A pale looking man walks alongside a garden path. Yellow lilies flanking the walkway with patches of yarrows amongst them.
He's dressed in red garb with golden lining, and his trousers are dyed blue.
He grabs a lily with his scarred left hand to bring it close to his face.
His face is shaven and possesses a scar going from his upper lip to bottom of his nose.
His eyes dark brown and cold, examined the flower with care. Taking in every detail, every slight imperfection and insect bites. As he’s observing the flower, a breeze blows through him, his long brown hair flowing freely with it.
After being happy with the state of the flower, he puts it in a small pouch hanging on his waist and continues his walk.
After a little while he gets to a side door to a manor that overlooks a small town that has grown just outside of the manors gates. As he gets inside a tall man with a goblet of red liquid on a tray greets him.
He grabs the silver goblet to take a sip of the drink. A smell of rust climbed to his nose and a slight taste of salt and metal filled his mouth.
He put the goblet back to the tray after he had gulped all of the liquid down.
“I take it to your liking sir.”
“Yes, thank you Audrad.”
“You are welcome, sir.” Audrad bowed gently. “You ready for the main course, sir?”
“Of course.”
Audrad again bowed gently and led his master to a room on the other side of the manor. The room was small and filled with cages and ropes, there was also a strong smell of rust in the air.
On the wall opposite to the door was the body of a woman. Her body was bled from all of its blood and was left next to a man.
The man had few open wounds where blood had been extracted from. His body was otherwise in good shape, he was muscular and was cleaned recently. When the two entered the room the man had raised his head and had a shocked expression on his face.
“Sannrun, my lord. Why have you done this to us? We had been nothing but faithful servants to you and your family.” The man pleaded with the strength that he still could muster from his body and voice.
Sannrun did not answer and kept looking at the man with his cold eyes.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“I beg of you my lord, please let me live.” His voice had started to get hoarse and wouldn’t last for long. “I can, I will, serve you better.”
“That's enough.” Sannrun finally spoke. His voice was gravelly. “Audrad.”
“Yes.”
“Leave.”
“Of course, I hope the taste suits you.” Audrad takes Sannrun’s garb with him and closes the door as he exits the room, leaving Sannrun alone with the man.
“Please, sir let me live.” The man’s voice gives out, making him unable to plead for his live anymore.
The man pleaded and cried as Sannrun transformed into a bestial form. His hands turned into claws and his mouth was filled with sharp teeth and fangs.
He shredded the man's body as he sank his teeth deep into his shoulder. He shewed the flesh off the bones and drank the blood. Just in a few minutes there was nothing more left of the man than broken bones and few spills of blood.
After turning back to his human form and leaving the room, Audrad gave him back his garb.
“Was the taste to your liking, sir?”
“It was nothing special. I should probably try cooking and seasoning the meat next time.”
Audrad nods affirmatively. “I’ll start looking for the next meal then.”
“Thank you Audrad.”
Audrad bows and lets his master walk away. After he’s left his sight Audrad get’s back to the room and collects the bone fragments into a bag. He inspects the woman’s body and notes that Sannrun had not touched her during the feeding.
After gathering all the bones and moving the woman’s body to a corner near the door, he takes the bag full of bone fragments. He takes them to a room with a pit built in the middle of it and throws the bag there.
After a thud from the bag hitting the floor, gnarling can be heard. Soon a sound of the bag tearing and something starts to gnaw on the bones.
Audrad leaves the room and locks the door behind him with a heavy steel lock. He takes a walk to the manor's garden. After a short walk to the east wall of the stonewall that surrounds the manor, he meets a silver haired woman.
The woman was dressed in a sleeveless white shirt, black trousers, her arms covered in tattoos of runes and seals. On her left cheek was an elaborate seal that covered it completely. Her ears were long and pointed, which with her knife-like teeth unveiled her as an Elf.
“Miss Kalliope, we have a job for you.”
Kalliope rose from her seat with a sinister smile on her face. “You found where the fleet is?” Her voice was pleasant and warm, something any man would fall for.
“Yes, miss.” Audrad’s voice in contrast was rough. “They are still far from here but we are certain that we are their end target. So, we need you to go and disturb them.”
Her smile widened. “That certainly sounds fun.”
“You are permitted to leave immediately, miss.”
“Well then, what am I waiting for?”
“Good hunting, miss.” Audrad bowed as Kalliope took her leave.
Kalliope made her way to the manor to get her travelling gear, a cloak to hide her ears and a bag with provisions. As she got to the main door of the manor, Audrad was placing some flowers in a vase next to the door. He acknowledged her with a bow and she left the manor.
She took a parchment from the bag, in it was instructions on where the fleet was heading and how she would get there.
