I'm Oliver just a normal person who is already sick of the daily grind, a boss that hates me, coworkers that could care less if I died, and little impact on the world. In the morning today when I got up and ready for work, I turned on the news to see if anything interesting happened today. nothing new a few people returned from being summoned as heroes, that would be pretty cool to be respected and leave a mark. but only 1 in a million get summoned so the odds aren't in my favor.

The alarm on my phone went off guess I'm late for work better get going as I start walking to work, I notice a women drop her wallet in the middle of the street while she's busy with an ornery kid, so I walk over to pick it up and head over to hand it to her when I get blinded by lights. A teen texting while driving hits me with their car and as the world starts to fade to black a golden glow surrounds me, just my luck summoned after being splattered on the pavement, as the world fully fades to black.
