Chapter 30: Troll Shaman (II)
The battlefield echoed with the heavy thudding of footsteps and the primal roars of trolls as they converged on Odin. Trolls (1) and (2) charged at him simultaneously, their massive axes raised high, ready to cleave through him.
The air vibrated with their War Cries.
"Chwiik! Is human! Kill it! Use the ears for Spell."
"Break bones! Make blood brew! Feast after kill!"
Odin's sharp gaze darted between the two incoming beasts.
[Troll Warrior - LV.115](Normal)(20,125/20,125 HP)
His eyes narrowed as he processed their words mid-battle.
'A spell? Ears? So, they have been targeting the Fullbaz Villagers for something?'
'I see, it might be worth investigating, since I heard there have been some missing people that weren't found inside Fullbaz Refugee Camp.'
'For now, let's focus on this fight.'
He could feel the weight of their murderous intent, but he stood unflinching. He was used to the mean looks of the monsters. Top of the charts for him were the Draconians and Orcs.
With that mindset for the upcoming battle, he strengthened his grip on Soulrend Blade.
Odin met the attack head-on as the first troll swung its axe downward in a vicious arc.
'Stalwart Parry'
[User has consumed 50 MP]
With a swift, fluid motion, he brought his blade up and triggered Stalwart Parry, the clang of metal on metal reverberating through the air as he deflected the blow.
The force of the troll's attack reverberated up his arm, but Odin held firm, using the momentum to pivot toward Troll (2).
Before the second troll could bring its axe down, Odin activated Swift Charge, utilizing the momentum generated by the sudden burst of speed, propelling him forward like a shadow cutting through the battlefield.
He collided with Troll (2) first, his blade flashing as he unleashed Piercing Thrust, driving the point of Soulrend deep into the troll's side.
[Critical Hit!]
[You have dealt 7,250 damage to the target.]
But Odin wasn't finished.
Without missing a beat, with an engaging BGM playing in his ears, he seamlessly transitioned into 'Whirling Blade', spinning in place as his sword carved a deadly arc through the air.
The sweeping strike tore deeper into Troll (2) and slashed across Troll (1), who had recovered from the parry and attempted another strike.
[You have dealt 3,091 damage to the target.]
[Critical Hit!]
[You have dealt 5,698 damage to the target.]
Both trolls roared in pain as the shockwave from Odin's attack knocked them back, their health gauges continuing to dip.
The battlefield shifted again. Troll (3), the one whose throat had been sliced earlier by the Manifestation of Will, had fully recovered from the throat slash thanks to its regeneration ability, but his Health Gauge was at 70%.
With a rage-filled roar, it barreled toward Odin from his flank. Its axe raised high for a killing blow.
Odin sensed the incoming danger, turning just in time to meet the assault.
'Pathetic, your attacks are so telegraphed. I could block them using only a knife.'
The troll's axe came crashing down, but Odin was faster.
'Stalwart Parry'
He executed a second Stalwart Parry, his blade catching the heavy weapon in mid-air and deflecting it with a powerful twist.
Sparks flew as the weapons clashed, and Odin's body tensed from the force of the impact.
[You have suffered 114 damage]
'A small price to pay. It's still annoying that Stalwart doesn't have a complete parry effect where I null all the incoming damage of the blow.'
'Well, it might as well be because of the Strength difference between me and this Troll.'
The troll snarled, its massive muscles straining as it tried to overpower him, but Odin held his ground. He kicked out with his long leg in one fluid motion, planting his boot squarely into the troll's chest.
"Human! Strong... but you will die here. We break you, we take you. You hurt, we enjoy!"
Odin's voice was steady, mocking."What? Aren't you enjoying hurting others? Seems like the fun's over for you."
The force of the kick sent the troll stumbling backward, giving Odin the space he needed.
The troll's eyes widened, rage flickering behind its yellow irises as it braced for Odin's next strike.
'Horizon Slash'
[User has consumed 175 MP]
Without hesitation, he unleashed Horizon Slash, a wide, horizontal sweep of his sword that created a shockwave, cutting through the air like a razor.
The energy from the attack ripped through the space between them, brutally crashing into all three trolls. The trolls recoiled, their health bars dropping further as blood sprayed from fresh wounds.
Troll (3), having just recovered from its earlier injury, staggered, its body trembling as it struggled to regain balance. But Odin was relentless.
'There's no escaping this time.'
He surged forward with Rapid Assault, his sword immediately turning into a blur as he struck Troll (3) with the swift four strikes at its vital points. Then, to keep his momentum, he struck the Troll with a flurry of five rapid, brutal, basic strikes.
Each blow landed with exact accuracy of the points he wanted to cut, cutting deep into the troll's thick hide.
By this point, the Trolls wanted to kill Odin at all price for the pain and anguish caused, but when Troll (3) was swinging his axe before the monster could react, Odin activated Swift Charge once more, slamming at the beast with the intent of triggering the 0.5 seconds stun.
The troll's eyes widened, its body paralyzed from the impact, and it could only watch the evil smirk on the human's face.
Since 'Swift Charge' was a bootleg version of his reliable 'Courageous Charge' that had a 100% chance of stunning a target for 1.5 seconds, there was a 50% chance of not triggering the stun and only leaving it at that, with insignificant damage from the slam.
Since the Stun worked, Odin seized the opportunity without hesitation.
He raised Soulrend above his head, channeling his strength into his next attack.
The blade gleamed with dark energy as he brought it crashing down with a resounding thud, executing Mighty Strike.
[User has consumed 350 MP]
When the blow landed with such ferocity, it nearly cleaved the troll in two.
[ You have dealt 6,752 damage to the target.]
The creature released a pitiful gurgle as its health bar plummeted toward zero.
Its regeneration ability desperately tried to keep it alive, its flesh knitting back together at an alarming speed, but Odin wasn't about to let it escape the cold grasp of death.
'Urgh, I was expecting a crit from 'Mighty Strike' since most of my hits were normal ones. So much for having a high Crit Chance.'
'Feels like a scam when you actually need it.'
Odin closed the gap with the Troll and immediately drove his sword forward with a vicious 'Piercing Thrust', having the tip of Soulrend sink deep into the Troll's heart.
[ You have dealt 3,488 damage to the target.]
'...'
'Alright, maybe today I'm just unlucky.'
The creature's eyes went wide, its body convulsing as life drained from it.
[Troll Warrior - LV.115](Normal)(2,255/20,125 HP) (+85 HP/s)
'Insane HP regen for those Trolls. I take my eyes off them for a minute and they are almost full health.'
The damaging sequence left the Troll reeling closer to the Death's Door, but with the S-rated Regeneration Skill/Passive, it wouldn't be a miracle if it escaped from the Lady's Death cold embrace.
However, Odin didn't allow such a scenario to happen, and even when the Piercing Thrust didn't do the job by not doing critical damage, he twisted the blade for good measure, causing another hit to the monster, and with a final, savage cut as he withdrew the blade, decapitated the Troll using a simple Basic Attack.
Finally, this last attack finished the job.
The troll collapsed into a heap of lifeless flesh, its regeneration unable to keep up with the damage.
[You have slain the Troll (Normal), gaining the following rewards: 28,500 EXP, Troll's Bone Fragment (Common), Troll's Tough Hide (Common), Troll Blood (Rare), 95 Silver Coins.]
Odin stood over the fallen troll, his calm demeanor always following him as he scanned the battlefield for the next target to follow Death's teachings.
After Odin decapitated Troll (3), and the lifeless body hit the ground, Troll (1) and Troll (2) glanced at the fallen body of their comrade, their fury reaching a boiling point.
The two remaining trolls snarled in unison, their voices filled with vengeance.
"You killed Skraag! We kill you! We drink your blood, human!"
"Skraag strong... you cheat! No honor! Human will suffer!"
Odin turned his gaze toward them, his expression devoid of empathy, his voice as cold as the steel imbued with the powers of the Undead in his hands. He shrugs slightly, his lips curling into a faint, mocking smile.
"Cheat? You call that cheating?" He wiped the blood off his blade with a deliberate motion, eyes never leaving the trolls. "I call it being efficient. But I suppose that's a bit beyond your understanding, isn't it?"
The trolls growled in response, their knuckles tightening around their weapons.
Odin took a step forward, his stance relaxed, but his sword glimmered with dark energy. It made the Trolls stay fully altered because they realized that this Human was as strong as them, if not even stronger.
Then came his voice that dropped to a deadly whisper, sarcasm lacing every word. However, to their ears, it sounded like some Demonic Creature was making fun of them and mocking them every single chance.
"No honor? Please. What would a mindless brute like you know about honor? You hunt the weak, slaughter for sport, and now you think I am the dishonorable one?"
"What's wrong with me, hunting you down? Aren't we the same? Dishonorable beasts when it matters?"
He chuckled darkly, twirling Soulrend in his hand with casual ease, but mana began taking effect around his feet as he walked toward the Trolls.
"As for your friend? What can I say? He died like the rest of you will… pathetically. But don't worry, you'll join him soon enough."
His eyes glinted with a lethal calm as he raised his blade again.
'Blade Dash'
[User has consumed 500 MP]
[User's Movement Speed has been increased by 30% for 5 minutes. Cooldown: 30 minutes]
"Now, which one of you wants to die first?"
--
As Odin activated Blade Dash, his body surged almost unnaturally, his movements becoming a blur as he appeared next to the Troll's body akin to a shadow.
Soulrend hummed with dark energy, its edge gleaming in the muted light of the forest.
The two remaining trolls, Troll (1) and Troll (2) hesitated for only a moment before roaring in defiance, swinging their massive axes wildly as they tried to follow Odin's rapid movements.
But Odin was far too quick.
'Soul Slash'
As he swings the sword, the energy coalesces into a crescent-shaped arc of shadowy light, trailing behind the blade in a streak of dark brilliance. The arc expands outward, shimmering with deep purples and blacks, cleaving through the first Troll like it was butter.

Next, he dashed forward, his sword slicing cleanly through the air as he launched a flurry of attacks, his strikes so fast that the trolls could barely react in time.
Troll (1), the larger of the two, attempted to bring its axe down in a mighty overhead strike, but Odin sidestepped the blow effortlessly.
His sword lashed out in a wide arc, carving a deep gash across the troll's chest. Blood sprayed from the wound as the troll staggered back, its health bar plummeting.
Without hesitation, Odin pivoted and aimed his next attack at Troll (2).
The creature snarled and swung its axe horizontally in a desperate attempt to catch him, but Odin ducked beneath the swing and drove Soulrend upward, piercing the troll's side.
The blade twisted cruelly, and with a flick of his wrist, Odin withdrew it, leaving a gaping wound. The troll roared in agony, its health regeneration kicking in as it tried to heal, but Odin wasn't about to give it a chance.
"Pathetic. You're all the same…so predictable."
He pressed the attack, taking advantage of the boost from Blade Dash, chaining his skills effortlessly, showing off that he wasn't one of the best swordsmen in Satisfy World for nothing.
Similarly to Kraugel, Odin had one of the Highest Sword Mastery, being at Intermediate Sword Mastery level 8, climbing quickly to level 9 as he was making use of Basic Attacks and crappy Common and Rare Sword Skills.
The troll staggered, gripping its weapon tighter as blood sprayed from the wound. Its eyes filled with fury and disbelief. It bellowed in pain and rage.
"You… human! You fight dirty! Trolls stronger! We never lose to you!"
His next attack was Piercing Thrust, driving his blade deep into Troll (1)'s heart. The monster's eyes went wide as it fell to its knees, its life draining away.
"No... strong... Skraag… kill you…"
"You trolls always think brute strength will save you. Skraag? He's already rotting beneath my feet. You'll join him soon."
What Odin wasn't aware of now was that this 'Skraag', instead of being the 1st Troll Warrior that he killed, was their Troll God that they venerated. His dismissive actions, arrogant and cold against the brutes, would make a certain God not too keen on this particular Human Knight wielding the powers of Titans.
With a quick, decisive strike, Odin decapitated the troll with a simple Basic Attack, sending its head rolling across the ground.
"You're strong. Just not strong enough for me."
Seeing his comrade dying and even hearing his God being defiled by the Human it enraged Troll (2) further, making him enter a state of rage that clouded all judgment and thought to process.
"You die next! I crush you, human! Skraag will feast on your bones!"
"Uh-huh, spare me the theatrics and lunge at me, beast."
Troll (2), now alone, roared in fury, but Odin moved too quickly for it to react.
His sword danced through the air as he unleashed a final Whirling Blade followed by a Mighty Strike chained seemingly, as if they were part of the same Skill, carving into the troll with devastating force.
The creature's body was torn apart by the relentless assault, its health bar reduced to nothing in mere moments.
"Not… fair…! You fight… like coward…"
Its voice gurgled as it collapsed, reduced to a mangled heap, its health bar fully drained before it could finish its curse.
"Fairness is for the weak. Your mistake was thinking you could win against me."
This was the simplest and most straightforward method at annihilating Trolls. Don't give them the chance to regenerate their HP and make the fight into a battle of attributions.
Against a monster of such scheming tactics, an inexperienced player would either be drained of their Stamina Energy making them incapable of taking the battle ahead, or being drained by their Mana from overextending their abilities.
Either way, a noob would be chewed and spit dry by those Troll Warriors.
With the Blade Dash buff still active, Odin used his Manifestation of Will, creating an intangible, invisible sword made only out of his Willpower, to plunge the blade straight into the heart of one Goblin, drawing its full attention.
"What... is this...? Magic? Strong! Too strong…!"
Its voice shook as it realized the futility of trying to fight back. The goblin barely managed a pathetic swing of its dagger before Odin, in a blur of motion, struck the creature down with a single, clean slash of Soulrend, ending its life instantly.
'You're weak, slow, and utterly useless. Hahh, I really hate goblins.'
Similarly, he threw a bomb toward another Goblin that Purphoros was entertaining, drawing its aggro too.
As Odin threw a bomb at the second goblin, Goblin (2) yelped in panic, skittering backward as the explosion rocked the area. It looked around wildly, disoriented and caught in the blast, its small, beady eyes locking onto Odin as it realized it was being hunted.
"No! You no kill me! I fast! I escape…"
But Odin was already upon it. The goblin barely managed to utter a final plea before his sword came crashing down, splitting its body in two. Its death was swift, and its cowardly words were lost to the forest as its blood soaked into the earth.
He wanted to make short work of those goblins while his buffs were active.
He darted between them with surgical precision, dispatching each one he fished from Purphoros with a single well-placed strike.
Soulrend cleaved through their frail bodies, leaving behind a trail of gore and lifeless husks. The goblins never stood a chance, far too slow, weak, and uncoordinated to even muster a defense against the Red-Eyed Knight.
In less than a minute, all three goblins lay dead on the forest floor, their blood staining the ground beneath them.
'These ones didn't even put up a fight.'
Odin straightened, brushing off the gore from his Lycanthrope Armor that he didn't even use at its full capacity, with a practiced motion. He hasn't yet found the right opportunity to try the Werewolf Transformation, but he could feel it approaching.
His breath was steady, his expression as calm as ever, as if the battle had been nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
Until now, his resource expenditure was minimal, and his Stamina Energy barely touched (80/100).
Meanwhile, the same couldn't be said for Malfurion, Purphoros, and Elyse who struggled facing the Trolls and Goblins initially, but now that Odin took care of all the goblins. It only left the Troll Warrior trio to be taken down, and since his party members wounded them, it made things easier for him.
[You have slain the Goblin (Normal), gaining the following rewards: 15,500 EXP, Goblin's Ear (Common) ×2, Goblin's Leather Scrap (Common) ×1, Weapon Enhancement Stone ×1, 52 Silver Coins]
[You have leveled up! Congratulations on reaching level 79.]
The end was imminent for the Trolls, who couldn't match the combined power of the entire team.
Similarly, his party members experienced a new level up, their resources, mana, and health were replenished, and their bodies reinvigorated after the grueling battle.
It was as if they had been given a second wind, the exhaustion of the fight melting away as the thrill of leveling up coursed through them.
The forest now fell into a heavy silence. The corpses of trolls and goblins littered the ground, blood soaking into the earth.
Odin stood in the center of it all, his sword resting at his side as he took in the aftermath of the ambush.
His sharp eyes scanned the horizon, making sure no more threats were lurking in the shadows, and there were none. Based on how the Devs liked to build their encounters, what would follow now was a stronger Elite monster with some role in a Quest or a Boss.
One could debate online all day on what should be expected inside a Dungeon or Labyrinth.
Satisfied that the battle was over, he sheathed Soulrend and walked over to his companions, his demeanor calm as ever. Purphoros, Malfurion, and Elyse joined him, expressing relief and satisfaction, especially for the Tanker, who had to experience dealing with big damage once in his life.
"Well, that was mildly entertaining." He glanced around at the fallen enemies. "Let's take a moment. Gather ourselves, and we'll advance from here."
They nodded in agreement, each taking a brief respite to recover from the adrenaline dump, gathering around Odin, seated on a mossy log that his Horizon Slash cut down.
Elyse, wiping the sweat from her brow, flicked her wrist and conjured a small flame to burn away the bloodstains on her robes. Her fiery eyes glowed with excitement, her voice carrying a tinge of pride.
"I'll admit, I thought we were in trouble for a second there. But that last barrage? Ha! Those trolls didn't know what hit them."
" I could've roasted them quicker if they weren't walking lumps of meat."
However, when Odin looked up at her with his life-draining crimson eyes, she suddenly got meek, even if he didn't talk to her. Just receiving his attention made her get butterflies in her stomach. After all, which woman wouldn't get from a high-value man with the body of a model?
"Guildmaster, you make us look like real noobs. You sliced through them like butter, even the Trolls weren't much against you. Next time, leave me something to burn, will you?"
"Uh-huh." She was acknowledged, but Odin was reflecting on his performance, replaying the fight recording from start to finish.
Malfurion, who had shifted between his forms during the fight, stood nearby, his usual calm demeanor replaced by a rare hint of exhilaration as he got a clue about the Quest he was undertaking, the [Nature's Resurgence].
"There's signs of corruption around us, Boss. It will take a while for me to clear it."
"Go ahead."
While his companions exchanged words, Odin remained silent, standing slightly apart. His thoughts were elsewhere, his gaze distant as he replayed the battle.
'I was prepared that something like this would happen by power leveling through the content.'
'The powerscale of the Beginner Warrior/Swordsman/Knight Skills that I earned using the Skill Books I bought or looted, isn't sufficient. How much can I go ahead using some Common-rated junk even if they are MAX LV.?'
'Still, I can evolve those skills when I activate the Blessings, mainly Fire and Wind, turning them into what would be the Equivalent of an Epic-rated Skill, but is conditional.'
'Five minutes is not much against a Boss mob at high-level.'
'I need to get myself a Second Class at all costs.'
'...'
'After doing the Behen Archipelago to the highest stage I can touch, I should return to Gravelmark and meet with the old man, I might be capable of redoing the Quest-chain of gaining the Knight Skill-Tree.'
'But then again… What if I lose the Saharan Successor Class, degrading to a Rare-rate as a simple Knight?'
'Then comes the Black Knight Class Change. I doubt that pig Rolan would reconfer me with the Titles…'
In those moments, Odin was going deep into a rabbit hole, losing himself in his thoughts, but then when the 15-minute timer he had set for the break rang, he snapped back to reality.
'If worse comes to shove, I might as well build myself a Hybrid Class by acquiring the Skills of any Class. Saharan Successor is already, lowkey a Hybrid Type, offering support both in Strength and Intelligence Category.'
The atmosphere shifted as Odin and his party advanced deeper into the heart of the Troll's Den.
The air grew thick with a palpable sense of dread, a faint stench of decay lingering in the cool, damp caverns. Faint echoes of chanting reverberated off the stone walls, drawing their attention toward the source of an eerie, pulsating light ahead.
They approached cautiously, their footsteps muffled by the dirt beneath them.
Odin's red eyes pierced through the dimness, scanning for threats. His hand rested on Soulrend, ready to unsheathe the blade at a moment's notice.
When they finally entered the chamber, the sight before them was chilling.
At the cavern's center was a summoning circle, its runes glowing a sickly green hue, pulsating with dark energy.
Several villagers from Fullbaz, bound and gagged, lay helpless along the edges of the circle.
Their eyes were wide with terror, their muffled cries barely audible over the chanting. The ground around them was smeared with blood, and a sense of impending doom filled the air.
Standing at the circle's heart was a Troll Matriarch Shaman, her massive form cloaked in ritualistic garments.
[Troll Matriarch Shaman - Frika the Accursed - LV.120](Field-Boss) (25,225/25,225 HP)
Her twisted staff, adorned with the bones of fallen creatures, glowed with an ominous energy.
The air around her shimmered with corruption, the same dark force Malfurion had sensed earlier.
Malfurion's voice was low, filled with tension as he warned Odin of his new finding. "This corruption… it's the same as what's infecting the land of Fullbaz. She could be the source. We have to stop this ritual, or the entire Marquisate could fall under her dark influence."
"I'll fail the Quest if we don't kill her."
At the forefront of the chamber, just outside the summoning circle, stood a Hobgoblin Champion, a hulking brute towering over even the tallest of humans, standing at almost 2 meters.
He was even taller than Odin, who was 1,93 meters tall.
His broad, muscular frame was clad in battered armor, and in his hands, he held a massive sword that gleamed under the flickering torchlight. How he gripped the hilt and the subtle movements of his feet showed that this hobgoblin was no mere brute. He was skilled in the art of combat.
[Hobgoblin Champion - Dazan of the Black Wolves - LV.125](Field-Boss) (58,225/58,225 HP)
The Troll Shaman's chanting slowed as her glowing eyes locked onto Odin and his companions.
A wicked, toothy grin spread across her twisted face, and she raised her staff, pointing it toward them.
"Intrudersss… You dare interrupt my ritual?! Foolsss! You will die here, and your soulsss will feed the ancient one. Champion! Kill them! Leave nothing alive!"
Her voice dripped with malice, and the very ground beneath them seemed to tremble in response. The energy around the summoning circle intensified, swirling around the bound villagers who writhed in fear.
The Hobgoblin Champion stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed the group.
His grip tightened on his sword, his movements slow and deliberate, showing the confidence of a Champion of his Race. There was no rush in his demeanor, only the cold efficiency of a killer who knew what he was doing.
"You… think you can stop this ritual? You won't make it past me. My blade has cut down countless warriors stronger than you. Come... I will carve your defeat into the stone itself."
With a swift motion, he raised his sword, pointing the gleaming blade at Odin, seeing him as the strongest among the group. A dark smile crept onto his scarred face.
"I'll enjoy breaking you, human."
Odin's crimson eyes narrowed, annoyed that such a mutt was taking down him as if he was already seeing himself victorious. His hand instinctively wrapped around Soulrend's hilt tighter as his companions tensed beside him.
His crimson gaze flicked between the shaman and the hulking hobgoblin.

"It's never the easy way with you monsters, is it?"
He stepped forward, the tension in the air growing as his presence darkened the room.
⤷ Odin: "You three take on the Hobgoblin. Leave the witch to me, I have Immunity to Curses. Stay alive while facing the Hobgoblin, think of this as an SS-tier fight. I'll try and kill that whore as quickly as possible."
Without waiting for a response, he drew Soulrend, its blade humming with dark energy as he prepared to face the Hex Witch.
Odin's command left no room for debate. His voice was firm, authoritative, and without hesitation.
Elyse, Malfurion, and Purphoros exchanged glances, their faces fronting their determination as they turned their attention toward the hulking Hobgoblin Champion, Dazan.
The tension in the cavern intensified as they prepared to engage in what could easily be a fight for their lives.
⤷ Elyse: Good luck, Guildmaster. Facing a Boss solo with such a high-level difference is unheard of.
⤷ Malfurion: Odin, tell me when you need a Healing Buff, okay?
⤷ Purphoros: What are you folks worrying about? Aren't you already aware that Odin is a God at Satisfy? He'll fuck that ugly ass Troll hag, that even the demons she's trying to summon will feel pity for them.
"..."
⤷ Odin: Malf, thanks but no thanks. I know how to counter casters, especially Necromancer and Warlocks. Just as Agnus, I've killed that asshole for acting like a rabid dog against me and Eve that I already can dodge his Chaos Bolts by feeling.
⤷ Odin: Just be careful not to get cocky and get murked by that Hobgoblin. I'll link its skills so you understand what I mean.
⤷ Purphoros: Ohh fuck, this goblin on steroids is broken. All of his skills are S-rated, meaning? At least Unique-rated. Okay, not messing around. You heard me, Fire Gall? Tree-hugger?
⤷ Elyse: I'll kill you twice if you screw up and die first.
Elyse flicked her wrist, summoning a ball of searing flame to hover above her palm. Her fiery eyes narrowed as she sized up the towering hobgoblin.
⤷ I'll keep him busy with ranged attacks. Malfurion, you handle the corruption energy if it spills over."
Malfurion, in his beast-like stance, growled low in his throat, his claws glowing with the green energy of nature.
⤷"I'll root him in place as much as I can, but be ready for him to break through."
Purphoros was hyping himself up with some hard slaps over his head before slamming his shield into the ground, the metallic echo reverberating through the chamber.
"Keep behind me, I'll take the brunt of his attacks." His face twisted into a grim smirk as he readied his stance. "Let's see how tough this bastard really is."
Meanwhile, Odin's focus shifted entirely to the Troll Matriarch Shaman, Frika the Accursed. As he stepped forward, his crimson eyes blazed with an eerie light, Soulrend crackling with dark energy in his grip. Frika's twisted smile grew wider as she sensed the approaching threat.
"So, the human leader thinks himself capable of handling my spells?" she hissed, raising her staff high as the sickly green energy of the summoning circle flared in response. "I will break your mind, flesh, and soul, boy."
Odin responded with a cold smile of his own. "I've dealt with worse."
He lowered his stance, Soulrend at the ready, but the blade started giving off deep purples and black lights out of nowhere.
'Soul Slash'
