Opening

They say, long ago, an-Dugen, an-Jras, and Zildath split the continent of Candore after the surrender of the Farshoremen to the forces of the Candorean people. This sundering resulted in a period of unrest across the land as strange beasts, including what we now know as the Slakers, emerged from the fissure and erected their governance over the surface.

"Hesha, hesha, hesha!"

Above are words often seen etched in the religious monuments and texts seeking to commemorate--and by turns lament--these events, visibly embedded across the stone sculpts of statues new and old, or on the margins of a sacred acreyan verse. They were uttered by a rebellious group, one composed of Candoreans and Farshoremen alike, that sought the reacquisition of Candore from the Slakers. Eventually, this band was stamped out, much of them by their own kin, who elected to acquiesce to Slakean rule instead of stymie their chances for peace. Thusly, it came to fruit that the Slakean Sultanate was first established in year 11201 of the modern turning, under the rule of Ochmach un Chariph following the siege of a major redoubt on the sun-ward slope of Mt. Napa. Thus began an age of brutal economic advancement and cultural annexation, as well as the enslavement of numerous royal families once prevalent throughout the kingdoms and municipalities known this day as the 'great shackling.' It was a time of dismantling and disruption, but also of new births and warriors, sportsmen and sportswomen of legend, as well as surges of creativity from within numerous arts, as the accoutrements of Slakean life gradually found a point of conjunction with that of the Candorean populace, awakening avenues that before would never have been probable.

Near a century after the formation of the chasm, however, Zildath returned with an army of vowed. For reasons unknown, she led a conquest of her own over the, now two, continental masses. The Acreyan proceeded to raze down kingdoms, cities, towns, and towers of sacred roost. Slakean and Candorean alike were swept up in their path, one that was brisk and largely unchallenged. The entire pivot south of the Konsho Gulf, left in ash. It is widely known that killing an Acreyan is impossible without the likes of god-given grant.

Following Zildath's leveling, the land was reduced to largely rubble. In its wake was a wall of fire, formed around the two landmasses, forbidding any to leave, any to enter. Another kingdom fallen. Another era ended and begun. Another dawn.
