Hollywood What If Chapter 61
"It didn't work out..."
Carl Morin sighed as he sat down. He had heard the news that the filming of The Hangover had gone off without a hitch.
Carl Morin had been one of the people responsible for calling the Children's Association to pester the crew. Well, he had a cooperation with the other film companies.
Unfortunately, when Kazir Grey announced that he had a script that he wanted to sell, the film companies immediately closed their mouths. They acted as if they weren't causing any trouble.
Since then, the filming of The Hangover has gone well.
'The Hangover... Ten thousand dollars for nothing.'
That was right. To make sure the Children's Association would harass the film crew, Carl Morin paid one of them to cause trouble.
He hoped that Kazir Grey would lose his temper and make a scene. They could use it as material for their next plan.
But Kazir was as calm as a stone. He was angry, but he kept his cool.
"Well, at least I pissed him off in a way."
It was kind of petty, but it didn't matter. They have another way of causing trouble.
WMA knew what he was doing, but they decided to keep their mouths shut. WMA was angry that Kazir Grey became successful after they kicked him out of the company.
Even the CAA people mocked them for their stupidity. The president of WMA even talked to vice president Lawlor Dean and Carl Morin about it.
The two were humiliated on the floor for kicking Kazir Grey of WMA.
So Carl Morin was angry with Kazir Grey. He wanted to make sure that he would never have a peaceful day in Hollywood.
The WMA turned a blind eye to his evil deeds because they wanted to see Kazir lose.
To be honest, their opinion of The Hangover was hopeful. Especially when Ed Helms was involved in the project. They hoped the movie would be successful. So that another superstar would rise from their ranks.
But their opinion about Kazir Grey was gloomy. They wanted to see him fall into the pit of misfortune.
"Kazir, this is all your fault."

He grinned devilishly.
"Carl Morin, congratulations on your client. I hear he just finished shooting a horror movie?"
John Harris approached Carl Morin. John Harris was jealous that Carl Morin had a director client under him... Well, he had two directors under him, but he kicked the first one.
He was ridiculed for it. After three years of working with Kazir Grey, the director became successful after leaving him. It showed that Carl Morin was incompetent.
Still, John Harris wanted to make a connection with Carl Morin because he wanted his clients to be involved in his director's next projects.
"Thank you, John. Congratulations on Ed Helms too."
Carl's lips twitched. In fact, John's position after the success of Napoleon Dynamite was much better than his. His client received a salary of $1.7 million for The Hangover, and 10% of that would go to John Harris.
"Leon Lau has finished filming Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood."
Carl Morin smiled proudly. He believed that Leon Lau would be more successful than Kazir Grey. He strongly believed it.
"That's good to hear... By the way, if Leon Lau has any suitable roles for my clients, please send them some invitations".
"Of course. I will talk to Leon about it."
Carl Morin chuckled. He loved the feeling of being on top. Because his client was a director, more and more people were asking him for suitable roles for their clients.
This is the power of an agent who has a director client.
"Thank you."
John Harris left the office room after hearing this.
"Tch, when I have roles, I give them to my actors first. Why would I even give them to others?... Unless they have something to offer. I heard that one of John's clients is a young actress. Heh."
He licked his lips.

......
...
After filming in Las Vegas, Kazir returned to Los Angeles.
"Ah, the smell of Los Angeles air... Polluted as always."
He shrugged and walked out of the airport.
"Kazir."
"Good morning, Salvatore."
On his way to the exit, he found Salvatore waiting for him.
"I've already got a car ready for us."
"Thank you."
Considering that Salvatore was meeting him in person, Kazir realized that there was something important to talk about.
Kazir and Salvatore got into the car.
"Kazir, Fox Searchlight Pictures has already settled the account. They will pay tomorrow."
"That's good to hear. Napoleon Dynamite has already finished its run in North America and the box office is $149 million."
It was a miracle for a project like Napoleon Dynamite to have that kind of success. Kazir grinned.
"5% of that is going to your bank account."
Salvatore smiled too... The answer was simple, he had a share in that amount.
Kazir Kazir would get $7.45 million. Then Salvatore Barlowe would receive $223,000 from Kazir.
Ah, the power of success. Salvatore never regretted contacting Kazir. Lately, many of his associates had become friendly with him, asking if Kazir Grey had another project. Hoping their clients could audition for roles.
"I'm sure 20th Century Fox has some conditions, right?"
"They want to talk to you about the sequel to Napoleon Dynamite. Tom Rothman wants to see you tomorrow."
"I understand."
Kazir enjoyed a good relationship with Tom Rothman. He was grateful that Tom Rothman accepted his movie. In a way, he had a lot of respect for 20th Century Fox and Tom Rothman.
"Let's meet tomorrow. Today I want to take some time to relax. By the way, what movies are in the theater right now?"
"Warner Bros has invited you to the premiere of Twister."
"Of course I will be there."
Kazir easily accepted the invitation. He knew that Twister would be one of the blockbuster movies of the year.
"It's on May 11th. That is three days from now. You will be on the red carpet, so wear something nice.
Salvatore Barlowe reminded him.
"I'll buy a suit for the occasion."
