"Everyone gather round, we're about to begin, the final stage of a the entrance exams." 

"Del, we better get going."

"Yeah Mr.Ember."

"Just hold on, I'm getting my crap on."

Yes my name is Del Ember, and yes I'm a Phoenix, well no one actually knew that at the time but my dumbass accidently revealed it at those exams.

The exams were for recruitment for tier 1 guilds. In this world there are two types of guilds where warriors and mages alike fight for the re-control of the land named Prisosha, tier 2 which has thousands of small guilds scattered throughout and then there is tier 1, which has only 5 guilds filled with the most skilled fighters.

Prisosha was not that long ago a peacful land until Angels came falling from the sky and demons came rising from the ground, instantly erupting into battle destroying quite a bit of land, guilds were created to collect fighters and center them at stopping the meaningless fighting but over time the humans were the ones who gained more casualties. Humans couldn't agree on who to side with so 2 factions were made to side with the demons, 1 faction was made to side with demons, and the final was made to keep fighting despite the casualties. I grew up in faction who decided to keep fighting, Crocuda Dynasty.

From a young age, I formed a group with my two best friends.

Alyson Winters, being that I was an orphan, her family was the one that took me in, I've known her since childhood. She was always the prettiest in are little village, long blonde hair, with sharp red highlights at the ending of each strand of hair, and mesmerizing blue eyes, from that you should be able to tell she was wanted by everyone, I often protected her from the pervs that tried attacking her, so it's safe to say we had a good bond.

Kazef Stronhower, a bit of a hothead but he also grew up with both me and Alyson, I don't really know about his past, mostly because he's older than me and appeared just as randomly as I did except he was already a child, unlike me who was a baby. Kazef usually has a few bangs hide his left eye due to a scar he got from god knows what, the one you actually can see is brown, he looks kind of basic but he is a kind hearted guy.

Together we created a group called Hellblaze, but I didn't get far enough to see how Hellblaze would do.

"Everyone group together with your partners, for the final stage of the entrance exam we'll have you spar with a fellow group, and don't worry we have the best healing mage in the kingdom, Lin Argumeth here so don't worry about not going all out." 

"Good I didn't really plan on it from the start anyways." I said stretching preparing to fight.

All the matchs went by really quickly, must have been the adrenaline, but before I knew our match was about to begin.

"Last match, Hellblaze against the Roaring Mountain Panthers." The announcer almost seemed like he was on edge maybe because of excitement or something.

"What's the gameplan, Del?" Alyson asked.

"You get the red head on the left, and Kazef you take on the guy with blonde hair over to the left, I'll handle the guy with blue hair in the middle." I ordered waiting for the starting bell to go off.

"BIIINNGGGG!" That was it, with the bell sounded Alyson and Kazef went for their respective matchups, while me and the other leader waited evaluating the situation.

"What's wrong don't want to fight me, we both specialize in fire magic, Maozureth." I provoked.

"Well your right about that, here I come, Del!" Maozureth attempting firing a beam of fire at me but was that was easily avoided.

"That won't hit me." I remarked.

"You think I didn't know that?" Maozureth questioned angrily chucking a ball of water at me hitting my forearm, which in case you didn't know I'm a Phoenix, which is a flaming bird therefore water hurts like a bitch.

"Shit." I cursed grasping my forearm trying to prevent the steam coming out of my body to cross everyone's view.

If he hits one more time with water that might be the end of the control I have over my inner spirit.

"Mountain Tsunami!" 

Before I knew it Maozureth created a giant Tsunami that came rushing at me engufling me in its waves only for me to be stopped by an unknown barrier.

"You can thank me later, Del!" Alyson yelled saving me from afar.

I didn't even realize with the little control I had left that I had turned part Phoenix, revealing to everyone my true form.

"It's a Phoenix."

"There's no way one of the top recruits is a Phoenix."

"Hey get him out of here we don't like your kind."

Those were the only words I could hear, while I managed to stand up, it almost felt like I was looking into an imaginary mirror, as I could only imagine what I looked like. I probably had an aura of fire, with my signature wings of lava, and not only that but what I would eventually learn later on is that a Phoenix in it's true form, has the body heat of the surface of the sun.

"Del?" Alyson and Kazef questioned quietly in unison.

I only managed to obtain enough control to see what was happening as I charged at Maozureth almost killing him from the heat, and not to long after my inner spirit somehow summoned a flaming sword which impaled Maozureth.

While stabbing Maozureth I felt overwhelming prescences as all the leaders of the 5 guilds that were in attendance all of them took action spraying water at me, and to my disappointment Alyson who was other then me the only person in our group who could use magic was creating Mountain Tsunamis, which pummeled me.

After the bombardment of attacks freed Maozureth from my grasp, I thought to myself how to get out.

"I have to leave, I have to leave." I grumbled out loud contuinously repeating the same words.

To get out I used my wings to take flight and leave the colosseum which the exam's were taking place in, while I still was getting attacked by water.

A couple hours later I suddenly emerged out of my previous state still shaken by what happened to me. 

"I've got to hide."
