Chapter 4

As the sun rose the next day, spreading its warm light across the city, Takeshi ventured outside for a leisurely walk. He walked through the busy streets, observing the lively activity of the people going about their daily lives. Little did he know that a life-turning event was about to take place.

As Takeshi turned a corner, he heard the sound of a disturbance. Intrigued, he quickened his pace and followed the noise to its origin. There, he discovered a group of thugs surrounding a defenseless individual, tormenting and threatening him.

"What's the matter? Can't handle the pressure?" taunted the first thug, propping his leg against the wall.

"Come on, we know you have the money," said the second thug while waving around a knife.

"Don't keep it all to yourself, share some with us," demanded the third thug, rummaging through the man's bag.

Takeshi's instincts kicked in, and without hesitation, he intervene.

"Hey, leave him alone!" Takeshi shouted

"Who do you think you are? Get lost!" one of the thugs exclaimed, releasing the man as they turned their attention to Takeshi. The three thugs formed a circle around him.

The second thug menacingly waved the knife in front of Takeshi, attempting to intimidate him. "Trying to play hero?"

The third thug sneered, cracking his knuckles.

The first thug wore a menacing expression, warning Takeshi "Wrong neighborhood to be roleplaying a hero, kid"

In the blink of an eye, Takeshi sprang into action. With swift precision, he delivered powerful punches to the thugs' guts, incapacitating them effortlessly. Takeshi seized the first thug and hurled him against the wall with astonishing strength, leaving him dazed.

"What... what just happened?" the first thug groaned in pain, bewildered by Takeshi's unexpected display of force.

Overwhelmed by the impact, all the thugs succumbed and lost consciousness. Takeshi wiped his hand clean and approached the man, returning his bag.

Grateful beyond words, the man whom Takeshi had saved expressed his heartfelt gratitude

"Thank you! I don't know how to repay you," the man said with genuine appreciation.

Takeshi simply nodded, accepting the thanks with humility

Lost in his own thoughts, Takeshi continued to resume his walk. After a long walk, suddenly, a piercing scream tore through the air near the forest, jolting him out of his reverie. He rushed forward toward the source of the sound. There, on the ground, cowered a young girl, trembling with fear.

Takeshi rushed to the girl's side.

"Hey, are you alright? What happened?" he asked

With a shaky voice, the terrified girl managed to stammer, "Th-there...!"

Takeshi's eyes widened in horror as he turned around and caught sight of an eldritch monster approaching. It had a head with a gaping mouth filled with razor-sharp fangs, and six floating arms. There was no trace of a body. Fear gripped Takeshi's heart, momentarily paralyzing him.

Thoughts of fleeing raced through Takeshi's mind, but when he glanced at the frightened young girl, his unwavering bravery refused to let him abandon her.

Takeshi forced a reassuring smile and clenched his teeth

"Listen, I'll do my best to hold off that monster. Run away and find a safe place. Don't worry about me."

Tears welled up in the girl's eyes as she hesitated. "But..."

Takeshi raised his voice "Now go, hurry!"

the girl started to run, leaving Takeshi to face the monster. He squared his shoulders, readying himself to fight. Uncertainty flooded his thoughts as he questioned whether he possessed the strength to overcome this otherworldly being.

Takeshi charged towards the monster, but just as he was about to reach it, the creature's mouth opened wide, reacting swiftly, Takeshi halted in his tracks, narrowly avoiding the trap. The monster's mouth snapped shut, and Takeshi found himself face to face with his own reflection in the monster's teeth. Pushing himself away from the creature with his hand, Takeshi sprinted deep into the forest, with the relentless monster hot on his heels.

As Takeshi dashed through the forest, he glanced over his shoulder, only to find the monster relentlessly pursuing him. Its floating hands wreaked havoc, tearing through the trees in its path.

"I've gotta set some distance!" Takeshi thought, his heart pounding as he continued to sprint.

After a while of desperate running, Takeshi spotted a large tree and quickly took cover behind it. He pressed himself against the trunk, stifling his breath to remain unheard.

His mind filled with fear and confusion, Takeshi thought to himself "What on earth is that thing?"

The monstrous creature roamed the area, its floating hands probing the woods in search of Takeshi.

Keeping his nerves steady, Takeshi remained motionless behind the tree. The hands came closer and closer but just in the nick of time, Takeshi leaped up, effortlessly vaulting above the tree's branches and evading the hands' grasp.

"Close one..." Takeshi exhaled, relieved to have narrowly escaped.

Taking a cautious moment to study the monster, Takeshi noticed something glistening behind its head.

"Could that be its weakness?" Takeshi squinted

Takeshi retrieved his karambit from his pocket, readying himself for the moment when the monster would draw near.

"Don't know till I try" Takeshi said while aiming his karambit.

With the monster's head drawing nearer and the glimmering spot in sight, Takeshi leaped downward, with his karambit aiming for the monster's back. However, to his astonishment, the weapon met nothing but a cleverly disguised rock, tricking his eyesight.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

A wicked smile formed on the monster's face as one of its floating hands seized Takeshi and hurled him against the rocky mountain. Takeshi fought to regain his footing, but before he could rise, four of the monster's hands grasped his limbs, rendering Takeshi immobile. Takeshi strained against the powerful grip.

"Let me go!" Takeshi's voice echoed through the air.

The monster's head loomed closer, its gaping maw ready to devour Takeshi. He struggled with all his might, his thoughts racing.

"This can't be it!"

"I've gotta get out!"

"I need to break free!"

"I'm not gonna get eaten here!"

Yet, despite his valiant efforts, Takeshi found himself overpowered by the creature's immense strength.

As the monster's mouth inched closer, poised to consume Takeshi, all seemed lost. But then, a glimmer of hope appeared in the form of an unexpected savior. Descending from above, an elderly man radiating a golden aura of power effortlessly kicked the monster away, intervening just in time to rescue Takeshi.

Takeshi was finally released from the tight grip of the monster's hands, his body throbbing with pain.

"Sit down, young man. I'll take care of this," the old man reassured Takeshi.

Relieved, Takeshi found a spot to rest and observed the scene unfolding before him.

The monster rose from the ground, enraged by the old man's blow. Its hands spun wildly, its fury evident.

"Hoh? Getting frustrated already? We're just getting started," the old man taunted the monster.

The creature charged towards the old man at an alarming speed, its six arms and gaping mouth poised for attack. But the old man remained steadfast, extending his arms forward and conjuring a protective chi barrier that encircled him, pushing the monster back.

the old man drew back his right arm with focus, taking a deep breath. Then, in a swift motion, he unleashed an aerial punch that carried a golden gust of wind. Takeshi felt a rush of awe as the punch connected with the monster, shattering its teeth into pieces.

Dismissing the chi barrier, the old man assumed a fighting stance, ready to face the charging monster head-on. The creature's six hands surged forward, but the old master of Chi moved with unrivaled grace, effortlessly evading each attack and countering with precision strikes. The air crackled with energy as every blow landed on the monster. Takeshi could hardly believe what he was witnessing.

"Wow..." he whispered in amazement.

In a matter of minutes, all of the monster's swirling hands were disintegrated by the old man's formidable energy. The creature's head trembled in fear as the old man approached, delivering a final devastating blow with his glowing right fist, reducing the head to mere dust.

"That takes care of it," the old man declared with a satisfied smile.

Having witnessed the entire spectacle, Takeshi attempted to rise but winced in pain, clutching his chest.

"Ouch!" he exclaimed.

"Oh, stay right there, young man. I'll come to you," the old man said, making his way toward Takeshi.

Hovering his hand above Takeshi's body, the old man's hand emitted a radiant energy glow. After a few seconds, he withdrew his hand, and Takeshi's pain began to subside.

"How did you...?" Takeshi started to ask.

The old man chuckled lightly and walked away.

Takeshi stood before the old man, determined not to let this opportunity slip away.

"I want to learn!" Takeshi exclaimed.

"What's that?"

"I want to learn that energy thing," Takeshi gestured, imitating the old man's earlier move, "and that healing too!"

"Quite curious, aren't you?" the old man remarked, his hands clasped behind his back.

"Come tomorrow then. Your name?" he asked.

"Takeshi!"

"Takeshi... come tomorrow to the dojo up on the hill, and I'll teach you about this energy, I call 'Chi.'"

"Sure!"

From that moment onward, Takeshi's life would be forever transformed. He embarked on a journey of rigorous training, honing his body, mind, and spirit under the watchful guidance of his newfound mentor.

After undergoing four years of intense training under the watchful eye of Master Ronin at the temple dojo atop the mountain, 16-Years-Old Takeshi had transformed into a formidable martial artist. He dedicated himself to studying the secrets of Chi energy. Today marked the pinnacle of his hard work as he felt a sudden surge of power coursing through his body, making him feel light as if he could float.

Filled with curiosity, Takeshi decided to put it to the test. Instead of walking down the mountain, he effortlessly dashed, his feet barely touching the ground, reaching the bottom in the blink of an eye. His keen eyes caught sight of a gigantic boulder perched atop the mountain. Takeshi propelled himself into the air, gracefully vaulting over the massive rock, and landed with poise on the other side.

"This feels great!" Takeshi exclaimed in awe.

Intrigued, he effortlessly lifted the colossal boulder, marveling at his own strength, and gently placed it back in its original position.

"An ordinary person wouldn't stand a chance, but after years of training and harnessing Chi energy, this must be my limit break" Takeshi mused.

Approaching the mountain's edge, he took in the breathtaking view before him, relishing the refreshing breeze against his face.

Lost in thought, Takeshi contemplated his purpose. "With these, I will do my best in protecting the people from those monsters that are lurking outside from here"

Just as Takeshi prepared to leap back down to the ground, the earth began to quake. He turned his head to the left and saw a colossal rock creature, known as the Ancient Rock Guardian Grock emerged before him, its sheer size towering at an astonishing 65 meters.

"Well, well, speak of the devil," Takeshi muttered under his breath.

{Ancient Rock Guardian Grock

Age: 5,000,000

Height: 65 meters

The ruler of this land, Ancient Rock Guardian Grock is a force to be reckoned with. Anyone who dares to interfere its wrath will face Grock's immense body, capable of growing up to 135 meters.}

"Hey there! What brings you to these mountains?" Takeshi called out to the towering creature.

The monster turned its attention towards Takeshi, rocks crackling as it spoke with a deep, rumbling voice.

"I am Grock, the ancient rock guardian who has ruled this land from before your species were created. These mountains are my home, and your kind is not welcome, I will put an end to your kind destruction of my land" Grock's eyes glowed with blue energy emanating from its mouth aiming at the village on the bottom of the mountain.

"Sorry the word 'destruction' doesn't suit this peaceful mountain landscape, so I'm gonna have to stop you" Takeshi replied, assuming a focused fighting stance.

"It will be your demise," Grock warned.

Takeshi leaped forward the towering giant and his fist glowing, punched Grock's jaw, and staggered it backward, Takeshi landed on a tree and watched Grock as it fixes its jaws

Grock's towering form grew even taller, swinging its massive arm toward Takeshi. With agility, Takeshi evaded the attack and climbed onto the creature's arm, perching on top of it and teasing the monster.

"Could you swing faster? I barely feel the wind here" Takeshi taunted.

Annoyed by Takeshi's remarks, Grock let out a loud roar. "ARghh!!"

"Seems like you need anger management for monsters" Takeshi quipped.

In a fit of rage, Grock released a burst of energy from its mouth, but Takeshi skillfully dodged it and countered with a powerful punch to the monster's head.

The force of the blow sent Grock tumbling several distances away from Takeshi, causing destruction in its wake away from the village.

Takeshi descended safely onto a spacious field, observing Grock struggling to get back on its feet, one leg visibly cracking. Takeshi couldn't resist teasing the creature further. "Why not use your tower as a crutch for that cracked leg? heh"

"ENOUGH! NO MORE FOOLISHNESS!" Grock bellowed, lifting its arm and gathering energy, storing it within its massive appendage.

"Sure?"

Takeshi sprinted towards Grock, gathering his strength as he leaped into the air once more. His hand shimmered with a brilliant, golden glow. With a resounding battle cry, he delivered a powerful punch straight at the creature's colossal face.

"MEGA PUNCH!" Takeshi shouted with all his might. The impact was catastrophic, shattering Grock's massive body into countless fragments. The ground quaked, rocks crumbled, and the mountains trembled as if caught in the throes of an earthquake.

"Whoops, that definitely did a number"

Takeshi landed and sat down to catch his breath, he glanced at his watch, and Takeshi went into a panic.

"Oh no! I completely forgot that tomorrow is my first day of high school! I need to hurry back to my apartment or I'm gonna get yelled at again!"

With swift movements, Takeshi rushed back to the dojo, gathered his belongings, and bid farewell to Master Ronin.

"Hey, Master! I'm heading out now!" Takeshi called out to Ronin, who sat calmly sipping his tea.

"I understand. Take care, Takeshi, and remember, you're always welcome here," Ronin replied with a serene smile.

"I will, Master!" Takeshi replied with gratitude. With a single leap that defied gravity, he soared through the air.
