When you have a long life sometimes you become nostalgic. Looking back and remembering your loved ones that passed away, or the family that you once had. Remembering your childhood when all your family was still alive. Now don't get me wrong they didn't die tragically or anything. All of them die in their golden years, happy and surrounded by family. All of them aged and turned old, had children and grandchildren. Passing away while looking back on their years on this earth.

I also got married had children and grandchildren, but when you don't age most people find it weird. My siblings not so much and my parents loved me all the same. But my children and grandchildren noticed. My nephews and nieces saw it very evident. I didn't age, I didn't change, and the years couldn't leave their mark on my body. I was different. I tried to share it with people, at first they laughed at the idea, but later when they noticed it was real they didn't want it. They said that kind of life wasn't right. It was unnatural to live forever.

So when my siblings passed away and I watched my daughter grow old. I decided it was time for me to disappear from their lives. Looking back I was stupid. I shouldn't have left. I should of been there until my daughter's last moments. Because I can only imagine how she felt, knowing that her father was still alive out there but was to afraid to see any of them. nervous that they would judge him for being different.

I know now that my fear was unneeded, The love of a father should be stronger than that, and the love of a child for their parent even more so. My child, I wronged you and even after all these years I still owe you for what I did back then. No matter how many years pass. How long of a time elapses I will not forget you story my child. You and your aunts and uncles will live on in my memories. The day that I forget you is the day that I should truly disappear from this world.
