Birth of a hero CP 2

Okays: (with a sad tone) But mother, they’re so high. How can I leave? You told me before there are no doors in these walls.

Arlena: (placing her hand on his head) Don’t worry. When the time comes, I will tell you how you can leave.

Okays: (smiling) Will you come with me when that time comes?

Arlena: (a sorrowful look) My son, remember that beasts cannot leave these walls because of the king's orders.

Okays: But I’m also a beast. How can I leave then?

Arlena: (a sorrowful look) Let me tell you something. You are a hybrid between a human and a beast. Your father was human, so you can leave. However, you must not reveal yourself here. If they discover you’re a hybrid, they will do terrible things to you. They hate humans.

Okays: So, Mother, do I have to leave without you? (sad expression) No, I won’t go without you.

Arlena: You must leave when you turn twenty. You have ten years left.

Okays: Do I really have to leave?

Arlena: You are still young, my son. When you grow older, you won’t be able to live here in hiding. That’s why you must leave.

Okays: (with excitement) I will take you with me.

Arlena: (with a sad look) I wish that could happen.

Years passed, and Okays trained his blood-manipulating ability, trying to become stronger. He also possessed his unique power, Bloodout, which allowed him to control liquids externally, but he didn’t yet know how to use it. For now, he focused on physical training, enhancing his internal blood energy, and learning the human language of the outside world.

When he turned 18, with just two years left until his departure, Okays experienced the darkest time of his life. His mother, Arlena, grew very ill due to her advanced age and the toll of carrying him for a thousand years. She became bedridden in her final years.

Arlena: (coughing) Okays, are you here?

Okays: (rushing to her) Yes, I’m here.

Arlena: My son, I don’t think I have many days left in this life.

Okays: (sad expression) Don’t say that, Mother. Please.

Arlena: I’ve lived a long life and gave birth to a wonderful child like you. But I couldn’t give you anything else.

Okays: (tearing up) That’s not true! You gave me life and the hope of leaving this cruel, war-torn world. Please hold on a little longer. We’ll leave here soon, Mother.

Arlena: My son, you have a long life ahead of you. Just promise me one thing. Try to live a happy life (coughing) when you leave here.

Okays: Please, Mother, stop. Don’t talk like that. I promise you’ll be fine.

Arlena: How I wish I could see you grow up, my son.

She gently closed her eyes and passed away, leaving behind a world full of struggles and sorrows. Her one gift to this world was her son, Okays.

Afterwards, he buried her in a nearby forest. Returning home to clean up, he found a letter and a large box in his mother’s room. The letter was addressed to him.

The Letter’s Content:

When you read this letter, my son, I may have already gone far away. But I still live in your heart and soul. For that, don’t give up and live your life to the fullest.

I wanted to tell you something in this letter that I might not be able to say when you turn 20. It’s about how you can leave this place. Look for a man named Taris. He will help you. Just tell him you’re my son, and he will assist you.

When you leave this place, wear the mask and scarf I’ve left for you in this box. They will hide your hybrid nature.

This is all I could do for you. I wish I could have been a better mother, but I’m truly sorry for giving you such a harsh life. I’m so sorry. I love you, my son.

Overcome with tears, Okays broke down after reading his mother’s sorrowful letter. Lost in the truth, he resolved to continue training and learning about the other continents.

Two years passed, and the day of Okays’ departure arrived. Before leaving, he needed to find Taris to learn how to escape. Wearing the heavy clothes, scarf, and mask his mother had left him, he stepped out of his home.

Standing before the door, he reminisced about all the happy and sad memories he had experienced in this place. The walls of the house bore traces of his laughter and sorrow, with every corner telling a story from his childhood. He bid farewell to these cherished memories, ready to embark on the unknown.

For the first time in his life, he left the forest where he was born. He set off toward the Beast City, Darkis, with a mix of anxiety and anticipation in his heart.

Leaving the dense, tree-covered forest atop a high hill, he gazed at the city below. Its vibrant, colorful lights sparkled like a beating heart.

Descending toward the city, Okays was greeted by the sounds of beasts all around. The beasts seemed wary of him because of the mask he wore, a symbol of strangeness and suspicion.

He began asking the beasts about Taris, but their eyes were filled with distrust and fear. “What do you want?” they asked, as Okays tried to show he meant no harm.

The beasts exchanged glances, silently deliberating. The air of the city was thick with astonishment and curiosity as Okays stood in its midst, feeling out of place as though the forest he left behind still clung to him with its memories.

After a long search, he encountered someone along the road and asked him about Taris.

Okays: Excuse me, may I have a moment?

Stranger: What do you want? I don’t have much time for someone with such a foul smell.

Okays: (sighing) I’m sorry if I disturbed you, but do you know Taris?

Stranger: If you mean that old fool Taris, yes, he lives (pointing toward a location) over there. Anyway, that old man has lost his mind.

Okays: (thinking to himself) Why does he seem so angry? Oh, thank you.

Stranger: (with a domineering look) Now get out of my face.

Okays followed the directions and reached the location the stranger had mentioned. He found an abandon

ed, dilapidated house and knocked gently on the door. A small girl answered.
