Chapter 4: By the might of Catears!

Okay. [Power Magic]. Entrance for the muscle me …. hopefully not. Olward was getting some books together while mumbling. In the mean time I was munching away on more sweets, while chatting a bit with Ari and Sara. The theme was daily life before I came here, rumors about royalty and loincloths. Seriously I am gonna get me someone that will make swimsuits or something alike. If they don't go in nude, at least wear something decent!

Olward: “Okay Jacky. These books are all about the basic's of [Power], which enhances ones body. I will explain firstly a few things, then your onto some self study.”

Jacky: “ … … …”

THESE? What was pointed at, was a newly formed pile of books. Higher then myself with about 2 meters something in height and a pyramid form. Your kidding …. I like books. But how long will it take to read all these ….

Jacky: “Is there no shortcut? I can't use chants …. so aren't these useless to me?”

Olward: “These books aren’t about chants. They are information about body structure, organs, life cycles, experiments and such.”

Jacky: “Like Biology books?”

Olward: “Hmm, yes. They are all of that category, if you break it down to it.”

So to use power magic I need to understand the function of what I want to enhance. I am kinda so-so versed in biology. I wanted to become an mad scientist that would create monsters, when I was young. After all I became a normal chemistry lab worker ….

Jacky: “How does it work?”

Olward: “The easiest explanation would be. Altering ones body to the image in ones mind. The stronger the alteration, the more [Mana] is used up.”

Jacky: “That sounds easy …. no draw backs?”

Olward: “I knew you would ask. There are draw backs. The stronger the alteration and the longer the change prevails. The more pained, tired, powerless will you be after using it.”

So you can't overdo it ….

Olward: “You might end up breaking your body too. So badly that it would need an healers attention.”

Jacky: “Sounds dangerous ….”

Olward: “As an example. If you made your feet go faster. When you stop the [Magic] you will feel more sluggish for some time. Or if you make yourself stronger, the weaker you will be when your without [Power] again.”

Hmm, so it's like a boost. That can be used constantly. But will need some recuperation time after it's usage? Sounds like an useful double edged sword.

Olward: “The last ditch [Magic] some royal guards can use is a derivation of an [Power] too. They will use up their own life force to blast themselves and the enemy into smithereens.”

Jacky: “ …. not really what I had in mind.”

Olward: “Yes, that's rather an emergency variant to protect royalty.”

So …. there are guards here that would blow themselves up. If it's necessary …. That means the enemy can do something like that too. This is getting messy …. What idiot invented such [Magic]!

Olward: “Back to the topic. So you know a bit about your own body?”

Jacky: “Yes, mostly the basics. Like muscles, organs, what skin is, what the body is made of and such things.”

Olward: “Hmm, that is rather a lot. Is it normal for someone from your world to have this knowledge?”

Jacky: “Mostly yes. At least were I am from, it's basic stuff you learn in your school life.”

Olward sat down on an empty chair. He seemed to think deeply and scratched his head.

Olward: “Let's try something.”

Jacky: “Are you sure it is save?”

Olward: “The worst would be a few broken bones. That should be healed in no time.”

Jacky: “ …. a few ….”

Olward: “Just try to strengthen your muscles in your fingers. And bend this. It's an magic tool to determine physical force.”

A metallic rod was given to me. I tried to bent it without any [Magic] first. A smokey number 12 was emitted, when I stopped to put force in.

Jacky: “Hmm, rather interesting.”

Olward: “It's an normal magic tool for training purposes …. Ah wait, I remember something. Afterward we still need to check your [Mana] capacity and regeneration. I am kind of interested in what will be shown.”

Jacky: “Okay, I want to know too. How much I differ from an average [Human] here.”

Okay, let's do this. I won't go all out …. breaking my own bones, sounds painfully. And I don't want to end up bulky with muscles ….

Jacky: “Hmm.”

Ari: “Master you can do it!!”

Sara: “Shh, Ari keep quite!”

Ari: “ …. sorry ….”

Hopefully this works. Okay I just need to imagine me bending this rod?

Jacky: “ …. ….”

After I stopped. The same number appeared again. Okay …. now your insulting my determination! When that doesn't work. Then how about making my muscles finer and increase the number. I think the more fine threads are in a rope, the more force it can hold. Is it the same ….?

*crack*

My hand bulged visible into a horrid look. The rod cracked like an twig. I just looked at my hands ….

Jacky: “ …. I wont ever do that again!”

Olward: “Why? This is superb. This rod should hold out at least a force of 1000! That's about as much of an force to break normal stone into dust.”

Ari: “Whoa~ master is strong. So cool!”

Sara: “ …. ….”

Sara! Your reaction is the right one! These hands look horrid! Cancel that shit out …. with some concentration. My hands reverted back to looking frail and non-monstrously. I moved my fingers around a bit.

Jacky: “My muscles feel like after to much work out with hand weights. Stiff, heavy and a bit painful …. But it doesn't seem to have broken any bones ….”

Olward: “That is good. Read up on these books. You will master this probably in a few years time.”

Jacky: “ …. …. …”

Olward looked at me with anticipation. And then sighed out loud.

Olward: “You know. You can even use that [Magic] to enhance the body of someone else. Body contact is needed for that. It will break as soon as the contact is lost. So it isn't really used in combat much. How about using Ari?”

Ari: “???”

Sara: “Oh, that's an good idea!”

Jacky: “Using Ari. Like in a mounts sense?”

Olward smiled creepy and clapped his hands together.

Olward: “Yes, that should do.”

Ari: “I-is m-master going to r-ride me?”

Jacky: “Ha …. if you allow it Ari. I would at least like to test it out on you a bit. Tell me when it hurts to much. We will stop then.”

Ari: “Y-yes!!”

Ari buckled down. She was on all fours …. what's with that pose. Your tail is quivering wildly! This isn't supposed to be dogy style! Or horseback!

Jacky: “ …. Ari, not like that ….”

Ari: “ …. ah …. r-right ….”

Jacky: “Don't point out your ass to me! JUST STAND UP!”

I smacked her ass with my hand. Luckily for her without power magic.

Afterward i climbed onto Ari's back. She finally stood up, rubbing her ass with teary eyes. My arms crossed over her shoulders. Piggyback seems more decent and useable for this …. I am not gonna ride her like an horse. I am going to discipline you later on …. how did you come to have such ideas in your head! I am somewhat happy …. but that's not the point.

Olward: “ Just try out to enhance her body in some way. And test out the difference. But it would be best, not to go to such extremes like before. It might break her.”

Jacky: “I know. No imagine something crass. I am going with small changes …. hopefully.”

Ari: “Do wh-whatever you like m-master!”

Jacky: “Stop with the panting. It's irritating me more then it makes me happy!”

Sara: “Haha, Ari's awakening~”

Jacky: “Don't make it worse then it is Sara!”

Sara: “Right, right~ I won't interfere master~”

Ari: “M-master …. s-so-sorry. Pun-”

Jacky: “No Ari. No punishment. If your not stopping with that. No sleeping with me.”

I am just surround by perverts …. Oh wait, one attracts the same kind of his flock. I should have forced myself to behave …. I am going to punish Ari later on. But in a way, so that it is actual punishment for her. Should I pet Sara? Let's be a bit more serious here. I can mess around later.

Jacky: “Okay, Ari go and run around. Going outside would probably be good.”

Ari: “Y-yes!”

Whoa …. she's rather fast. After she left trough the door. She ran down the hallway in a good speed. The steps of the stairs were simply jumped over. Every time she jumps my body was being jerked around a bit. So I clamped down more heavy on her with my legs and arms.

Ari: “Master is this good?”

Jacky: “Yeah, good work. Now go outside. I will try out enhancing your speed a bit with [Power].”

Ari: “Yes!”

So I say. But how do I enhance her speed? I know how to make her muscle go *biki biki* into an horrible state. I experienced that myself ….  Would that make her faster? Yeah, most likely. But it's gonna hurt her a lot. And my mind even more so ….

Jacky: “Go left Ari.”

Ari: “Yes, master!”

Ari's happily moving around with an good speed. I don't know much of the palace's layout. But the Garden in the mid is rather vast. About the field size of an Olympic Stadium. There was a gravel way all around it. So slipping shouldn't be so problematic.

Jacky: “I will try now. Tell me when it hurts. Stop then!”

Ari: “Y-yes master!”

So, what to do. Let's try changing the muscles to a thin type. But not increasing the volume ….

Jacky: “WOAHHHH!!”

Ari: “I AM FAST! Master this is great!”

Ari's speed increased while I was thinking about what to exactly do. Looking down on her legs. No visible change was done. At least I wont acquire any nightmares …. of Ari in an full muscle body.

Jacky: “Ok, your doing good. Any pain?”

Ari: “No, master. Everything is good.”

Jacky: “Good girl~”

I couldn't resist her tone of speech and petted her head. Jeah, that was an bad idea.

Jacky: “!! STOP ARI!!”

Ari: “Hehe~ What? …. AH!”

We were running in a straight line over an grassy field. The next destination in a few seconds. A wall. A sturdy wall, that wont budge a millimeter from our impact. Ari's reaction was way to slow, duo the increase in running speed.

*Crushing sound*

Jacky: “Ugghh ….”

I saw how we crashed into the wall. But before that happened, Ari was enveloped in flames. Especially her feet had chaotically flames attached. My hands got burned badly and I instinctively let go of Ari. That was a bad move.

Through the force of the crash against the wall. My body was flung to the ceiling. It was an ugly sound of bones breaking. I still had my eyes open from the shook. Ari literally crashed trough the first wall, then through the second and vanished from my field of vision.

Before long my body fell to the ground. Face first I hit the stone floor. Ahh, that was an failure. I lost my consciousness ones again. The sweet emptiness greeted me back into it's embrace ….

A few hours later, around 5pm.

Jacky: “ Argh ….”

Olward: “Oh, you're finally coming too.”

I was healed again. The same room again. While opening my eyes, I could smell smoke in the air.

Jacky: “ Y-yes. Somehow I survived that. What happened?”

Olward: “Seems like that went a bit too good. Like with the replication of [Razor Flame]”

Jacky: “ ... Is Ari alright?”

I could see Sara standing beside Olward, who was sitting  on a cushioned chair with arm rests. But Ari wasn't to be seen. The room was strangely strong lighted up.

Olward: “ …. That is …. complicated.”

Jacky: “ …. she's not dead ….?”

Ari: “I' am alright master ….”

Jacky: “Ari?”

Ari's voice come from the area of the chimney. It was in the other direction of Olward and Sara position. So I didn't notice at first.

Jacky: “ ….”

Olward: “As you can see there's a slight problem. Still that is quite something~”

Ari was kneeling there. Inside the chimney …. She was completely nude. Her arm and hand were covering up a few areas. But made it not less erotically doing so ….

But more importantly, flames were everywhere on here. She looked exactly the same when we crashed on that wall by accident. Except that her clothes now were gone.

Jacky: “That ….”

Olward: “Interesting right? How does it keep up, even with the user fainting?”

Jacky: “ …. more importantly, why is she burning. And how the fuck can we stop that!”

Olward: “Slow down. And lay down again. All with time~”

Jacky: “ ….”

Olward seemed rather relaxed. Okay, it seems as Ari isn't in any pain. And from the looks …. she didn't had a scratch on her smooth skin. Her eyes looked really nice with the flames all over. And …. ahh wait! Stop we need to prioritize thought process power …. Cancel out the flame my mind!

Jacky: “ …. it's not working.”

Olward: “So canceling it out from the caster doesn't work. I thought this would happen.”

Ari: “I-it's not bad master. Don't worry …. I am sorry ….”

Jacky: “ …. it's okay. That was my fault too. SARA STOP STARING AT HER!”

Sara: “Right, right~”

Ari was in an apologetic mood. While Sara was enjoying the sight. Olward seemed more fascinate by the [Magic] then the nude Ari. What a bunch …. Never mind ….

Jacky: “Any ideas how to stop that?”

Olward: “Hmm. We tried already. [Water Magic], [Wind Magic] and [Earth Magic]. Even [Healing Magic] and [Anti-Curse Magic] didn't work.”

Jacky: “ ….”

Sara: “Ari was buried~ With just a pipe to breath trough~ The pipe burnt~ And she was excavated again~ Still burning.”

Jacky: “ ….”

Sara: “I blocked the view as good as I could~ So the guards didn't get to see her.”

At least Sara had some amount of decent friendship and shame in her. But with that grin on her face, she's enjoying this way too much.

Olward: “It should stop soon anyways.”

Jacky: “How come your that sure about it?”

Olward: “You casted that magic to protect her from damage. The flames seemed to have worked like an extra speed boost. Even pushed away the walls that were in the way.”

Jacky: “ ….”

Olward: “Oh yeah. I forgot. We are banned from using the garden. You ended up burning that area around the first wall. The fire was hardly suppressed by a bunch of court magicians. It more likely went out on itself~”

Olward: “Ari's footsteps even left some burn marks in the stone floor~”

Gah …. I might need to hide from that gardener forever. I hope the damage wasn't that bad ….

Olward: “Ari ended up. Hmm, I think it was around 8 or so walls. Yes, she broke trough around 8 walls. Till she slowed down and crash landed in an funny pose.”

Sara: “Yes, that sight was wonderful~”

Ari: “ ….”

Jacky: “ …. you two …. want to run a bit?”

Olward: “Haha~”

Olward took it with a laugh. While looking at me he stopped and made an rather apologetic facial expression. Sara just sheepishly smiled at me. Yeah, I would have wanted to see that pose too. I can imagine that Ari, laying face down and ass up.

Olward: “Sorry. Let's focus.”

Jacky: “Yes.”

Olward: “So why do I think it will stop? Simply said, your [Mana] should run out anytime soon. We can now finally check the overall amount and what is left. As your awake now.”

Jacky: “AH! That's right! Without [Mana] even if I am keeping that up unconsciously. It should stop.”

That's rather simple. I remember that we didn't talk about much about [Mana]. I hope it's that simple.

Jacky: “We can check that now. But anyways. I won't use [Power] for the time being. I don't want Ari to end up in some monstrous form …. If I accidentally see the need to change her that way in my consciousness ….”

Imagine Ari as a gorilla like monster. Arms and torso being multiplied in muscle force …. The legs being strained with pulsating veins. And the whole body enveloped in flames with death round eyes, filled with blood lust. While sharp looking fangs protrude out of her mouth. Uwaah …. yeah, no experimenting till I can control myself fully …. My imagination can be quite messed up ….

Olward: “Hold this cube in your hands.”

Jacky: “Okay. Let's see.”

I did just hold the cube in my hand. It began to make a rattling noise. But was unmoving.

Jacky: “Hmm.”

Olward: “Just relax, there will be just a number as with the last one. Shouldn't take long.”

Staring at the cube in my hand. The rattling didn't die down for a few minutes. Then finally some numeric values appeared in smokey form.

Jacky: “That's a rather large amount left …. What does that third number mean?”

Olward: “ ….”

Jacky: “Olward?”

Olward's eyes seemed to pop out any moment now. His mouth opens and closes like a fish out of an water tank. While the first number slowly decreased with time. Even Sara had an deadpan look. Ari couldn't decide if she should be happy or sad somehow. What's up? Is that an really high value …. can't be. I am a [Hero] but this body shouldn't have more power then before …. I’m not really strong or anything.

Jacky: “Olward?!”

Olward: “Ah, yes. Facinating ….”

Jacky: “ …. it's bad ….”

Olward: “No, not bad …. just. A normal Human has about 100~500 [Mana]. An court magician has about 1000~5000 [Mana]. The persons which body your now using had about 8000 [Mana]. That value is just crazy.”

Jacky: “ ….”

Olward looked trough the numbers again. And began calculating something with an abacus. Number crunching?

Olward: “Hmm, so it's like that.”

Jacky: “What ….”

Olward: “You have a rather large amount of [Mana] at your hands. But the regeneration is really slow in comparison. For a normal human 131,5 [Mana] per hour …. would be dreamlike. But for you to regenerate your full amount. You would need about 100 days.”

Jacky: “ ….”

Olward: “And letting the [Mana] run out doesn't seem to be an option. The upkeep of that [Magic] on Ari, is barely more then the regeneration speed you have.”

…. Oh yes, fuck.

Jacky: “How can we cancel it out then ….”

Olward: “ ….”

Yeah. Olward seems to have no idea too. I looked at Ari again, she was still kneeling in the chimney like before. These flames from what are they fueled. What does the [Mana] convert to to make them ….

A silence spread trough the room.

*GROWWWllLWWWWRRRR*

Huh? My stomach. Okay, that was one load growling right there. I didn't ate any dinner …. but it shouldn't ….

Jacky: “AH!”

Olward: “!?”

Jacky: “I got it! Ari !”

I stood up and moved myself to the chimney. I finally understood something. [Flame Magic]=[Oxygen and Burnables]=[Mana] that is clear. But from what comes [Mana]?! From food! It must be so! So [Food]=[Mana]. That means!

I got closer to Ari. It's really hot directly beside her. But I should be able to do this.

Jacky: “Ari, sit there and don't move.”

Ari: “YES?!”

I tried to envision the flames as [Food]. They sure looked somehow tasty coming from Ari's body. I extended my hand. Grabbing a part of the flames with my hand.

Jacky: “ ….”

Olward: “!”

And shoved it into my mouth. It wasn't that hot. Maybe about 40 or so Celsius. It burned my tongue and trout a bit. But I could swallow it down nicely. The part of the flame I ate from Ari's body didn't come back. Olward was in a frenzy, shouting “Amazing!” all around. Sara was just staring at me. While I was continuing to eat away on the flames.

After a few minutes, I finished it finally. Ari wasn't covered in flames anymore. I don't need to explain, that I needed to touch her everywhere to grab the remains of the flames. Directly from her body~

So to avoid the hindrance that were the other two. I send them out. And commanded Ari around, mostly into strange poses to reach the flames better. Like stretching out her leg to me. Or turning her back, while leaning back a bit. I may have gone a bit overboard ….

Jacky: “Finally. This should be it.”

Ari: “ ….”

Afterward Ari didn't look me into the eyes for the rest of the day. We didn't sleep together too. And only Sara went with me into the bath complex ….

I somehow got two nicknames I didn’t want from that accident. [Magic Eater Hero] and [Master Pervert Hero] …. I heard the first one a lot. The second one only trough Sara. As she teased me, that all the palace personnel were talking about me like that behind my back. I hope it's not true …. but it's accurate. That was more fun then I wanted to admit …. My tongue and trout still burns a bit. No one wanted to heal these minor wounds …. I hope [Soul Magic] is less dangerous …. in these regards.

Before I went to sleep. I ate together with the royalty again. Gustav was asking away like an waterfall. The queen wasn't taking any action. As same as before, everyone except Gustav left early. And I was the last one to leave, after I ate a massive amount of food. I checked with the cube. My [Mana] went up more then it should with the hourly regeneration. So I am truly right about that ….

Plans about whacking Ari in shape, were postponed for now.
