s financial state was so bad he couldn’t afford a penny. He was living on his grandmother’s pension of £2000 and his father’s savings for future terms of £100,000.

He was single. He has no experience with girls. He never knew what to say if a girl was to approach him. Instead of the girl blushing he would blush instead.

He was known to be a loser in school. He’s title as of now is the loner. He has no friends or girlfriends, except one who had dumped him from day one of secondary school.

He did many different very physical jobs, this used a lot of his free time and he got a minimum wage of £1500. This was just enough to make a living out of.

He lost a lot of weight; he increased his height within a few years and had lean muscles that he had made after doing those jobs for years.

He felt like starting something new. So he quit his job and chose to join the army. This helped his stamina and speed and even combat skills. This also filled his bank account with a load of money. He was so ready to get that operation done.

He went home and called the ambulance which reached in minutes. He was so excited that now he could get that operation done and dusted. He reached to the city hospital.

Just before he paid for the fees for the operation, a load of people in suits with briefcases, took all the money off him. “What the fuck are you people doing.”

“Look, Kyo have you forgotten about the loan your father had taken of £105,000.”

“Fuck, please let it go, I have paid £100,000 to you.” Kyo was distraught and when he walked to the room his grandmother was in, she lay on the floor stabbed dead.

He had a chance of saving his grandmother and he blew it. He was so disturbed that Kyo went home and cut himself with a sharp knife, now covered in a fresh dark blood dripping from the knife and his hand.

He felt pain all through his hand. Crying in vain he was now alone. No-one to talk to no-one to help him; it was just him and himself.

He turned the TV on and saw a brilliant competition, for the worlds greatest reality game called "Royal Road." Kyo always wanted this reality game and it didn't even cost him to join.

All you had to do was email them, with your name and address from which they will then send by mail a number which could be said on TV for Royal Road. Kyo did just that and what do you know Kyo got that epic game.

"It's time to leave reality and join virtual reality." Kyo was ready to start a new!
