The time has come! The promised time!
Those were the words ringing in the ears of the two kids that had stepped into the woods. At first, they thought it was some sort of prank or so but they soon realized it wasn't so. Sure, a lot of people had told them about this part and how dangerous it could be but who would believe such stories? Stories from several decades ago made up to scare children. It was the reason why when everyone was against it, they had decided that they would come this far and explore the woods.
"We need to get out of here," the boy said to his friend who was looking up at the sky.
Light barely broke through the trees and there was a humid smell in the air, the woods deprived of any form of sunlight. It added to the eerie feeling that came off from the entire eighty acres of woods and it was one of the reasons people had stayed away from this place.
"I can't find the way back Luke. It seems like we are lost!"

There was a slight hint of alarm in his voice though he tried all his best to remain calm. After all, it was his idea for them to come here and now way was he going to admit to his friend that he was scared. Maybe he just needed to calm himself down a bit.
"Use your damn compass!" Luke snapped at his friend who recoiled.
Fumbling into his backpack, he brought out a compass but before he could put it to use, a howl came from deep in the woods. The sound was horrifying and to the scared boys, it made them shudder. Wolves have never been seen in this part but they knew for a certain that that was a wolf's howl.
"This....this...was a bad....idea."
Suddenly, they heard a snapping sound and both boys turned in the direction from which the sound came. Something moved quite fast and when the boys saw it, all they could do was scream out loud, frozen with fear from the being they were staring at. They tried to move but their systems failed them, leaving them in the hands of the beast that has appeared.
No! No!
He could barely say a word as his friend's head snapped and he looked Luke's dead body on the ground knowing without a doubt that he was next!
