"You humans constantly embrace the devil's warmth, punishment must be enacted by my will!"
"Wh..who was that?"
"Kekekeke, father had finally lost it, it's time to reign Hell on Earth!"
"Father, you cannot! Humans can be good, you mustn't do this!"
"Quiet all of you! My command is law!"
"Sorry father, but I won't stand for this, I will side with the humans once again"
"You dare question my order? If you leave now, you may never again return to Heaven!"
Was someone playing a joke on him?
"These bastards..." He mumbled in annoyance and anger.
"If it's fine with you, father, I'd like to start the apocalypse now"
"Yes, begin immediately"
"You are all too much! Humans, if you are listening to this, I know you may be confused but, please overcome the coming apocalypse and work together to survive! I will give each and every one of you the power to face dangerous situations, farewell humans, I have faith!"
"You dare! Come take your punishment!"
It sounded like a thunderous clap, quick and precise, like a flyswatter swatting a fly. If he was to assume, the man who had faith in humans was killed by his father. Then there was the more sinister sounding voice, the one who wanted to start the apocalypse.
"Hey, why are you guys playing around with me like this? If you want to kill me, then just kill me dammit!"
He yelled and yelled for someone to end his misery, but there was no response. Suddenly, a bright big ball of light descended through the ceiling. His eyes went as wide as a camels' back. The sight was magnificent and eerie at the same time, it was as if a heavenly entity was calling out to him. The light emitted a warm and fuzzy heat and began to descend slowly and innocently while waddling side to side like a duckling following its mother.
He reached out his hand unconsciously, it was an instinct hidden deep in the heart. A single tear had fallen down his face as the light was absorbed into his body. He didn't know why he had cried just then, but all he knew was that he should.
There was no more light, it was gone, but he could feel it in his bones, and his brain, his organs, his arms and leg and his blood. It was as if he has taken love in its celestial form by swallowing it whole.
'Was this the thing that power that was given to us?'
'I don't feel anything speci...'

Suddenly, a bunch of words appeared in his mind.

"What is this? Is this the ratings of my sins? It does look accurate..."
'Wait, doesn't this mean this is real? It's happening? I'm not going crazy or hallucinating or anything but is the apocalypse really happening?'
"......"
".........."
"HahahaHAHha..."
'I don't know why I'm laughing, but it looks like I'm really going to die a virgin...'
'I don't have anyone to love anyway, there is no point in living anymore, maybe I should just accept my fate...'
".........."
As your greatest sin is Sloth, you shall be given the class of Sloth.
Please choose a Beginners Sloth Ability.
[Note, you can only choose one, which will be your designated pathway, please choose wisely]
A: [Claws of Sloths - Permanently hold a single retractable claw in both knuckles, able to cut through common trees]
B: [Sweet Dreams - When sleeping, your body regenerates at a much faster rate]
C: [Good Night - Shoot a manifestational pulse towards a target which does magical damage and offers a small chance to sleep]
'So this is what the power is supposed to be...'
'But why do we get sin themed abilities? Shouldn't we get something more holy? I guess the celestial being meant for us to fight fire with fire in this apocalypse...'
'Will any of these abilities even help me escape?'
Would he even want to escape? He is already in hell, and what's waiting for him outside is an even worse hell. Sometimes he just wants to lay back and let fate roll the dices. The only single thing that tethers him to the realm of the living is that he still believes in love, which is a naive thought. No one loves him, not even his parents.
Jon Jovhoski was kidnapped.
Sitting inside a cell all alone with barely any food to eat, he had been locked up for approximately two months. His capturer's intention was to blackmail his parents into paying a sizeable paycheck for his release, but it seems that they refuse to pay any cent.
Being alone in a cold wet cell does a number on people. His only way to hold latch himself onto sanity was to live in his dreams. He constantly created his own world in his mind and lived in them so he doesn't have to think about reality too much. His most common dreams are obviously about love, but for some reason, they always end in disaster...
Why must he always be obsessed with relationships? Is it because he was deprived of any real-life social communication? Hell, he didn't even have any friends!
He shook his head before thinking clearly on the matter in front of him.
'All three abilities are actually very useful'
A: Could possibly help him cut through the lock on the door, freeing him.
B: Could help him regenerate and replenish his sickly body. There is a chance that this ability will also solve his hunger. His body is very weak and skinny due to being greatly starved most of the time. Maybe he could essentially live forever? But only if sleeping helps replenish lost nutrients.
C: This is useful if his capturers walk into his cell. Shooting them down with an energy pulse and stealing their key sounds satisfying. There is also a chance of causing them to sleep.
'But there is a lot of what ifs'
What if the claws from ability A isn't enough to break open the lock? It could be used to attack the enemies if they enter the cell, but within his weakened state, it is wishful thinking that he would be able to inflict any damage to them this way.
Ability B making him immortal seems too good to be true, what if he is just overrating the ability and it doesn't replenish lost nutrients to satiate his hunger. The only positive right for this in his current situation is to rejuvenate his weakened state just by sleeping, making him return back to 100% health.
Ability C seems like the best choice if the enemy does indeed enter. But that just it, or maybe not. Maybe the energy pulse can be used to shoot open the lock?
'If I was already outside, I may have chosen B, being able to regenerate in the apocalypse is a very strong ability, there may be deadly disease everywhere and if there are monsters... As long as you can run and hide, any of your wounds will be mended.'
'If I want to get out, A would be the best option, but with my weakly body, I won't be able to do much against the enemies if they are still here in whatever damn location I reside in...'
'C could also break the lock, but is least likely than A, but this is the best option to fight against other people, or monsters if there are any in this apocalypse. With a weak body, it seems to rely on this magical energy as an attack form makes more sense than relying on your physical body.
'It seems that I can't make a decision...'
"Maybe my indecisiveness is what would kill me in this apocalypse" Jon openly mocked himself before laying silently on the cold hard ground.
"Maybe I should let you guys decide what I should pick?" Jon suddenly looked up towards the ceiling and saw many faces of people with different age and races. Jon likes to call these people spectators, he depends on these people to make a decision for him when he can't make a choice.
He has been seeing these people after one month of his imprisonment and he is aware that he is hallucinating.
