Chapter 143 – Clash of Dragons

At the same time, Underworld, Main Battlefield.

Main Battlefield was just a fancy name for the wasteland in the Underworld, which served as a place for endless bloodshed among Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels. It was a tacit understanding between the three Factions, to fight at some abandoned location, to not cause too many civilian casualties.

Today, just like any other day, forces of Devils, Angels, and Fallen Angels clashed in a violent fight.

Lord Gerstahl Lucifuge was sitting in the Military HQ on the devil's side because he was going through the strategic plans.

"Hmm... just one month and Zeoticus will finally take over my place, and I can go home."

Said he quietly.

Commanders switched each several months on the Main Battlefield, and now it would turn for his son-in-law to change with him.

As he was in his office, suddenly, he sensed an earthquake and enormous waves of magical power radiating from the battlefield. Suddenly, two loud roars were heard across the entire Main Battlefield, as it seemed like time had stopped.

"Dragons."

Cursed Gerstahl Lucifuge as he knew exactly what happened, as he flew out of the Military HQ to see two enormous dragon figures violently clashing on the main battlefield, with just aftershocks of their fight killing tens of thousands of Devils, Angels and Fallen Angels with every exchange.

One of the dragons was an enormous red western dragon with a long neck and green eyes, and he also had red and golden spikes throughout his body: Y Ddraig Goch, Red Dragon Emperor, the Dragon Emperor of Dominance.

The second one was his arch-rival, Albion Gwiber, White Dragon Emperor, Vanishing Dragon, White Dragon of Supremacy. Albion is an enormous white western dragon described as having a beautiful pure white body, he has blue eyes, two golden horns, and unlike most western dragons, he has feathered wings.

"Order retreat from the battlefield, full one. How are our losses?"

Gerstahl screamed one order after another.

"In hundred thousand."

Reported one of his adjutants.

Albion and Ddraig were both pinnacles of the Heavenly Dragon Class, just one step away from Elder Dragon Class. They fought each other not only from their rivalry but also to improve themselves in the hope of achieving enlightenment and reaching a higher level of power, the same as the Great Red or Ophis.

They could kill average Greater Gods like nothing, so there was no way to fight with them head-on. The only way to fight with them was through deception and traps.

"Those two have started fighting at the main battlefield?"

Asked a male voice belonging to Original Lucifer, who just teleported to the Main Battlefield after getting the notice.

"Yes, what shall we do, my Lord?"

Asked Gerstahl.

"Contact Michael and Azazel to call a meeting. We will, for now, enter a ceasefire and try to deal with two of them. Yahweh is pre-occupied with Trihexa and would be for some time, so the only choice for us is to deal with them as one."

Ordered Lucifer.

Even he knew that Ddraig and Albion were out of his league. While he wasn't a newly advanced Super Devil, he was still very far away from the level where Albion and Ddraig were, as they already touched the realm of Laws. Albion with his Law of Supremacy and Ddraig with his Law of Dominance, thus they were tough to deal with.

"Also, send for Zeoticus; his magic knowledge would be of great use."

Castle Fuerig, at the same time

"Lord Lucifer, Lord Lucifer, there is an emergency message from Lord Gerstahl."

Shouted servant as I cursed in my mind.

'Just as I could have some nice outdoor sex with Hela.'

"What is happening?"

I asked impatiently.

"Two Heavenly Dragons, Y Ddraig Goch and Albion Gwiber have crashed into the Main Battlefield and are fighting there. Casualties on the devil side have already crossed over 2 million, with even leaders of Three Faction being injured after they tried talking to them."

Both of us immediately stood up in a hurry.

"Send a message that I will be right there."

I ordered as the servant bowed and left in a hurry.

"Shall I go with you?"

Hela asked gently as I considered her proposal for a while before shaking my head in disagreement.

"No, I need to have your strength hidden for some time. Additionally, we will not fight them head-on; that would be plain suicide. Albion and Ddraig are at the peak of the Heavenly Dragon Class, who already touched the Realm of Laws. Alas, they cannot breach the last barrier in their understanding of their respective Laws of Supremacy and Domination, so they have Life and Death Battle to experience an epiphany. Our only choice is some kind of Spell Formation to trap them and weaken them sufficiently so that we can kill them."

I explained.

Not that I cared where those two fought and what they destroyed, but this was a problem. While Hela was powerful even for a Great God Stage, she was my final trump card for the end of the Great War, when everybody would be exhausted, and Satans and Yahweh would be dead.

And it needed to be that way.

But to be sure of my success, I used Fate Algorithm. During past years, I have comprehended and mastered the 1st Volume of the Fate Algorithm and could now predict the most suitable future for me with minimal inaccuracy.

I operated the Fate Algorithm and saw hundreds upon hundreds of possible futures that could happen in the endless stream of fate. Due to my constitution of Fateless One, none was definite, and none was accurate absolutely.

But I found exactly what I wanted, one decision that was the best use to me.

I ended the operation of the Fate Algorithm, as I coughed a mouthful of blood, and Hela ran to support me. As a Fateless One, I can use Fate Algorithm only once in several years, and each use would give me a big backslash.

"Why you must you that dammed method if you are always injured after using it?"

Asked Hela with concerns visible in her voice and eyes.

"To maximize my gains and minimize my loss, my dear."
