Prologue

Almost all of humanity believes that Equality should rule. However most people realise that without giving up some unalienable rights that, that future is futile, impossible even.

But one Kingdom by the name of Kraus, decided that Equality was worth anything. They believed that they would achieve Equality no matter what it took (The King was obviously eccentric).

Not complete equality, but giving people equal opportunities and rights.

There were 3 main points upon which people complained about inequality, these were:

One: Which family someone was born into

Two: Their aptitude for magic

Three: Their physical appearance

Therefore, Kraus took steps to remove these.

The moment a child was born they were sent to the Control, a place where new children were brought up, without any prejudice given to them because of their family, they were stripped of their magic at the tender age of 3, after their mana started to manifest, but before they had enough control or power to stop the removal.

Of course the Kingdom did not stoop so low as to alter the bodies or minds of the children, so as to make sure that everybody could still be called an individual, even though experiences could shape a person they didn’t want to risk making everyone the exact same.

This wasn’t true Equality but this was enough to satisfy the idiosyncratic King.

These children were raised by the Control until the age 17, and from there they could venture out into the kingdom to pursue there own goals, all of them given the same opportunities.

Approximately 1200 years later

It was a special day.

Something like this had not occurred in countless Era’s.

It signalled the change of the tides that shaped the world.

A day where something truly marvellous was born.

Its name was Nihil, and he was Hollow.
